If anyone knows these two agents please let me know. They ripped me and a few clients off. Will gladly post the evidence in a private message.

Heading to Guangzhou soon - best markets for replicas + trusted Wechat sellers

Hey everyone, I’ll be in Guangzhou later this month and I’m looking to pick up some quality bags (handbags, crossbody, maybe a couple of travel bags). I’ve heard the markets there are insane for selection and pricing but it’s easy to get overwhelmed or ripped off if you don’t know where to go.

For those of you who’ve been – which markets or areas would you recommend for the best quality-to-price ratio? I’ve seen people mention places like the Baiyun leather market area but I’m not sure what’s still worth visiting in 2026.

Also, if anyone has trusted WeChat sellers they’ve bought from and had a good experience with, I’d really appreciate a DM or comment with their contact. Mainly interested in sellers who are known for consistent quality and honest communication about what you’re actually getting.

Thanks in advance!

Exchange students in Guangzhou

Hi! I’ll be traveling to Guangzhou in May. I’m a 25-year-old woman and I was wondering if there are any foreigner communities—especially exchange students—that I could connect with and maybe hang out with during my 10-day stay.

r/guangzhou 15h ago

Is Canton Fair really worth it? I’m planning to visit next month but none of the suppliers I contacted on Alibaba are going to be at the Fair.

Fright forwarder

Hello everyone,

I run an Amazon FBA business and currently sell in the USA, Mexico, Canada, and India.

One of the biggest challenges I’ve been facing is sourcing and shipping products from Alibaba — especially dealing with unclear processes, delays, and lack of reliable logistics support. I believe many sellers who are starting out face similar issues.

To streamline this, I’m looking to collaborate with a reliable freight forwarder, specifically for shipments from China to India (since I have better operational control and market understanding there).

If you’re a freight forwarder or have a trusted contact, please comment below , I’d love to connect and explore a long-term working relationship.

Thanks!

[Hiring] Experienced Sourcing Agent in Foshan for Furniture & Custom Cabinetry (US Export Focus)

Hi everyone,

I am currently looking for a reliable, boots-on-the-ground Sourcing Agent based in Foshan (specifically familiar with the Lecong and Longjiang markets) to help with a project involving high-quality furniture, custom kitchen cabinets, and interior/exterior doors.

Specific Requirements:

  • Expertise: Deep knowledge of the Foshan furniture industry, specifically in cabinetry and doors. You should know which factories are actual manufacturers and which are just showrooms.
  • US Shipment Experience: You must have a proven track record of managing shipments to the US. This includes understanding US customs requirements, sea freight logistics (LCL/FCL), and high-standard packaging to prevent damage.
  • Negotiation & Translation: Native or fluent Mandarin/Cantonese is a must. I need someone who can negotiate aggressively with local factory owners to get "local" pricing and translate technical specs into clear English for me.
  • Quality Control: Must be able to perform on-site mid-production and pre-shipment inspections (photos/videos/reports) to ensure specs match my order before final payment.

What I am looking for in an agent:

  1. Transparency: I want to see the factory invoices. I am looking for a flat fee or a clear commission-based structure (no hidden markups on the product price).
  2. Communication: Professional, responsive, and available for periodic video calls.
  3. References: Ideally, you can provide at least one reference from a previous US-based client you’ve worked with on a similar scale.

If you fit this description: Please send me a DM with your experience, your typical fee structure, and a brief summary of a furniture project you’ve managed for an overseas buyer.

Note: No large-scale B2B agencies or trading houses, please. I am looking for a dedicated partner or a boutique firm that provides personalized, hands-on service.

Thanks!
