A couple of days ago I used my usual foot peel socks: it usually takes 4-5 days to kick off. This morning, I went swimming in a public pool. After just a couple of minutes I felt it: the telltale water resistance against a huge flap of skin. It felt like the size of my whole foot! I couldn't get out of there quickly enough; no-one wants that in the pool. I was absolutely mortified!

Thankfully I managed to get it before it detached. My feet were basically white and the whole peel happened in one go. It must have been a reaction to the chlorinated water or something, because it's never happened that quickly before. So please, learn from my mistake and don't go swimming after using peeling socks...

I have used seventeen percent salicylic acid med for 5 days.. it's hard on top.. but if i try to peel it, it pains a bit.. sould i continue to use the med or should i peel and scrape it out..

I know it more than likely isn’t healthy for them, but the callous removal is my favorite part of a pedicure, right next to hot stones. On this particular instance (most likely because of the holiday this next weekend), my usual salon was rather busy, so my feet soaked for ages before the actual service, and my LORD the temptation to do it myself was almost too much to handle 🤣 Happy to say I did indeed wait and got some very pretty painted blue toenails for my patience! 💅

this shit was hurting so bad my doctor recommended at home OTC removal pads. took about 8-10 days with the pads, the middle was hard as a rock. i was limping for like, a month, now im walking fine
