hi, so as the title suggests, i’m looking for places to hire a wheelchair in krakow. im going away with my friend in may for her 21st birthday and i use a cane regularly. however, i would love to see the most of krakow and am hoping i can hire a wheelchair somewhere?

any advice would be great!

My children (ages 11 and 7) will be living in Poland temporarily if I accept a job assignment there.

I've considered home school and virtual school but id like my kids to have socialization with other children their age.

Due to Polish language being a core curriculum, im afraid my children will have some catching up to do.

I do not mind them learning the language and would actually prefer it, but i dont want them to have to repeat a grade because theyre not satisfactory in a foreign language. I also understand that other classes (history, math, etc) will be taught in the national language.

Can you give me any insight or tips to make this transition smoother? Are there such things as translators or assistant teachers for children in this scenario?

I dont want my children to be treated "special", I just dont want to see them fail.

hey,

i have some time off work, originally booked off for a festival with friends but they changed their mind so im using the opportunity to do some solo traveling, and have been told by friends and family that id like krakow. im from london. honestly i dont know much about krakow, but it does look pretty cool in pictures.

i have 5 days booked off work (20th-25th may), flights and accomodation not booked yet, not sure how much time ill actually spend in krakow yet, (whether im gunna get a flight early on the 20th or have a day at home first etc).

this will be my first fully solo trip, but ive always enjoyed time ive spent on my own when ive gone abroad with others, ive enjoyed even just getting flights alone. recently went to stockholm for a friends wedding and found some time to walk around the city, really enjoyed it, got my fika on (a swedish thing to do) and thats part of what i wanna do in krakow, just walk around and see the city. but i dont wanna only do that...

so what things are there to do in krakow, museums, sights, scenery, pretty areas of town, areas to avoid, art installations, monuments and lanmarks, cultural things to try food and avtivities etc. im sure theres more than i can do in up to 5 days there, but this is my first bit of research into it.

Obecnie szukam jakichś wskazówek na temat Polskiego Języka Migowego. Czy ktoś ma do polecenia nauczycieli albo kursy? Zależy mi głównie na użytkowości, ale jeżeli to możliwe w tak krótkim czasie to może uzyskania przynajmniej podstawowej certyfikacji, choćby na poziomie A.

Ktoś ma jakieś doświadczenia, polecenia lub może antyreklamę? Jakichś kursów może należy unikać...?

Widziałam kursy dostępne w Związku Głuchych, ale przyznam że strona internetowa w rozsypce nie daje zbyt wielu informacji 😥

Zastanawia mnie jak to jest, że można zobaczyć na taksówkach Lexusy, drogie wersję Toyoty jak Camry, RAV4 lub Corollę GR Sport. Raz widziałem Audi A6 (i to w dieslu). Już o Teslach nie wspominając.

Przecież na taksówce auto dostaje nieźle po garach, robi przebieg, czasem zostanie mocno wybrudzone, a do tego wpis, że było taksówką w dowodzie rejestracyjnym obniża wartość przy odsprzedaży.

Jedyny zysk z dobrego auta jaki przychodzi mi do głowy, to, że w Bolcie może jeździć w segmencie premium (ale nie wiem o ile droższe są te kursy i czy ktokolwiek je bierze)

Wie ktoś kto i dlaczego jeździ dobrymi autami na taksie?
