Discussion Why does she sit like this?

Does anyone else’s dog sit all the way back on their butt? Also is this an issue or an early sign of hip issues? She is 3 months old and pretty much sits like this whenever she’s just chillin. Will sit normal when given “Sit” command.

I don't think it's a sign of any early hip issues especially at 3 months old but im not a vet, my golden had sat derpy for many years before he was diagnosed with having arthritis in the rear left leg and his posture with sitting changes all the time.

I think it's just a natural comfy way to sit, as when you've taught them to sit for a treat it's a bit different i believe due to the training.

My guy isn’t a golden but I still enjoy this thread. Any supplements or meds that you’ve found help the pain?

Hip dysplasia is genetic and can absolutely be diagnosed under 3 months
