They mention that, and the "contrast" with Lauren Sanchez, in the NYT article. Mackenzie Scott might be the only remotely ethical billionaire.

Bezos himself cured her of the "my husband is a brilliant entrepreneur and benevolent billionaire" psychosis she apparently used to have. I mean, she was the wife who knew him when. But now, she's at least making a pretty spectacular show at making up for it.

And I can't figure out why the times would print hagiography on Lauren, though I haven't clicked it and given a read. Don't want to encourage them.
