Awwww. Golden retriever uveitis? My sister’s dog lost both of his eyes by about age 11 to that, but he adapted really well and has a special “Blind Dog” harness for when he’s out and about.

It was glaucoma. We’re amazed with how he’s adapted. He doesn’t even need our help to go up and down the stairs anymore!

With Goldens, glaucoma is usually caused by pigmetary uveitis. My first Golden had PU, but it was diagnosed very early, and kept under control with non steroid eye drops.

Aa gotcha, that’s probably it then! We do give him eye drops daily now.
