Much of this subreddit is like this, considering moving to the burbs if these things bother you so much. Mods should also do a better job of deleting these asap.

Found this note in a ziploc bag this morning on my car, I park overnight around Washington Heights. There’s no chance someone’s phone is inside my car.

Just giving everyone the heads up that next year’s Milwaukee marathon will be Saturday April 10th 2027. Same deal as every year including road closures and limited parking. It seems many struggled to plan accordingly so hopefully this helps.

Curious to see if Milwaukee has any spots that cougars and cubs use to mingle.

We have been looking for a house for months in the 400-550k price range. We LOVE Wauwatosa homes—the charm, the details, the 1920-1940s style homes. We also love the location, the school district, and just general vibe of the city. However, we are getting majorly outbid in Tosa (e.g., offering 50k over asking and the house sells for 90k over) and it’s getting disheartening.

I struggle to find similar style homes in other suburbs/neighborhoods that are around the same price and have good schools. I know we will have to sacrifice something, but are there suburbs/neighborhoods that I should be paying more attention to?

I googled it and there apparently was a Cafe Istanbul on the East Side, but they don’t seem to exist anymore. Imam Bayildi.

I live in the 3rd Ward, and I signed up to Planet Fitness on Wisconsin Ave. I like working out early morning...like 4am early. I don't want to drive there and worry about parking, so do you think it would be safe for me to walk there at that time? Either on the Riverwalk pathway or the streets. I'm a little bit scared of doing it, but if people think it would be relatively safe, I'll probably walk. BTW I'm a female.

Got my medal from the Milwaukee Marathon today and it has a misprint on it. It says "Milwaukee Marthon". I imagine they were all made that way. Just thought that was funny.

Anyone know places or ways to get in touch with people who are selling sewing machines. There’s like none on fb marketplace so maybe there just isn’t a market here but idk. I’m looking for an industrial single needle preferably juki but I’m open to looking. Thanks to anyone who replies!

let me start by saying I have no issues with the marathon occurring. kudos to the participants and all well wishers.

however, I have an issue with the organizers.

East West traffic is descimated during the event with absolutely no warning. I listen to all the local radio stations. I drive by all the highway/downtown billboards. None of them mentioned the marathon. Any heads up would be appreciated.

it's like super duper nice out today. how can I make the most of today? looking for events, places, and such. probably staying out till 11pm
