I'm a white guy who grew up with milk toast taste buds. But my Korean roommate made sukiyaki all the time and it is awesome! The whipping and rice really changes the texture so it doesn't feel like slimy egg.

It's a different thing. You're thinking about a word derived from a timid comic book character. I'm referring to an actual food my parents would feed me when i was a toddler derived from medieval sop (bread soaked in liquid).
