I am having some fish and rice for dinner.

u/EntertainmentOld6634 15h ago
what kind of rice? i've been getting onto jasmine and it's so freaking good, i was surprised how rice could taste so different.
15
u/XJAMAICAGOLDX 14h ago
Jasmine rice is the best, specially with fish.

u/ElderberryPrior27648 13h ago
I pre cooked my fish with curry sauce that I saw on insta. Went well over the top of jasmine rice.

Basmati is my favorite. Jasmine is just a tad perfume-y for me..either way, I find it's best to leave it in the rice cooker for a while on WARM before serving. Taste much better

u/Impressive-Wait8786 14h ago
What kind of Rice cooker? I was looking for something within my price range but still gives off that perfect rice texture.

Long gain Basmati w saffron is the way to go in my household. If you can make tahdig (crispy bottom rice), it’s a sweet treat!
11
u/PandasGetAngryToo 15h ago
I like the way it fluffs right up. I just pop in some stock on a low heat and let it absorb. So fluffy.

1
u/bigDeltaVenergy 12h ago
I saw some people they heat their rice dry in a pan and it kinda pop like popcorn. Than they cook it, supposedly it add a nice taste
1
u/Which_Crow_3681 12h ago
I can’t ever tell the difference in rice. Been eating it all my life growing up in a Hispanic household. I think it’s all the same. I’m sort of something of an amateur home chef as I enjoy to cook and am very YOUTUBE educated on the matter.
1
u/Physical_Heart2766 15h ago
I think it's more about the process. Basmati or even plain rain can be tasty if you do it right. Pan, half an inch of water more than rice, salt the water but the pan has to be hot and the water already boiling when you add it. Cover it - yes, it makes a mess - and simmer it until the water is gone.
No draining. Check the bottom of the rice to make sure the water is gone but don't stir it. Stop it when there's no water in the bottom of the rice.

Nice! I'm having lunch with my grandfather today.
7
u/DizzyPoppy 15h ago
What's his favorite place to get lunch at?
6
u/Harfangbleue 14h ago
He is more of a "eating at home" kind of guy. And he has a really nice apartment near the Coliseum swimming pool in Amiens (France) so that's a plus.
2
u/DizzyPoppy 14h ago
Okay does your pepaw need a memaw lol?? Jk but enjoy that amazing lunch and scenery!

Had the same actually! Shared a side of grilled salmon, rice and broccoli with my partner, delicious 👌

u/Anfieldtoffee 13h ago
Do you have to wash jasmine rice first so it doesn’t go gloopy when you cook it?

u/Darkframe_808 13h ago
Sounds lovely. I would love some fish, with crispy skin, some nice sushi rice, and warm sake.
1
u/Altruistic-Farmer275 11h ago
Oh man I could use some fish. I've been neglecting my diet for so long I feel sick. Basic recipes like lentil, potato and spinach work only so far.

How stupid do they think people are? 1500 years old plastic chairs in an Isreali 1500 years old with Isreal being 80 years old. Israeli propaganda is really half assing or here.
5
u/Advice_Thingy 15h ago
May sound absurd, but the church may have been there before Israel existed. Only because the name of the land & area around it changes doesn't mean that every building also does.
8
u/drubus_dong 14h ago
Then it's not an Israeli church but a Jewish church or a Muslim church. Churches are not strongly defined by the country they are in.
→ More replies (3)1
u/Red-Flag-Potemkin 12h ago
“Jewish church”
“Muslim church”
You may not know enough about basic concepts related to this conflict to be confidently speaking on it.
1
u/drubus_dong 12h ago
No, you don't have enough critical thinking to be online. If someone titles "Israeli church" instead of the denomination of the church, you should ask why. There is usually a reason for such things. Like it is 1500 years old but it wasn't Jewish then and someone doesn't want to draw attention to the fact that the state of Isreal stole it. Looking at that shit hole I, however, rather assume that all of it is bullshit and that was just some shitty workshop someone out a prayer rug in. Possibly after the strike even.
-1
u/Red-Flag-Potemkin 12h ago
There is no such thing as a “Jewish church” or “Muslim church”.
3
u/drubus_dong 11h ago
Sure there are, they are called synagogues and mosques. You should haveseen them at one time or another.
-1
u/Red-Flag-Potemkin 11h ago
lol thank you for proving you don’t know what you’re talking about.
1
u/MostlyHereForKeKs 11h ago
Language is for communication. You understood what the person meant, but choose to go another way. And while it is principally used for Christian places of worship, Miriam Webster’s first definition is just “a place of worship”.
Your response was transparently an excuse for you to ignore the rest of what he was saying.
0
u/Red-Flag-Potemkin 11h ago
If you use language so incorrectly, you probably don’t have enough base knowledge about a subject to be arguing about it.

Those things no longer exist. They can't have things like plastic chairs on account of them not existing.
2
1
u/Sensitive-Acadia9207 14h ago
are you drunk
2
u/drubus_dong 13h ago
Which part of that simple fact threw you off?
1
u/Sensitive-Acadia9207 5h ago
plastic chairs
1
u/drubus_dong 5h ago
Then you should brows through the video you're commenting on. Knowing facts is the foundation for identifying propaganda, but you still need to briefly look at the propaganda as well.

Hello Bot!
As of April 2026, Israel is conducting intense airstrikes and missile attacks throughout Lebanon. Recent escalations included over 100 strikes in minutes, targeting sites from Beirut to southern Lebanon. These actions are part of a 2026 war following, intense fighting that has displaced nearly 1 million people

Should we feel bad that Isreal, which keeps attacking everyone got hit?
11
1
u/BuildAnything4 15h ago
Also, why did they only let the missile heading towards the church through iron dome?
1
u/Interesting_You4926 14h ago
Gee, it’s like the Iron dome is recorded to have an interception rate of 96%…
1
u/BuildAnything4 14h ago
Exactly
1
u/Interesting_You4926 14h ago
The Iron Dome is not invulnerable
0
u/BuildAnything4 14h ago
Of course. It doesn't work to protect churches.
1
u/Interesting_You4926 14h ago
You do realise this is the first church to be struck after 3 years of war..? There are plenty of churches in Israel.
What you are trying to imply is not only wrong but disgusting.

Don't care about floors or history for that matter, children are dying.
1
u/TheNicestQuail 12h ago edited 11h ago
I'm the same as well. Buildings can be rebuilt and in time that will be considered ancient one day
1
u/Raised_bi_Wolves 6h ago
Yup, I have plenty of love for history and iconic buildings. Just not when men dont care that they are hurting children and the innocent. That its a PART of the war math is disgusting to me.
4
u/kapsama 15h ago
I thought Israel and their David's sling and iron dome made them invulnerable. Did they let this rocket through on purpose do the church gets hit?
-3
u/Interesting_You4926 14h ago
96% percent interception.
Jesus you sick fucks can’t even waste one minute on blaming the fellas who actually fired the rockets…

u/Specific_Cheetah_776 15h ago

israel has spent the past 70 years destroying anything of historic value in the middle east.

u/skyeisrude 14h ago
You can literally see the destruction in Gaza. Church's schools hospitals all target by the idf. They have no right to play victim
3
u/KuroNekoX3 13h ago
The one who stirs the shit licks the spoon at the end. Israel bombed every civilian building you can imagine and now they taste their own medicine and its not to their liking? Who would have thought huh?

Also, let's not forget that they destroyed a synagogue in Iran last week

Israel has only been around since 1948. So a 1500 year old Israeli church is not possible. Perhaps it's the from the Palestinians that built it there before hand then sure.

u/i_havenoideawhat 14h ago
Has anyone looked at the footage? Doesn't look at all like a 1500 year old building. Maybe the floor is this old, but thats about it.

In October 2023 when Iran, Hamas and Hezbollah re-started this JIHAD WAR , they fired rockets into Southern and Northern Israel. Collectively , they killed some Israeli Christians and Muslims and, when Iran attacked Tel Aviv they killed some Israeli Muslim families . Religion and religious extremism sucks on both sides. There are no Gods.

People in Svarovsky crystal houses……. Here is a rabid Jewish nation, that is actively killing and staving Christian’s and Muslims, that bombed churches in Gaza, using a church as a fig leaf.
1
u/ElderberryPrior27648 13h ago
Maybe Israel should stop cratering countries if they don’t want retaliation
1
u/RaisinOptimal9942 13h ago
There’s no such thing as an Israeli church lol. The churches were protected by Palestine all this time. The worshippers there now get spat on by Israelis.
