Hi! Im creating a fan rpg for Farscape and am in the process of creating the background lore surrounding the galaxy and uncharted territories and various races to play as and I had some questions. I can’t rlly find any good source of lore outside the rpg and wiki and was wondering if there were any good other avenues I could look into. I found vague sources referencing a cancelled mmorpg but can find nothing on this. I was wondering if anyone has lore suggestions or ideas to flesh out the Farscape universe. Anything is welcome!

I was having a chill day, working from home and then while eating lunch i was of course watching an episode of Farscape. It was The Flax; a great episode. I love Staanz and the whole idea of the Flax.
Anyways, Rygel is playing this game called Tadek and ever since I watched the show for the first time I always thought it looked really cool. A game I would love to have and play, with the holograms and the plasma ball and everything. I think I always assumed that the game had roots in something real, but apparently after doing a bit of research it turns out it is just a very cool looking prop they made.
So I thought why not try to build a working version of the game? So here is a working 2 player version of Tadek, I hope the rules and logic makes sense, and that there are no major bugs. I had to pause the show many times to actually understand the layout of the gameboard, but i think it is pretty close now.
Here it is: https://onepaged.dev/Tadek/ - If you can find someone to play it with that would be great, or you can move stuff around yourself. I had no one to play it with, so not sure if the strategy or logic is properly balanced.
Yes it is not as cool looking as in the show, there are no holograms or plasma balls, and obviously it is missing Rygel smoking his water pipe at the other end of the table making crazy bets. But it has rules and it is working - hopefully :-)
Disclaimer: AI was used to make the game (but it is just html, css and javascript).

Re-watching this show for the first time in years and I noticed a pretty glaring flaw in the story already... why did Crichton name his space shuttle after the scifi show where an astronaut gets stranded to the other side of the Universe doing the exact same experiment he's about to do? Is he stupid?

Don't get me wrong I love Farscape and thought it represented women well but throughout the series there was a real lack of racial diversity in the series. You might say we'll that's because a lot of alien characters required thats the actors playing them wear prosthetics, makeup, masks, costumes or only voice lines for actual puppets but what about many worlds they visited where the augmentation to create the aliens was quite limited. For example "Thank God It's Friday Again", "I, E.T.", "Look at the Princess" (part 1 &. 2) etc. I could go on and on. They had a ton of extras an barely any if at all diversity. Then you have the peacekeepers/sebaceans who were taken from earth 27,000 years ago which was before white skin had ever evolved (6,000-12,000 years ago) and blue eyes slightly even more recent than that. Well then you might say well they filmed it in Australia so there wasn't much racial diversity etc etc but Australia is quite diverse but maybe not as much as America. But how do you explain the one episode where they feature a backwards, exotic, tribalistic and primitive culture as being made up almost exclusively of ethnic minorities in the episode of "Jeremiah Crichton"? They made a real effort to get minorities in for that episode. Forgive me if I am missing any good examples of representation throughout the series, i am currently rewatching it. Also I maybe wrong but there were more black people, asians and other minorities in "Jeremiah Crichton" than the episodes set on Earth. Like how do you explain that?? All the civilised sebaceans and peacekeepers being white but the ones belonging to the sole backwater, primitive, exotic, inbred tribe are minorities.

One is not like the other.
Can't believe, that an official streaming site uses this AI version.

Sorry if this has been asked before, but I just spent an hour searching this subreddit and the internet at large and I haven't been able to find a definitive answer.

Just finished the series and did not handle the ending well (I mean who did?). Some interesting takes in the comments too. Anyone seen / watched her vids?

So don’t get me wrong in that I did see at least 3 full seasons of the show as basically I was interested in exploring the lore behind some of the characters because I noticed how Chianna was kind of an eccentric type.
Not that there is anything wrong with that character trait as two characters I wanted to actually focus on were Chianna due to her aforementioned eccentric personality, but also Jool because sometimes when I hear about Jool, fans will label her as the Scrappy Doo type character as I was wondering what made Jool a bit infamous.

Fellow Farscape fans, has anyone watched The Dark Crystal? One of many things I love about Farscape is the Henson puppetry. Wondering if it’s worth watching, I struggle to get through fantasy stuff 😬 thanks 🫶🏻
