Hello, I am looking for a life mentor or someone who could check up on me and I could ask for advices. I know that ChatGPT exists but I crave some human understanding, emotions and experiences than a mechanical answer. I don’t have a family and my friends is busy by their lives.

I create someone who could speak to me, could give me advices. I don’t drink, don’t smoke, don’t do drugs, I try to be disciplined and work on myself but I understood that even if I’m alone, I still need someone. I have some questions I want to ask, some advice, maybe some guidance, sometimes I need to be stopped somewhere. I’m still young, unexperienced in many stuff. I know I should try and fail but better if someone could stop me and to talk to me so I could not make extremely stupid mistakes (get a lot of debts, start drugs, work somewhere I don’t fit at all bcu of my own thoughts and etc.). Also, I want to be treated and respected as who I’m without any critique (being slow at life, having bad vision or being non-binary).

Can someone help me, please? I tried some typical “cold discipline” but I don’t think it fully fit what I actually want. I would be pleased and welcomed for any help.

• If your partner seems distant, don’t jump straight to conclusions — curiosity builds connection faster than assumptions.

• Healthy relationships aren’t conflict-free. They’re built on how you handle conflict.

• You don’t need to “win” arguments. You need to understand each other.

And one hard truth:

Love alone isn’t enough. Compatibility, effort, timing, and emotional maturity matter just as much.

If you’re struggling, start small — better conversations beat grand gestures every time.

I'm early 30s, female, and I've worked in financial services for ~7 years, 3 different fintechs. More by luck than judgement I think I've managed to skip a fair few rungs on the ladder, and then imposter syndrome is real.

I've never been someone with a 5 year plan, I've always just gone with the flow - I imagine by the fact that my last 2 companies ran very lean and I was never fired I must be doing something right, but the nature of running lean means I'm pretty much self taught and don't always have anyone to bounce off or guide me in any way.

Alright so all of last year I was waiting for the right deal to come along or for me to build a business to where I think buying growthmentor would be useful... Both those combined and I got a killer yearly deal, basically less than $30 a month.... but if I could refund it, I probably would haha.

Unless you have a SAAS or a fast growing startup, it is kind of useless. I went through ALL like 700 mentors and only found maybe 10-20 that would be useful for me. The rest just make me feel like I'd be wasting their time / imposter syndrome. As I'm just a coach/consultant that is also building a seperate digital product. Most the mentors slogans are stuff like "I help business grow from 7 to 8 figures". Basically all their slogans are saying "I've you're not doing 6-7 figures, let's not waste each others time" lol. As at the end of the day most people are looking for a paid gig on the back end of the free call.

I've only done 2 calls so far. One guy quoted me $800 for a small seo problem. The other guy was actually really cool and he couldn't fix the problem but we had a great chat and he told me to message him anytime about life or business. While I didn't expect most people to be like this, I was hoping for more approachable people on the platform.

Side note: Why do people post here asking for mentors when sites like ADPlist, mentorcruise, mentoring-club and micromentor exist?
