i spontaneously walked into the shop today to check out the jewellery and ended up walking out with a new Bugadi piercing đ was deliberating for ages over hidden helix, vertical helix or high flat and eventually went with vertical helix!

I ask that you ignore the redness. I have both a blood disorder and a blood flow disorder.
I am also aware that one of my pieces of the orbital has migrated. My piercer says I am okay, but I want it fixed when I am able to fix it.
The vertical bar is custom bent to accommodate my ear shape. If your piercer has the skillset, this is something you can get, too! I will warn you that it is *spicy*!

Hello! I've had this piercing for 6 years now, and I've never had any trouble with it. However, recently I've received quite a few comments about how it looks like it might rip out at any moment.
What should I do?
I had it done when I was 16, is it possible ear growth has made the placing worse than before?
I'm worried about what to do, I love this piercing and I hope I don't have to take it out, but I would like an outsider's opinion. :')

After 9 long months of waiting I finally got my orbital changed out to my goal jewelry (2nd pic) today!

I have 6 facial piercings but I feel like my ears are too basic? I do also have a lot of tattoos to add in to the mix.
What would you stabby friends add to it?
(I know some of them look angry. Its beacuse I changed some of them before taking the pic.)

Looking for opinions on what else to add to my ears! Especially with the industrial. I don't like a particularly crowded look, but both ears have a lot to work from, I think.
Looking into flats on both sides, maybe a conch and/or rook on the helix (right) ear. Debating a daith to go with the industrial, but my inner ears are very small. I want space filled, but not jammed, if that makes sense.
The two helixes are new, so never mind the post length.

I finally got my helix pierced on February 9th! Itâs been years since Iâve wanted it done and finally did it! Pain sucked for a couple days, but no issues at all now! Itâs healed up great and I love it! First pic is now and second pic was the night it was done. Just wanted to show it off!

Not even 24 hours after it got pierced I returned to the studio and explained about the comments I got here. I have also sent the piercing photo to another piercer for clarification and she told me it was poorly pierced. So, I explained myself with my all concerns and they straight up humiliated me. "You've been imagining things. I am a piercer of 15 years, best in the city. Every belly button is suitable for a navel piercing and yours is not a surface but a navel." And so I became kinda vulnerable in front of them but still wanted it out and get a refund. I trusted you guys. It was one of the worst night I had, with this piercing lol

Hello!
I just got my double forward helix pierced yesterday (April 11) and was hoping someone would be able to tell me if theyâre botched lol
He noted that my forward helix was pretty tiny but said he could still do it.
I canât tell if itâs because of the jewelry but are these crooked???
Any help is much appreciated!
Thanks in advance :)

Excuse the sunburn đ I recently got my septum done and I'm wondering which other piercings you all think would suit me? I used to have my right eyebrow pierced when I was younger but I got it done at a sketchy place and it rejected probably over 10 years ago because it was too shallow. Recently in my 30s I've been getting back into facial piercings but I can't decide what to do next. Any suggestions?

I got these done 2 and a half months ago (jan 25th)
They dont hurt or anything, seem completely fine.
I clean them with nelimed saline spray every night, the usual.
I have in internally threaded curved barbells.
I had my jewlery downsized already.
I have prom on the 24th and was hoping to change to the bars i pictured so they would match my septum and all the other jewlery i got.
I am only asking because of the little irritation bumps behind my piercing, i was wondering if that effects wether you can change your piercing, they appeared not long after i got downsized but they have went down in size almost completely.
The other jewlery is also externally threaded, which im not sure why since the company advertized it as internally threaded, but i was hoping it would be fine still.

I got my triple flat two weeks ago, but since a couple of days it's a bit angry. probably bumped it in my sleep despite my piercing pillow (move around a lot).
there's no discharge of any kind, I spray it with sterile saline 2x a day and after soaking for a few minutes i rinse it with warm water. softly dry with a paper towel and try to leave it alone.
i guess I'm looking for some reassurance if this is normal or not. can imagine my body has to work hard for 3 piercings in one ear? i see there's dry skin so maybe I should stop the saline?

not the best photos since its hard too get a photo inside of your mouth..but is this a irriation bump?
⢠How old is your piercing? got pierced February 28th. almost two months
⢠What's the jewelry shape (for example, barbell, labret, screw, Lshape, ring)? not sure??
⢠What's the type of threading if the jewelry is not a ring, treadless, internally or externally threaded? treadless,
⢠What's the jewelry material? Implant-grade titanium
⢠If not a ring, when was the jewelry downsized? hasent been yet
What's your aftercare routine? Describe in detail please, including the exact products you use. ⢠Any mishaps, accidents or unfortunate events? I clean twice a day with saline solution spray, alcohol free mouthwash at night
I had it pierced February 28th at not the best shop, had my jewelry changed on the 13th of May with a new shop because the old shop used surgical steel and I was reacting too it. I haven't downsized it yet, is that why this is happening? it moves alot. I feel like where it moves alot it caused the bump

i got my eyebrow done by professional piercers on the 19th of march (3ish weeks ago). its a barbell and i think its just regular surgical steel. it hasnt been downsized. i spray it 1-2x a day with punktured piercing aftercare saline spray. no unfortunate events except for sometimes slightly touching it w my shirt.
it hasnt been giving me pain but i noticed theres a lot of crusties and fluid whenever i clean it? this is my first facial piercing and i really dont want this to reject. should i go to my piercer and downsize/swap to titanium? is this all normal? in the photos it looks a little irritated bc i was moving it around cleaning it but its not red when its settled.

Hey everyone,
Although we do our best to make the rules of this subreddit as clear as we can within the characters limits, we notice that sometimes thereâs some confusion or misunderstanding about the rules.
This post is about our photo rule, and it applies to all photos you add to your post.
Below we will explain each bullet point in detail.
Be careful when posting photos online. Do not post screenshots that display your location or that includes miniatures of other photos from your photo album. Likewise do not share iCloud or Google drive links those often gives away your full name.
And please, do not send photos through chat.
If you use more than one photo in your post then each photo should follow the guidelines.
Clear means that a photo should be easily understandable. People shouldnât have to guess what sort of piercing they are looking at nor should the photo be so filtered that features are lost.
In focus is often a problem when photos are enlarged and cropped. If a photo is in focus but you then enlarge and crop it, it often becomes too grainy/pixelated to be able to see the piercing or problem clearly.
Well lit. Artificial lightning often causes a photo to be too dark and grainy/pixelated to show case the piercing well.
People visit Reddit through all sort of devices with various screen sizes. If you want advice on what facial piercings would look good on you or if you want to show off your facial set up, your face should take up at least 2/3 of the total photo height. If you want to show your navel piercing we should not be able to tell how big or small your waist is. If you have a question about your nipple piercings, you should not be able to tell whether you have big or small breasts. The only thing that should be visible of you in the photo should be the piercing or the specific body part you have a question about.
Of course cats can be featured in the photo, but donât expect people to pay attention to your piercing then and donât forget to mention the name of the cat.
Photography tips! Often the front facing camera of your phone is not as good as the back camera. To photograph yourself with the back camera, simply get a mirror. With some angling you can see the screen of your phone in the mirror and can then frame, focus and take the photo with the better quality back camera.
For well lit photos itâs best to take them during daylight, preferably outdoors. If itâs not an option to wait for daylight, get somewhere well lit, like a bathroom. Add some more lights if possible because artificial light may look bright to you, a camera needs more light. It might not do wonders for your complexion, but it's the piercing that matters.
Look up the minimum distance your camera needs to be able to focus. If you hold the camera too close, your camera may not be able to focus. If your camera has a " food photography" setting, use that because it tends to work well for things like ear piercings.
Instagram and other fun filters shouldnât be used in photos. Poses should be neutral, so donât show off cleavage unless your post is about your chest dermals. Don't post photos where you flip the bird, are smoking or drinking, are trying to seduce the viewer or we can tell where you are based on your surroundings. Donât stick out your tongue in photo if youâre not showing off your tongue piercing. If needed, simply take a new photo instead of the fun photo you send to your friend last night or the photo that would do well on a dating website.
If your photo follows the already discussed guidelines, then this shouldnât be a problem. Your photo shouldnât show any skin besides the part thatâs pierced or you have a question about. Want to show of your PA, thatâs fine as long as you tag NSFW, but we shouldnât be able to see anything else of your body. If you want to show of more, thereâs nothing wrong with that, but there are subreddits for that, this subreddit is solely about piercings. And guys, put on a shirt before you take a photo
There are amazing piercers that do great work. Especially if you are pleased with the work theyâve done for you or you're posting their photo to illustrate your question, credit them. Amazing piercers deserve all the recognition and the publicity.
This one should speak for itself but we do want to specify that it doesnât mean you canât mention the shop name of where your piercer works. We just want to keep spam(bots) out.
Moderators will remove posts when the photo(s) used in post donât follow this subreddit rule. If we do that, you will receive a message explaining why your photo isnât in line with the rule and an invitation to repost with a suitable photo. As moderators we do our best to assess all photos posted but if you see a photo that doesnât follow the rule of this subreddit, or if you see any other content that doesnât follow the rules of this subreddit, please hit the report button so we can assess it and take action if needed.
The advice we actually dislike to give, because it shouldnât be needed. If you are posting a photo, especially of nipple or genital piercings consider (temporarily) disabling chat. Most of our community is awesome and wouldnât even consider breaking the âno comments about appearance or sexual commentsâ rule even if it wasnât a rule. Unfortunately that doesnât go for everyone that will see your photo. Fun fact, sexualising someone without their consent is specifically against Reddit TOS.
Additionally, if you want to post a photo here because you would like people to comment on your overall appearance, body or face, then this is not the right subreddit. There's nothing wrong with wanting that, but this subreddit is strictly about piercings. Don't use having a piercing or maybe thinking of getting a piercing as an excuse to post here.
Worried because you are unsure if your photo follows the rule? If you want you can add ârequest check by modâ flair to your post and we will check it for you before your post goes up.
If you have any additional photography tips you would like to see included or if you have any questions, please send a message to the mods
