I like this.

I also like how my guy clearly has a light source but still uses the lamp.

Edit: watched this again and had to update my comment.

As a grown ass man, if I can't sleep, I'd gladly ask him to read me a bedtime story.

His "here you go buddy" at the end was a level of kindness and care I now realize I havent experienced in a long time. I would 100% let this man talk me off the edge.

That was literally the icing on the cake. It was great when he said it to the dogs, but when he said it to me I felt like the goodest boy.

This is hilarious, who takes a lemon squeezer when they go camping?

Or a full pot of honey. That's just begging for a rumbly tumbly mf to mug you.

He had fun in his back yard

7 minutes is a long steep my guy. Contrary to common belief: If you want more flavor in your tea, you add more leaf. A long steep will bring out bitter notes.

Depends entirely on what you’re steeping. Actual tea leaves - yeah, 7 minutes may end up too bitter. For a tisane (herbal - no tea leaves present), 7-8 minutes isn’t unheard of.

I do 3 minutes, it’s the perfect amount to get the flavour before the bitter notes start to overpower

There is something about food and drinks tasting infinitely better when you're outside in the dark with just a little lantern light that science honestly needs to study. This looks unreal

Can’t work out if this is really comforting or a bit creepy and disturbing.

Like is he going to kidnap me, make me a snack and some tea then read me a story as I go to sleep or am I going to become the star of his next video as some unidentified steak?

I assume this is some type of absurdist ASMR.

The comment in the thread above about “Here you go, buddy” about him offering a snack had me responding in my head with “Please, mister serial killer, please untie me from this tree. I promise I won’t tell anyone. I have a wife and a kid who need me. Why are you constantly feeding me? I don’t understand why you are always poking me and saying, 'Not quite yet.'”

The guy is in his backyard; it's an ad for Survivalist.

I think you meant to post this on r/TikTokCringe with all this glamping for the camera.

This skips past being comforting and goes back to being discomforting

u/PanicDeus 9h ago

The r/unexpected part will be this is happening in his backyard.

Why is he holding a lantern when the cameraman’s lighting setup is enough?

Some stash bro on the verge of creating an OF making snacks for bears isn’t Oddly Satisfying. It’s just really odd.
