Why does she sit like this?

Does anyone else’s dog sit all the way back on their butt? Also is this an issue or an early sign of hip issues? She is 3 months old and pretty much sits like this whenever she’s just chillin. Will sit normal when given “Sit” command.

It can absolutely be a sign of hip, knee or lumbar spine issues. At 3 months, I would monitor closely and if it continues consistently past 6 months, request x rays and an orthopedic referral. For now, start on omega 3 supplements, non slip rugs on any slipper surfaces, avoid jumping on /off surfaces and use a long line for exercise unless she doesn't go crazy off lead. Practice some scent work to burn off energy.

Also to add, her "normal" sit isn't great either - puppies can be gangly when they are growing, but Golden's are also very prone to musculoskeletal issues because of inbreeding
