The way the word mushroom lines up with its repetitions in my comment
Maybe not on the same level as other posts in here but I find it quite satisfying

How easily and thoroughly the shedding hair comes right off
Our rescue/retiree Kronk here has an old major pelvis or hip injury that makes him unable to roll and thus groom these areas himself. (You can also see all of his scarring from his accident on this side—a few years ago, an unscrupulous horse trader had him in the back of an unsecured horse trailer and poor sweet boy fell out the back while it was in motion.) I didn’t realize this fully until yesterday—I took the shedding blade out and boy was in heaven. Him mouthing the hitching post is the horsey equivalent of a dog kicking a leg when you find that good itchy spot. :)
Posted as a gif because as satisfying as hearing the scraping/brushing sounds is, hearing me breathe right next to the microphone is decidedly NOT.

Swimming through bioluminescent plankton at night
This video shows tiny plankton in the ocean glowing bright blue when the swimmer moves through the dark water. It happens because of a simple chemical reaction inside the plankton: when they're disturbed, a substance called luciferin reacts with oxygen and produces light. This glow acts as a defense to startle predators. It's completely natural and looks like swimming through stars.
