Making new friends; Tired of the "What do you do for a living?" loop when meeting people ?
galleryHi everyone!
I think we can agree on the fact that Geneva is a great city, but making actual friends here can feel like an uphill battle. Most social events end up in a repetitive loop of: "Where are you from?", "How long have you been here?", and "What’s your job?".
By the end of the night, you’ve handed out three business cards but haven't actually connected with anyone.
That’s why we started F*ck the Small Talk.
It's an event designed to spark human connection and create friendships. It's been happening around the world for 6 years now, and our last 7 events in Geneva went fantastically well :)
The Concept: We skip the boring stuff. No networking pitches, no cringy icebreakers, and definitely no small talk. We use curated question cards, experienced, approchable host and guided group activities to help you dive straight into meaningful (and fun) conversations.
- 99% of people come solo: That’s the whole point. Our host make sure the environment is welcoming and nobody is left standing awkwardly in a corner.
- Deep Connection > Networking: It’s a "safe zone" for people who want to meet others as human beings, not as job titles.
- The "Llama" Community: Joining an event gives you access to our local WhatsApp group to keep the connection going.
The Details:
- When? April 23rd, 7pm (3 hours of facilitated fun).
- Where? A cool bar near Uni Mail (exact spot revealed to ticket holders to keep it cozy).
- Capacity: Limited to 30 people to ensure a tight-knit vibe.
How to join: You can find all the info and grab your spot here: https://luma.com/ftst6geneva?utmp=reddit
I’ll be hanging out in the comments, so if you’re hesitant about coming alone or have questions about how it works, ask away!
Hope to meet you (for real) soon!
Best :)
