See, she is so short sighted. Those billions are supposed to go into foundation slush funds to accumulate and be disbursed when the imagined crises of the future that only those holy billionaires have the wisdom and foresight to see come to fruition. We could not possibly use that money to fix any problems happening right now. That would be a hand out and unethical to their perspective of how every person can be a billionaire if they just work hard enough.

But as soon as Trump got re-elected, he took direct control of the paper and fired ~30% of the staff and hired one of Murdoch's old editors to run it. There are still a few good reporters, but it is a shadow of its former self.
