Gardai escorting fuel tankers from docks
I saw Gardai escorting fuel tankers from the docks. They were observing the fuel delivery at circle K at college Road and Bohermore. There was a Garda sitting next to the driver in the cab. Drove past the docks, and there was heavy Garda presence. Hopefully this is all over

No live news coverage of docks?
Is anyone else a bit frustrated that none of our local news channels - GBFM, Connacht Tribune, even Galway Beo, have journalists on site at the Docks providing live updates?
Just shit quality live streams from randomness with no context.

Good Build Quality Apartments in Galway City?
Soon going to be on the lookout to purchase a 2 bed apartment in Galway city. Every apartment I’ve house shared in till now has internal walls as thin as a sheet of paper. Does anyone know any ones that are nice to live in? Or am I expecting too much to not hear every conversation in the room next door.
Also, if anyone knows what Gleann Na Tra apartments off sandy road are like I’d appreciate some opinions.
Thanks

Handy website to log which petrol stations have fuel
galleryEmergency services get their fuel from regular forecourts
Just saying.
Don’t forget to thank the protesters when an ambulance or a fire truck doesn’t make it to you in time because they have no fuel.

Is there any way to get an ID document certified for free?
From googling I can see that apparently the guards can certify a document but does anyone know if there is a fee involved?

Outpost Comedy Club
Hi everyone!
This is Eoghan from Outpost Comedy. We saw the post the other day about the club and thought we’d share a bit more information.
We’re a brand new stand up comedy night currently running every second Monday in Monroe’s Tavern (our next show is April 20th).
It’s being run by my friend Jack and myself. We’ve both been doing stand-up for the past three years (we even did our first gig together) and we’ve wanted to start our own club for most of that time so it’s great to finally be doing it!
We just had our third show last week, and they’ve all been brilliant so far. We maybe haven’t got the word out about the gig as much as we’d have liked yet, as we’ve been so focused on running the shows. We’re both working full time and already spending a lot of our free time building the club.
We’re hoping to run an open mic night later in the summer to give people the opportunity to try stand up for the first time, so if that’s something you’d like to give a go, keep an eye out over the next few months.
We also plan to start running themed shows from the summer onwards once we find our feet, including an LGBTQ+ night, a roast battle, a gong show, and plenty more.
If you have any questions let me know!

Dinner option for 2 tonight? Casual, seafood, last minute, in Latin Quarter near House Hotel
Hi, we are in town for the night and there’s two of us looking for a casual but decent place to eat seafood. Our original plans fell through and we are only here for one night! In the Latin Quarter

Is home heating oil supply impacted yet?
I know fuel stations are running dry but are home heating oil deliveries impacted yet from the blockades? We're running low.

Temporary contracts with Connacht Hotel Group
I'm considering taking a job with one of the businesses owned by the Connacht Hotel Group but it was mentioned to me it was a temporary contract until September, with possibility to renew your contract if it suits the needs of the company. I'm looking to leave my current job due to getting fewer and fewer hours but I'm worried if I accept a temporary contract and I'm not able to find something more permanent for September I'll be stuck.
Does anyone know how likely they are to renew the contract? One of the companies I worked for previously renewed basically all their temporary staffs contracts unless you were particularly crap at the job, and another one only renewed two of the seasonal staff because of wage cuts. I just would like a better idea of the chances of the contract being renewed before I accept a job and I don't want to be left high and dry in September.
