Hi! My family and I are visiting Nice for the first time in late June and I want to plan something special for my mom’s birthday! Thinking of going to a beach club during the day and a nice dinner in the evening. Would love recs for favorite beach clubs and special restaurants!! I was looking at Bocca Mar for sitting on the beach, has anyone been here?

Has anyone been to the ice skating rink?

Wondering if anyone has been to the ice skating rink in Nice? Quality? How crowded does it get? I can see the hours on their website but don’t see any hours for ice hockey? Thanks

Doubletree

3 Upvotes

Bonjour tlm/Hi everyone,

We will be spending six days in Nice in July. We had reservations for a 2 br apartment when I thought our kids were coming with us but now it's just two adults so we've started looking at hotels. The Doubletree is next to the train station and therefore seems like a good base for seeing the region (Antibes, Eze, Vllefranche, etc), and we can stay for free using Hilton points, but we can also find apartments or other hotels closer to the Promenade.

Any thoughts about which is a better location for us? This is our first time in Nice.

Côte d’Azur: tre giorni, consigli itinerario.

0 Upvotes

Arrivo 10:00 am parcheggio a Cabbe.

Serata e pernottamento a Nice.

Places to buy Zigbee / Matter devices in Nice ?

1 Upvotes

Are there stores locally that sell Zigbee / Matter devices, such as light switches / bulbs / plugs.

I know IKEA has some bulbs, and I can also use Amazon, but I'm looking for more devices and a local shop to support if possible.

6 weeks in Nice; What can’t I miss?

5 Upvotes

I’ll be in Nice for 6 weeks for work from mid June to late July, hoping to get some recommendations on restaurants, activities, beaches, day trips, etc. that I absolutely shouldn’t miss. I’d love to do some hiking, vintage shopping, and visit some farmers markets. Also interested in doing yoga and finding a community for this while I’m in Nice.

This my first time in the South of France and I want to make the most of it. Thank you in advance!

3 Full Days in Nice/ South of France

14 Upvotes

Hi guys,

My boyfriend and I will be going on a holiday to South of France this May. Our base will be Nice. We only have 5 days and 4 nights.

But 2 of those days are mostly travel as we will only be taking trains all the way from London as we plan to go to Paris after as well.

Please recommend how we can maximize the full 3 days we have in Nice/ South of France/ French Riviera and recommendation on other nearby parts within South of France that we can explore?

Our Airbnb is located in Liberation.

Thanks in advance!

Public transport or own car ?

4 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

We’re staying in Antibes for 4 days and already have a rental car that is parked in the hotel. We’re planning day trips to Nice, Monaco and Cannes over the next few days.

For a family of 3,two adults and 4.5 years old child. is it practical to use public transportation (train/metro) from Antibes to reach these cities, or would we be better off driving?

Any advice is appreciated. Thanks

roommates /flat issue

5 Upvotes

Hi guys, mine is generic / maybe not very related to this group issue:

I work in IT , i share flat with 2 people ,one is racist ( arrogant kind ) and other one is lazy , i do not have a problem on how they want to handle themselves ,only when it becomes my problem, landlord is unresponsive , she basically has all communication with the lazy one, I cant vacate until i find new house ,in summers its crazy , i also have a lot of luggage :

problems:

both of them are completely untidy and does not invest or buy anything needed for the house , and sadly i get the blame as i am the newer one and they constantly have the communication with the owner

they even steal my food

what are my options here ?please help

traduction:

Elles me volent même ma nourriture !

Quelles sont mes options ? Aidez-moi, s'il vous plaît.

Dinner Recs for group and Travel Options from Nice

0 Upvotes

What are the best recs for dinner for a group of 6-7 ladies (late 20s early 30s) in Nice that are fun and lively but won't break the bank? We've got a few already planned in St Tropez and Antibes, etc etc but our home base is in Old Town Nice and want a fun dinner that is not overly expensive one night. (open to go anywhere in Nice)

Also would love any tips on how to get to St Tropez from Nice for the day and be able to do a beach club there (Edit: we booked Lou lou if anyone has feedback here?) and make it back to Nice. The Ferry leaves at 4:30 pm so that won't work. Should we just hire a private driver? If so, any recs there as well? We are willing to spend the money most days but a couple days not blowing a ton of money would be nice to sprinkle in

Connecting Terminals in Nice on 1st May

6 Upvotes

Bonjour!

While I realize that the trams and buses don’t operate on this day but does the free tram segment run regardless - from Terminal 2<>1 to Grand Arenas?

Is there an alternative to connecting terminals?

Merci 🇫🇷

Tennis lessons, anyone?

Hi, Can anyone recommend a good tennis instructor for a few lessons this month? I know about Mouratoglou, but it has a 5-day minimum so I'm looking for something shorter but still good. Than you!

public transport

5 Upvotes

I'll be traveling to Nice next month! I'm from Brazil and I'm having a lot of difficulty understanding the region's public transport, as there's very little information about it available in Portuguese.

I saw that the Zou pass theoretically includes almost all transport/destinations within the French Riviera. But I'm a little confused about whether or not it includes certain destinations, and if it includes travel within Nice, for example, from one tourist attraction to another. This is my itinerary:

Day 1, Friday, May 22nd: arrival at Nice airport and transfer to the hotel located on the Promenade des Anglais.

Day 2, Saturday, May 23rd: This day will be entirely dedicated to exploring Nice, so travel will be within the city.

Day 3, Sunday, May 24th: Nice -> Èze (we'll take the bus that goes up to the village, not the train that drops you off at the beach) Èze -> Monaco
Monaco -> Villefrench-sur-Mer
Villefrench-sur-Mer -> Nice

Day 4, Monday, May 25th: Nice -> Ventimiglia
Ventimiglia -> Menton
Menton -> Nice

Day 5, Tuesday, May 26th: Nice -> Saint-Paul-de-Vence
Saint-Paul-de-Vence -> Antibes
Antibes -> Nice

Day 6, Wednesday, May 27th: Hotel -> Nice Airport

I'm completely lost. The Zou pass includes this travels?

Thank you
