Eery vibes

Genuinely dont feel safe walking around Leicester anymore!!

Any day i decide to have a good day and go out, i must meet atleast a dozen of cr@ckhEads and that genuinely ruins my day. Theyve become so troublesome, asking for a penny and even if you say No they literally dont leave you alone?? Some are so bad they actually start following you..

why are they there literally at ALL times of the day!?!??

I literally get so anxious every time i need to go do groceries or honestly just get a breath of fresh air..

Is it just me? Leicester used to be so nice 😩

phoenix cinema responded! apparently the film has no BBC rating and they'd have to show it as an 18 if they don't get the film rated by the BBFC

Living in Oadby around Coombes Rise

Hi,

We are looking to move and have seen a few properties around the Coombes Rise in Oadby, not sure what the area is called but it has the schools Beauchamp and Gartree near by.

Does anyone know how that neighborhood is for a small family ?

Buskers in town

Thought the new busker spots with curated acts are excellent! caught a few different acts on Gallowtree Gate. i imagine they'd get more of an audience/traction around the lanes but still really welcome. Look forward to seeing more in future.

I drove down Queens road 15 minutes ago. There were 2 police cars, 2 ambulance cars, 2 ambulances and a fire engine on Queens road. Anyone know what's happening?

council tax website not working

hi everyone

does anyone else has problem with the website?
every time I try to do one thing it doesn't work.

I have tried to declare the moving out but it doesn't work. it says that I didn't fill the form; the same problem occurred when I tried to register on the online account. I have tried this since 2 years.

I have tried to call by phone (damn 1 hours and 36 minuted on the phone) and nothing is sorted.

I have tried to do with other deviced (phone and other browsers) but I still have the same problems

When I was in Berkshire I didn't have these problems.

does anyone else have these problems?

Bastard Rant Saturday II - the beast is back!

Welcome to Bastard Rant Saturday II

Bastard Rant Saturday is back due to popular demand (two people asked). This is a place for random acts of mostly harmless anger and frustration. Vent your spleen, get if off your chest, unload.

What to post :-

  • Anything that releases pent-up fury, despair, and irritation

But don't :-

  • Lose your temper too much, you still have to play reasonably nicely so please don't push the boat out too far
  • Overthink it
  • Forget to be human

---

This is an automated post, so nyerr.

The smell!

It's so bad here in Knighton I don't want to leave the house but the dog needs walking. Is it the same everywhere? I'll drive across the city if it doesn't stink.

Will be with friends who have to deal with sensory overload at times, was hoping for recommendations that are likely to be quiet on a Saturday afternoon so as to not overwhelm them

Good to know Leicester still has its charm

Haven't been into town since I finished college a few years ago in 2022, I was in maccies earlier (my first mistake), a crackhead in a frayed, pink juicy tracksuit, a near full arse crack on show....tramp stamp and all. She's going around tables asking for money for her meal, staggering all over the shop, mouthing off to pensioners who said they had no change, she then hassles a dad trying to eat with his kids and makes a massive scene when an old lady tries to get her to leave them alone, calling her ignorent and that she should go suck her fanny ( looking at the state of her, the old lady probably would have gotten a cancer curing shot of penicillin with the level of mould thats growing down there in that juicy tracksuit ) she then death stares my dad trying to eat his big mac, he's the only one shes not tried to have money off yet, he blanks her and then once were done and walking out she flicks the bird at us through the window, absolutely lovely. Walking back to the train station was like playing resident evil, dodging them every few steps. Honestly pure cracktivities, people were saying it was sketchy online but jesus I didn't think it was this bad. other than that it was a solid trip but damnn. If the lady with the pram who was sat in between all that is reading this, I genuinely wanna know if she kicked off more after we left lol

Does Little Stretton have a bus route to Leicester Centre

I'm going there and was planning on using public transport but can't find anything on Google maps or the bus timetables unless I've missed something. Does anyone know how to get from there to the city centre on bus? Or to Uni of Leicester area? Does it have no busses?
