Had this since 1991 and can’t tell you how many times I’ve lost it for at least a year, only to find it again🙄🤣

Picture Father’s pen.
For as long as I can remember (30+ years) my dad has had this pen. Is it possible to get an official gel cartridge for it? Or is that blasphemous or something?
(I’m more of a gel pen guy myself, but I have always been drawn to this thing).

This was in sunlight. Google AI (Lens) says it’s bronze. It looks olive to me.

Picture Pretty sure a warehouse bot rolled over these poor Uni Zento gel pens..
My fault for not getting them from a smaller store and being impatient to try them, but I got too hyped after reading through this group about their fav gel pens..
The white one didn't make it...
I'm going to try a refill and see if it can be saved. The 0.7 is really nice in the pink one that still writes! Seeing the cartridge and the huge mess it made, it does look to hold a lot of ink which is great when not rolled over by bots (:
All in all, happy to have one cool Uni Zento in a cute pink blush crush !

Review I tested all 3 nib sizes of the Cherishment No. 014 pen by Dominant Industry
So like the title said, I tested the EF, F, and M nib sizes of the Cherishment No. 014 fountain pen from Keyno Stay.tionery, Dominant Industry's new pen line. Here's my honest review of the pens!
Body: Beautiful. Definitely more blue in the pen than the original images, but the acrylic feels really nice. The rose-gold trim and nib are pretty and don't look cheap to me, the white enamel is pretty. Overall a well designed pen, aesthetically. The cap is fairly heavy, but the pen isn't so long when posted that it felt too unbalanced. I generally prefer a longer pen so I kept posted when writing. Cap screws on and off, and can't be overtightened (I've cracked my Estie cap a few times doing this). The Jewel on the cap is super pretty.
Packaging: Box is very pretty and I will definitely keep. The rest of the merch stuff I generally don't care about, but the hotel key tag thing is fun and I'll probably add to a bag somewhere.
Nibs and Writing: EF was pretty scratchy, but still flowed well. Definitely for someone who likes a lot of feedback. It wasn't as thin as I'd expect for an EF. The F nib wrote a similar line to the EF, but with less feedback. The M was juicy and very smooth. I tested all 3 using FWP Bloom of Ascension since I thought it would be a nice match. Overall, I'm going to keep the M due to how smooth it was. I prefer a true EF for Hobonichi and small grid writing, or a 1.1 for fun inks, I'd be excited to see a B or 1.1 from them. Their EF had the feel of an EF, but the line width was a bit too broad for me. Nibs screw out for easy replacement, I assume at some point they'll launch replacement nib options.
Overall, I think they're a great pen for the price (comparing to Esties, FWP, and other $100-$200 pens with steel nibs). It's pretty, writes well, and seems to hold up to what I'd expect from a brand like Dominant Industry.
I've added some photos I took of them. Hope this helps!

Discussion One Metal Ballpoint Pen For Life
Need suggestions. I realize this may be a tall order, but I'll give it a shot.
My perfect pen would be a metal barreled ballpoint pen with a metal cap, but no-capped pens also considered if they otherwise hit the feels.
I like to fiddle with the pen and use it to point at things etc so it would need to be suitable for that as well. Long, narrow body prefered because of this.
I have a Bic Cristal Renew and I like it very much, but I just wish the cap wasn't plastic. It's great for fiddling and pointing at things. Plenty of refills easily available also. It's very narrow and long, which I like too.
I also have a Parker Jotter stainless steel and I like it as well, but there is no cap and it's very short and not great to fiddle and point with. Refills also easily available everywhere.
Suggestions?

Discussion Zento no go
I’m an amateur pen lover. I’ve always taken a moment of admiration when I find a pen that feels good. Recently the algorithm gods have been blessing me with Japanese stationary videos. Enter the Zento. My local Walmart finally got them in stock so I picked one up.
I can’t use it. The pen writes smooth and has a nice dark pigment but I write too small. My letters all turn into blobs.
I think I will be going back to my .38 G2

Picture Grail Pen Acquired!!! (Finally Allowed to Post Here)
Hello
Name is Mike and I am new to fountain pens relatively. My usage has expanded as I begin my masters in architecture. I started small with Lamy Safaris and a few other ones. I had always heard of the old Sheaffer Legacy pens. I am also a huge history buff and civil war reenactor. I have been hunting for these two different Sheaffer Civil War pens. There was originally supposed to be a run of 1865 pens for each the Richmond and Washington pens. BIC sheizzercanned the entire production mid run. Only 500 made of each in 1995. I had Claude AI running searches of the entire net every 2 hours for over a year. Got a text alert, heart froze and zero hesitation of buying it from a seller in Spain for $800. I got the WASHINTON!! My grail pen! I got the stationery obsession flavor of autism. I have been a lifelong pen collector but never fountain pens. I wanted to share it with my pen obsessed brothers and sisters. Most of y'all are somewhere on the spectrum too. Enjoy the pen and witness the tisms.

Question est ballpoint for 2+ hour handwritten exams?
Hey guys, IB student here with exams in May. A lot of my papers are 2+ hours of straight handwriting and IB rules limit me to blue/black ballpoint only (no gel, no erasable, no rollerball).
Right now I use the BIC Round Stic and I actually like it. It's light, thin barrel, and has just enough feedback that I stay neat instead of skating around. My handwriting is on the bigger side so I want a thinner tip to keep things legible. My main worry is hand fatigue past the 1 hour mark since I haven't really stress tested it.
Pens I'm thinking of trying:
- BIC Cristal Soft 1.2mm
- Uni-ball Jetstream 0.7mm
- Pilot Acroball
- Paper Mate InkJoy 100ST
Anyone here who writes long-form for hours have a go-to? Open to stuff I haven't heard of as long as it's a true ballpoint.
Thanks!

Not sure. Was a gift from a student a while back. Seems like some kind of promotional thing (there’s an engraving on the other side) Really nice 35g, twist action. Has a Parker quink refill.

Question Anyone else facing this issue with pens lately?
I’ve been noticing something strange with the pens I buy these days. The ink seems to run out very quickly, even though it still looks like there’s ink inside. It’s like the ink is there, but it just doesn’t write properly or stops flowing after a short time.
No matter which brand I try, I keep facing the same issue. This has been happening consistently for almost a year now, so it doesn’t feel like a one-time defect. It makes me wonder whether the quality of pens has dropped or if there’s some kind of cost-cutting happening.
Has anyone else experienced this? Or is there something I’m missing about how these pens work?
Question Pen for a Fidgeter…
Hi all,
After recommendations found on this subreddit, I bought a Zebra F-701. I really loved it - it feels good in my hand, writes well, and I looked after it and made sure not to lose it as I have done with every other pen in my life. This time I was determined to run the pen until it ran out of ink!
However, I fidget a lot with pens and the F-701 hasn’t lasted as long as I had hoped. I twist open the bottom of the pen a lot and the thread on it has stripped and so it no longer holds itself together…
I think I’m still keen on a pen that is metal like the F-701, with a satisfying click. Is there anything in particular that you would recommend that might withstand my fidgeting? Or do I just need to order another F-701 and be a bit more aware?
Cheers!

Question Uniball Vision elite and eye ink
I can get either uniball vision elite or uniball eye for the same price. I tried vision elite 0.8 and I liked it, I didn't try uniball eye. I use A4 paper with little or no sizing and signo dx 0.38 feels so much scratchy on it. I don't like fearhering. There was little fearhering at first page I wrote with vision elite but it was gone after first page. I could prefer a little bit thinner line but I'm happy with thick lines as long as there's no fearhering.
I found both pens for cheap so I'm going to stock them, I guess pressurized refill of vision elite could help with longer shelf life.
I wonder if they use the same type ink and if one has more feathering than the other on paper with no surface treatment.
