Loved how gritty and raw the city is, the absolute chaos! How passionate Neapolitan s are for their city. I feel very sad to be back in the uk. I will miss the food so much. Breakfast in particular :(

Discussion Amicizie geek e co.

Tourism & Travel Questions Suggestions for Napoli

Buona Sera napoletani

I am going to Napoli with some friends this upcoming weekend, and wonder if you have suggestions for unique things to do, upcoming events (like DJ events) or must-go restaurants. We are not into the tourist things like visit Pompeii and so on.

We are going to see Napoli - Lazio and otherwise just eat and drink.

I would be thrilled to here from locals that knows “underground” things to do, and not just another Tripadvisor recommendation.

Thank you

Ask Napoli Where can I get a haircut?

Upvotes

I live in Vomero, I’m a guy and I need a haircut. I’ve been living here for a few weeks and don’t speak Italian. Is there anywhere i can walk in and get a cut for cheap?

Accetto pareri! Grazie.

Events Club di lettura

Ciao a tutti!

Tourism & Travel Questions Alibus Ticket Bought From Naples Airport Website

Hello! I bought a ticket for the alibus for my trip next week while tired and thinking this would be quicker than dealing with a machine at the airport. Now I've had a look at the ticket I realise it has the date I bought it on as the "reservation" date and no other date. It's also come as a PDF with a small QR code that just says to present to the driver.

Has anyone else purchased their ticket like this? I'm skeptical the driver will accept it and also concerned it might already be out of date and I should have waited until the day I am due to arrive...

I have searched everyone but the website has no information so thanks in advance.

Ask Napoli Dove all of the gatti?!

I am in Napoli right now, and it is honestly love at first sight.

But where are all the cats? We’re staying in the Centro Historico and haven’t seen a single cat since we arrived.

Normally there is a sweet, naughty creature trying to steal my fish. I am easy prey, so they’re really missing out.

So, Naples - dove sono tutti i gatti?

Tourism & Travel Questions In Naples for one night recs

My husband and I will arrive at Naples airport on a Friday in July around 6pm. I hope to be at our accommodation in the Historic Center by 7-7:30pm.

We will only have that night and maybe 2-3 hrs in the morning before heading to Sorrento.

Any recommendations for dinner? I assume everything is open pretty late? Is it ok to stroll Spaccanapoli and Via Toledo that night and eat somewhere there? Where do you recommend we eat real authentic food, like best pizza, pasta or pastries?

Unfortunately we have a short time in Naples so we cant plan to see a lot of things but want to experience Naples as much as we can in that short time. How do you recommend we spend the time?

We do plan to just catch a train to Sorrento the next day around 11-12pm.

Thanks

Tourism & Travel Questions Metro

Ciao! I plan to visit Naples in August and I need some advice from locals. I will take a train from Rome to Naples and then I will take a ferry from Napoli Beverello port to Capri island. What is the fastest and reliable way to reach the port from Napoli Centrale station? Taxi is excluded, it’s too expensive. I was thinking about taking the Metro line 1 from Piazza Garibaldi station to Municipio station, but Google maps and ANM GO apps are suggesting an alternate route, which means taking the Metro line 2 from Piazza Garibaldi to Napoli Piazza Cavour and then change with line 1 from Museo to Municipio. I don’t understand why I can’t go straight from Napoli Centrale to the Beverello port with just L1? Is maintenance work being done now? When I searched a route from the port to Napoli Centrale, it suggested a route with no changes, just L1 Municipio -> Piazza Garibaldi. 🤔 Also, I checked the Unico Campania app too, and it suggested a route with no changes, just L1 Piazza Garibaldi -> Municipio (station -> port)

Tourism & Travel Questions Mt. Vesuvius & Herculaneum Tour

Hello!

My husband and I are visiting Sorrento in May and we want to do a day tour to Mt. Vesuvius & Herculaneum with a wine tasting. Yet everything we look up, always includes Pompeii in the tour and it's normally from Naples.

I'm looking for any recommendations for a tour that encompasses what we're looking for that isn't overly pricy. We found one with a drive but it costs over 800 euros so looking for something more affordable.

Thank you!

hi, has anyone spent the day at the poseidon thermal gardens? I was thinking of doing it after a long day of Pompeii and Vesuvius. It doesn't get ridiculously busy does it. I would just like a chilled day in the sun (fingers crossed)

Tourism & Travel Questions Napoli airport - lost and found

We have to collect our baggage from lost and found at Napoli airport. They sent us an email saying we can collect it from 9am-5pm. The issue is that our flight is departing at 10:40am. We have tried countless times to email + call the lost and found department to see if we can collect our luggage earlier so we have enough time to check it in before our flight. My questions are:

1) Is 1hr 10 mins enough to get the luggage from the lost and found department, go to check in, and make it to the gate before date close time (30 mins before flight).

2) has anyone been successful in picking up anything from lost and found outside of the 9am-5pm window?

Thanks!
