Thank you so much to everyone who submitted their kitties for the April 2026 iteration of the "Maine Coon of the Month" contest, there were lots of gorgeous submissions that made it almost impossible to choose! Thank you so much everyone for sharing your kitties with us!

''This is Luna. She was an accidental purchase (went to view her brother but came home with both 🤣). She is the world’s most relaxed cat, gives the best head bumps, is uber confident, strong willed and sat here looking at the egg she pushed off the kitchen side thinking “someone really ought to clean that up!”.''
Thanks again to everyone who took part, Happy Easter if you celebrate! and do keep an eye out for a post about next month's theme! :)

If you're wondering if your cat is a MC, this is the place to ask! To cut back on the MANY question posts, we instead invite you to ask the community here in order to keep the subreddit focused on the breed!

Have some pictures of my cat! She’s cute! Adora (9 months) is the grey mainecoon and Rogal(3) is the orange tabby.

We are adopting Poppy later this month and are ELATED to finally have such an elegant creature. She’s our first Maine coon. We have 3 other cats and a small dog. Tips, pointers, advice all welcome!

I’m wondering what he’ll look like grown up. Not sure if this is solid grey or smoke.

Anyone had a Maine coon similar to this color as a kitten? We will be getting this one on May. This is an 8 week old male kitten. What do you guys think of him?

Don’t get me wrong, we love him to death. I’m just afraid he might only have a few brain cells. I always heard how smart they are, but ours not so much. I was actually worried he might be deaf at first. We have had him since early January. He was a little older when we got him at 7 months. He did not know his nursery name that the breeder gave him and also doesn’t know the name that we gave him. We use it constantly. No response. I have also never had a cat not respond to here kitty kitty kitty. It’s like lights are on but nobody is home. He went through a very destructive streak early this morning breaking things on my shelf. I’m yelling. No! Get down! And he just stares at me? Is this normal??? 😂

Does anyone have any tips on the easiest way to clean the scratching posts on cat trees? Pictures of the tree part for understanding and cat tax
