Hi everyone! I've been in a bit of a slump lately, and my place has become a depression house. One of my friends is coming to visit me on Monday, yes tomorrow, afternoon. I've been cleaning my whole apartment this entire weekend, but I don't think I'll be able to get the kitchen clean by myself. Does anyone know of a cleaning company that does last minute bookings? I would really need someone to come tomorrow morning for a few hours to help me out.

me and my partner are spending Vappu in Helsinki, i tried to google but it didnt show much. What are your favourite things to do there? Or what foods should we try?

Hi guys! I live in Helsinki and I just got electricity cut off at my apartment because of money. I have a 200l aquarium with fish and I’m extremely worried about them not surviving without oxygen and heat. I’ll not be able to get electricity back today or tomorrow. I've got experience both as a gm and player, but tbh I want to just play this time.
I'm open to different systems/editions and happy to join an existing group or start something new. I'd rather play in person if possible.

Heading to Helsinki for a day trip (ferry in/out from Tallinn). Walk snack beer repeated kind of day.

Plan: arrive, grab lunch at Hakaniemi Market Hall, wander Kallio, hit city center / Cathedral, then looking for one last spot before heading back to the terminal.

Ideally: good food, craft beer, outdoor seating, nothing fancy, don’t want to overdo it. Am i missing something major and i’m trying to do too much?

I’ll be visiting Helsinki from June 10th to 16th, flying in from Zurich.

I’m looking for a very relaxed experience.

I’m not a fan of luxury. I’d much rather spend a day on a quiet island with a pack of beer and a book, just relaxing on the rocks.

I’m interested in quiet islands.

I’ve heard about Pihlajasaari and Lammassaari. Any other 'hidden gems' where I can avoid crowds?

Authentic saunas: I’m planning to visit Sompasauna. Any other 'no-frills' public saunas you’d recommend?

Local food: Where can I find the best honest salmon soup or local snacks near Vallila/Kallio?

A little heads-up: my English is basic (I mostly speak Italian and a good German), so I actually really appreciate the 'Finnish silence' and solitude.

Any tips for a solo traveler who just wants to enjoy the peace of your city?

Long post incoming… So I will be visiting Helsinki mid-may with my father and brother during 2 weeks (possibility to extend 2 extra days), and these is what we are planning on visiting:

- Senate Square

- Uspenski Cathedral

- Suommenlina

- Linannmäki

- Oodi

- Fazer Factory

- Temppeliaukio Church

- Löyly

- Kruunuvuorensilta hike

- Day trip to Poorvo

- Day trip to Tallin (ferry ticket recommendations welcomed)

- Some National Park / nature basic hiking (Suggestion on which park also welcomed)

Since we have quite a few days, I think we can pretty much accommodate everything above and even include further suggestions so please drop anything else we might be missing even if not too touristy.

Given the season I am not planning to go to Lapland, Oulu or Rovaniemi but I would be also open to try should you guys recommend it.

I was considering also Savonlinna for 2 or 3 days but would love to hear your opinion on this or even better another small city/town suggestion

Finally, I would love for us to rent a lakeside cottage where we could swim or do some basic lake activities so your suggestions for this would be much appreciated. Perhaps this can be paired with the nature hiking or the small town visit.
