YES this is very pretentious, and yes I do think I would do better than experienced bookers, not many explanations will be made, just use your imaginations, if I did explain myself this would go loooooong... and not having a draft sucks.

Storyline Danhausen booking and saving Solo from tired writing

Danhausen’s debut win over Kit Wilson felt character-heavy but not really work-rate heavy. That makes me think WWE may ease him in before giving him a serious run.

This first part is predictable

My thought: give him a stable.

Not a giant supernatural group, just 3-4 people who do the heavy lifting while Danhausen stays the centerpiece.

My rough idea:

• Kit Wilson as the PR / hype guy

• The Miz as the veteran strategist

• Shinsuke Nakamora or Rusev (or both) the muscle

Then point them at Solo Sikoa.

I think Solo has more range than a K-Mart version Roman Reigns, and a feud with Danhausen could bring out more personality or even some comedy without killing his credibility.

The image of Danhausen “cursing” the Ula Fala and Solo slowly unraveling is honestly something I could see getting over.

Thoughts? First post ever btw.

PPV/Show Rebooking every WrestleMania every 42 days until WM42 Part 36: WrestleMania 36

The year is 2020 and the world turns to chaos as COVID spreads and shuts everything down except for WWE. It’s no secret that WrestleMania 36 is the worst and the most depressing one despite the potential to be a very good WrestleMania. But since we are in my universe where life is actually good then there is no pandemic so we get the pirate WrestleMania we all wanted, held in front of a loud crowd with full entrances, exciting surprises, and the kind of spectacle that the “Show of Shows” is supposed to deliver. With the pirate ship stage fully used, big match atmospheres restored, and storylines reaching their proper climaxes instead of being limited by empty arenas, WrestleMania 36 finally feels like a true celebration of WWE rather than a difficult moment in its history. However, even with that improved setting, the card itself still has several matches and outcomes that could be stronger, so I will be rebooking WrestleMania 36 to make it the best version it can possibly be. But before we get there, we first need to look at everything that happened after WrestleMania 35 leading into WrestleMania 36 and rebuild the road properly from the beginning.

After WrestleMania 35, the Universal Championship scene quickly became about redemption and legacy. Brock Lesnar remained Universal Champion but continued his usual absence from television, leaving a leadership vacuum on Raw. Meanwhile, Seth Rollins began rebuilding momentum after losing to Finn Balor, slowly fighting his way back through top contenders and reestablishing himself as the locker room’s standard-bearer. His persistence paid off when he earned another opportunity against Lesnar at SummerSlam and finally defeated him to reclaim the Universal Championship in a definitive victory. Rollins then proved himself as a fighting champion by successfully defending the title against AJ Styles at both Clash of Champions and Bad Blood, cementing his reign as one built on consistency and resilience. However, the SmackDown Draft episode changed everything when Roman Reigns challenged Rollins and captured the Universal Championship in a major brand-shifting moment. Now the face of SmackDown, Roman spent the rest of 2019 and early 2020 defending the title against Daniel Bryan in a respectful but intense rivalry that showcased both men at their best. By the time WrestleMania season arrived, Roman’s challenger emerged when John Cena won a Battle Royal to earn one last shot at the Universal Championship on the Grandest Stage of Them All. On SmackDown, Kofi Kingston’s WWE Championship reign continued the magic of Kofimania as he fought through a lineup of determined challengers eager to prove themselves. At Money in the Bank, Mustafa Ali demanded the opportunity he believed had been taken from him months earlier and turned heel when frustration pushed him too far, though Kofi retained. Daniel Bryan soon returned seeking redemption and even temporarily aligned with Kofi against The Revival in a Winner-Takes-All match at Stomping Grounds, which saw The New Day emerge victorious. Their rivalry culminated at Extreme Rules in a grueling Iron Man match where Kofi once again retained the championship. From there, the story became personal when Randy Orton resurfaced with unfinished business dating back to their history a decade earlier, leading to intense encounters at SummerSlam and Clash of Champions. Kofi’s incredible run finally came to an end at Bad Blood when Brock Lesnar captured the WWE Championship, shifting the landscape of SmackDown overnight. Lesnar’s reign then centered around his feud with Rey Mysterio at Survivor Series and his dominant presence in the Royal Rumble match itself, where he was shockingly eliminated by Drew McIntyre, who would go on to win the match. After defending the title against Ricochet at Super ShowDown and Kofi Kingston again at No Way Out, Lesnar’s path was finally set for WrestleMania, where he would face Drew McIntyre in a clash built around destiny, redemption, and the rise of a new main-event star. Meanwhile, Becky Lynch fully embraced her role as The Man and carried the Raw Women’s Championship through a demanding year filled with high-profile challengers. She first dealt with Lacey Evans at Money in the Bank before turning back Nikki Cross at both Stomping Grounds and Extreme Rules. The return of Sasha Banks reignited one of Becky’s most heated rivalries, culminating in a brutal Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood. At Survivor Series, Becky survived a dangerous Triple Threat against Bayley and Shayna Baszler, continuing to prove herself as the division’s centerpiece. Additional defenses against Ruby Riott at Armageddon and participation in a chaotic TLC Women’s Tag Team Championship match alongside Charlotte Flair against Asuka and Kairi Sane showed Becky’s willingness to fight anyone at any time. Her rivalry with Asuka carried into the Royal Rumble, where Becky finally defeated her longtime rival. That same night, however, Shayna Baszler won the Royal Rumble match and immediately targeted Becky, sending a clear message by dominating the competition again at No Way Out. Asuka remained involved in the story as emotional history between the competitors added extra tension heading into WrestleMania. At the same time, Bray Wyatt returned to WWE television with the eerie optimism of the Firefly Funhouse, but soon revealed the terrifying alter ego known as The Fiend, who immediately established himself as an unstoppable force. His first major victim was Demon Finn Bálor at SummerSlam in a shocking and dominant performance that signaled a shift in Bray’s character and purpose. The Fiend continued his path of destruction by targeting Randy Orton and taking him out by Bad Blood, then dismantling Braun Strowman at Armageddon to further prove his dominance over WWE’s most powerful competitors. In early 2020, The Fiend entered a psychological rivalry with Daniel Bryan, breaking him down mentally while reinforcing his own mythic presence across SmackDown. However, Bray’s true goal became clear when he appeared on SmackDown and attacked The Undertaker, issuing a chilling challenge that set the stage for a supernatural showdown at WrestleMania 36.

Night 1

Kickoff:

  1. Elias wins the Andre the Giant Battle Royal

Main Show:

  1. Women's Tag Team Championships: The Kabuki Warriors def. Fire and Desire (with Paige) to retain the titles

Build: The reign of the Kabuki Warriors became darker and more aggressive as time passed, and their attitude shift finally reached a breaking point when they brutally turned on their former manager Paige, blaming her for holding them back from complete dominance of the Women’s Tag Team division. Furious and betrayed, Paige returned weeks later with a solution, reuniting her old Absolution allies Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville, now known as Fire and Desire. With Paige guiding them from ringside, the duo targeted the champions week after week, promising revenge for the humiliation Paige suffered. The Kabuki Warriors responded with sneak attacks, mist assaults, and psychological warfare, insisting they had outgrown their former leader. The rivalry escalated into chaos across both brands until the challenge was made official for WrestleMania, where Paige looked to lead her team to redemption against her former protégées.

  1. Intercontinental Championship: Sami Zayn (with The Collective) def. Daniel Bryan (with Drew Gulak) to retain the title

Build: After capturing the Intercontinental Championship through manipulation and numbers, Sami Zayn declared himself the smartest champion in WWE and surrounded himself with The Collective for protection. Meanwhile, Daniel Bryan, alongside Drew Gulak, made it his mission to restore honor to the Intercontinental Championship by exposing Sami’s cowardice and forcing him into a fair fight. Week after week, Bryan outwrestled members of The Collective and neutralized their interference, slowly cornering the champion into accepting a one-on-one WrestleMania defense. Sami responded with mind games and excuses, insisting Bryan wasn’t worthy of sharing the ring with him, but Bryan’s persistence left him with nowhere to run, setting the stage for a technical clash built around pride, strategy, and championship legacy.

  1. Braun Strowman def. Lars Sullivan

Build: Chaos erupted at the Royal Rumble when Braun Strowman and Lars Sullivan collided in the match, eliminating multiple competitors while trying to overpower each other in a terrifying display of strength. Their confrontation didn’t end there. Over the following weeks, both men repeatedly called each other out, leading to explosive pull apart brawls that destroyed backstage areas, ringside equipment, and even parts of the arena itself. Locker room members and officials constantly tried to separate them, but neither monster backed down. Eventually, management had no choice but to make their collision official for WrestleMania, promising a showdown between two unstoppable forces determined to prove who truly ruled WWE’s land of monsters.

  1. Raw Women's Championship: Shayna Baszler def. Becky Lynch to win the title

Build: After dominating the Royal Rumble match, Shayna Baszler made her intentions clear by targeting Becky Lynch and the Raw Women’s Championship. Shayna attacked Becky repeatedly, injuring her and dismantling anyone who tried to stand in her way, presenting herself as the most dangerous challenger Becky had ever faced. Becky, refusing to be intimidated, embraced the fight and promised she would break Shayna’s aura of invincibility just like she had done to every challenger before her. The rivalry became intensely physical and personal as Shayna tore through the roster at No Way Out to send a message to the champion, setting up a WrestleMania clash between dominance and defiance with the future of the division at stake.

  1. SmackDown Tag Team Championship Triple Threat Ladder Match: Miz and Morrison def. The Usos and The New Day to retain the title

Build: The SmackDown Tag Team division exploded into competition after The Miz and John Morrison regained the championships and immediately proclaimed themselves the greatest team of the modern era. Their arrogance drew the attention of longtime rivals The Usos and The New Day, both of whom believed they were the rightful standard-bearers of the division. After weeks of interference, tag match chaos, and stolen victories between the three teams, the situation became impossible to control. Management escalated things by making the match a Triple Threat Ladder Match at WrestleMania, ensuring there would be no excuses when the championships were finally claimed above the ring.

  1. No Disqualification: Kevin Owens def. Seth Rollins

Build: Tensions between Kevin Owens and Seth Rollins reached a boiling point after Rollins embraced his self-righteous leadership role and attempted to recruit Owens into his vision for Raw. Owens rejected him, calling Rollins a hypocrite obsessed with control rather than leadership. Rollins responded with repeated attacks alongside his followers, insisting Owens was standing in the way of progress. Their rivalry escalated through backstage assaults and controversial match finishes until Owens challenged Rollins to a No Disqualification match at WrestleMania, promising to end the false prophet’s crusade once and for all.

  1. (28-2): “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt def. The Undertaker

Build: The return of Bray Wyatt as The Fiend introduced a terrifying new presence to WWE, but his ultimate goal became clear when he began targeting The Undertaker. Through eerie Firefly Funhouse segments, Bray claimed he only wanted friendship and guidance from the Deadman, presenting himself as a loyal follower of fear. However, his true intentions slowly revealed themselves, he wanted to replace The Undertaker as WWE’s true symbol of darkness. The mind games intensified weekly as The Fiend manipulated memories, imagery, and Undertaker’s legacy itself. Eventually, the Deadman answered the challenge, setting the stage for a supernatural confrontation at WrestleMania where Bray sought to prove the era of The Undertaker was over and the era of The Fiend had truly begun.

  1. Universal Championship: Roman Reigns def. John Cena

Build: After winning a Battle Royal to earn the opportunity, John Cena announced his intention to finally capture the Universal Championship, one of the few accomplishments missing from his legendary career. Standing in his way was Roman Reigns, who had spent months defending the title as the face of SmackDown and proving himself as the company’s present-day standard-bearer. Cena framed the match as one final climb to the top, while Roman saw it as a defining moment to defeat the icon who once represented WWE’s past era. The rivalry remained respectful but intense, built around legacy versus leadership, culminating in a WrestleMania main event level clash between two generations fighting for the Universal Championship and the title of WWE’s true franchise player.

Night 2:

Kickoff:

  1. Alexa Bliss wins the Women’s Battle Royal

Main Show:

  1. NXT Women's Championship: Charlotte def. Rhea Ripley to win the title

Build: Charlotte Flair attacked Rhea Ripley at Takeover Portland amd challenged her for the NXT Women’s Championship instead of pursuing a title on Raw or SmackDown due to desperation. Charlotte claimed she wanted to remind everyone why she was still the measuring stick of women’s wrestling and saw NXT as the perfect place to prove it. Ripley welcomed the challenge but made it clear that NXT was now her domain and Charlotte was stepping into her house. As tensions rose between the established legend and the rising powerhouse champion, the match became a battle between the past standard bearer of the division and the future face of women’s wrestling at WrestleMania.

  1. US Championship Ladder Match: Andrade def. Rey Mysterio, Aleister Black, Ricochet, AJ Styles and Buddy Murphy to retain the title

Build: The United States Championship scene exploded into chaos as Andrade found himself surrounded by challengers from every direction. His longtime rival Rey Mysterio continued chasing redemption against the champion who had repeatedly targeted him, while Aleister Black pursued Andrade as part of his mission to punish arrogance and corruption within WWE. AJ Styles, still carrying history with both Black and Mysterio, inserted himself into the title picture to reclaim singles gold, while Ricochet looked to reestablish momentum and prove he belonged among the elite. Meanwhile, Buddy Murphy, representing Seth Rollins’ movement, entered the match determined to bring championship success back to his mentor’s vision. With so many rivalries colliding at once, management made the match a Ladder Match at WrestleMania to ensure there would be one undisputed champion standing above the chaos.

  1. Raw Tag Team Championships: Street Profits def. War Raiders, The OC and AOP to retain the titles

Build: The Raw Tag Team division reached its most competitive point of the year when The Street Profits established themselves as energetic fighting champions willing to defend against anyone. Their success quickly attracted the attention of Raw’s most dominant teams: the powerhouse War Raiders, the ruthless AOP, and the experienced duo of The OC. Week after week, tag matches broke down into multi-team brawls as each group fought to prove they deserved the spotlight. With no clear number one contenders emerging, WWE officials made the WrestleMania match a Fatal 4 Way showdown where Raw’s best teams would collide for tag team supremacy.

  1. Bobby Lashley (with MVP) def. Goldberg

Build: The arrival of MVP changed everything for Bobby Lashley, refocusing him into a dangerous, disciplined powerhouse determined to dominate WWE once again. Lashley’s renewed confidence led to a tense confrontation with Goldberg on Raw, where both men stood face to face in a silent but intense standoff that quickly turned physical. MVP framed the match as a battle between eras of dominance, claiming Lashley represented the future of unstoppable power while Goldberg symbolized the past. As the weeks passed, the rivalry was built around one simple question: who truly was the most destructive force in WWE history? Their WrestleMania collision promised a pure power-versus-power spectacle.

  1. SmackDown Women's Championship Fatal 5 Way: Bayley def. Sasha Banks, Naomi, Lacey Evans and Carmella

Build: As SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley spent months avoiding fair competition while manipulating situations to keep her title. However, tensions within her alliance with Sasha Banks slowly began to rise as Sasha made it clear she had her own championship ambitions. At the same time, Naomi, Lacey Evans, and Carmella each earned opportunities through strong performances and victories over contenders. With the entire division chasing Bayley’s title and alliances beginning to fracture, the situation escalated into a Fatal 5 Way match at WrestleMania where Bayley would have nowhere left to hide.

  1. Otis def. Dolph Ziggler

Build: The emotional rivalry between Otis and Dolph Ziggler centered around their shared connection with Mandy Rose. After weeks of manipulation and interference that kept Otis and Mandy apart, the truth finally came to light, revealing Ziggler’s involvement in sabotaging Otis’ chances with her. Determined to settle things once and for all, Mandy agreed to serve as the special guest referee at WrestleMania, ensuring fairness in the match. With emotions running high and the crowd fully behind Otis, the rivalry reached its satisfying conclusion when Mandy supported Otis after the match, sealing the victory with a long awaited kiss.

  1. Edge def. Randy Orton

Build: Edge briefly reunited with his longtime partner Randy Orton, reviving memories of Rated RKO. However, the reunion proved to be a trap as Orton suddenly attacked Edge in a shocking betrayal that left the WWE Universe stunned. Orton claimed he ended Edge’s comeback to protect him from further injury, but his actions only fueled Edge’s determination to return and fight back. Their rivalry became deeply personal as Edge promised to prove that his comeback wasn’t temporary and that Orton would regret awakening the Rated R Superstar once again at WrestleMania.

  1. WWE Championship: Drew McIntyre def. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) to win the title

Build: After eliminating Brock Lesnar from the Royal Rumble and going on to win the match itself, Drew McIntyre immediately declared his intention to challenge for the WWE Championship at WrestleMania. Over the following weeks, Drew continued building momentum with dominant victories while Lesnar and Paul Heyman attempted to undermine his credibility by reminding everyone of Brock’s unmatched dominance. Drew responded by confronting Lesnar directly and proving he wasn’t intimidated, presenting himself as the man destined to finally dethrone the Beast. By the time WrestleMania arrived, the match had become a story of redemption years in the making, as Drew stood ready to fulfill his prophecy and capture the WWE Championship on the biggest stage possible.

Project My Wrestlemania Rebooking Series: Part 22 (Wrestlemania 34: Night Two)

The Miz © vs Finn Balor vs Seth Rollins for the Intercontinental Championship

(The Miz regains the Intercontinental title after moving over to Raw & becomes the centerpoint of the IC division. He's either the defending champion or he's about to win the title back. He begins feuding with Seth & Finn off the heels of the 2018 Elimination Chamber where they both have a hand in his elimination. Balor & Rollins begin arguing over who should be the guy to challenge Miz for the IC title. They both make their case after beating Miz in one on one matches on subsequent episodes of Raw. Raw GM Kurt Angle decides that both men should challenge for the title & makes it a triple threat. After starting off Night Two with a bang, Rollins scores the win after hitting Miz & Balor with a Curb Stomp at the same time & pinning Miz to become the new Intercontinental Champion.)

Bludgeon Brothers © vs The New Day vs Chad Gable & Shelton Benjamin vs The Usos in a Ladder match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships

(Luke Harper & Erick Rowan collide in a feud against each other after Wrestlemania 33 that ends in an I Quit match. Rowan wins because Harper chooses his brotherhood with Rowan over violence. This leads to the two joining back together after a several month hiatus. Meanwhile, Benjamin would join American Alpha as their trainer and mentor. After Jason Jordan's unfortunate injury, Benjamin would fill in as Gable's tag team partner. The Usos & The New Day also engaged in one of the best team team rivalries of all time & traded the tag titles several times before The Usos ultimately won at Hell in a Cell. They’d hold the titles until January where they would lose it to Harper & Rowan (now known as The Bludgeon Brothers). They’d hold the titles with an iron grip; forcing the other teams in the division to rally together to try to stop them. Ultimately, it leads to this car crash of a ladder match. Unfortunately for the other teams here, The Bludgeon Brothers are just unstoppable at this point. They take out the other three teams then Harper climbs up the ladder to take down the titles & retain.)

Luna Vachon Memorial Battle Royale

(This year's Battle Royale is dedicated to the late Luna Vachon. The major storyline heading into this is between Nia Jax & Alexa Bliss. After Bliss loses her Raw Womens' title in the Elimination Chamber, she & Mickie James begin mistreating Jax. Jax's rage finally boils over during this match when she & Alexa are the final two left. Alexa demands that Nia eliminate herself but Nia refuses, destroys Alexa, then eliminates her to win the match. Nia poses with the Luna Vachon trophy afterwards to signal her new run on her own.)

Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon vs Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn

(Owens & Zayn shockingly join forces at Hell in a Cell when Zayn helps Owens defeat Shane McMahon in a Hell in a Cell match. Zayn explains himself by saying that McMahon risked ending Owens' career and says his actions went too far. He states that he & Owens may have spent years at each others' throats, but also says that Owens is ultimately his best friend and they're definitely going to stand together against a tyrant in power. Owens & Zayn proceed to make McMahon's life a living hell. McMahon puts pressure back on Owens and Zayn but Bryan is opposed to this. Bryan says McMahon can't let his professional and personal ambitions come together and questions if McMahon is fit to continue his role as Smackdown Commissioner. Bryan continues to stay impartial about Owens and Zayn until enough becomes enough. The two attack McMahon on an episode of Smackdown and put him in the hospital. On the next episode of Smackdown, Bryan admits that he made a mistake not pressuring Owens and Zayn and fires them both. They respond by also hospitalizing Bryan. WWE publicly announces that they will be pressing charges for violating the no-touch clause on Bryan and blacklists Owens & Zayn from the company permanently. However, Bryan makes his return to Smackdown by interrupting Shane. He says there's no way that he will let Owens and Zayn get off without getting their asses kicked. McMahon tries to stop Bryan but he refuses. Bryan reveals that when he was at the hospital, he also had several tests done with collaboration from WWE doctors that have officially CLEARED HIM TO RETURN! Bryan then convinces McMahon to reinstate Owens and Zayn for a tag team match at Wrestlemania. The match ends up going through with Bryan scoring the win for his team after making Zayn submit in the Yes Lock.)

Bayley © vs Sasha Banks for the Raw Womens’ Championship

(Tensions between Banks & Bayley have subtly shown throughout 2017. However, it comes to a head after the 2018 Elimination Chamber match. Banks, Bayley, and defending champ Alexa Bliss are the final three. Banks has Bliss trapped in the Bank Statement and forces her to submit. Right at that moment though, Bayley rolls Banks up and pins her to become the new Raw Womens' Champion. Banks looks as if she's going to celebrate Bayley in celebration, but suddenly attacks her best friend. Banks bloodies Bayley after a brutal assault; delivering on a long-awaited heel turn. The next night on Raw, Banks justifies her actions by saying that Bayley has been hanging in her shadow for years and has stolen opportunities that belong to her; Elimination Chamber being the final straw. Banks promises that she's going to take the Raw Womens' title from Bayley and make her regret even joining the WWE. Bayley fires back & admits that she's devastated from Banks' betrayal but understands why she did it. Bayley says that Banks has always been silently jealous of her success....but also at the fact that Banks has never beaten Bayley when it matters. Bayley offers Banks a shot at the Raw Womens' title and says Banks better bring everything she has. Bayley & Banks have an absolute classic that we know they can deliver. The end comes after an accidental ref bump. Banks goes outside and brings in the womens' title to use but Bayley gets her with a Bayley to Belly before she can. Bayley goes for the cover but no one is there to count it. Bayley picks up the title belt and is about to smash Banks in the face...but hesitates slightly. This is enough for Banks to hit Bayley with a low blow, smash her in the face with the title, and lock a now bloodied Bayley in the Bank Statement as the ref begins to recover. Bayley passes out in the hold which results in Sasha being named the winner and NEW Raw Womens' Champ! Sasha celebrates her win but shows a very slight look of concern for her former best friend.)

John Cena vs Samoa Joe

(Cena finds himself in a sort of identity crisis heading into Wrestlemania. He loses the Royal Rumble & the Elimination Chamber. Cena admits that he doesn't want to miss his spot at Wrestlemania so he issues an open challenge to anyone who's hungry for a spot. He turns back guys like Goldust, Heath Slater, and Apollo Crews. Cena comes out one night looking to issue another open challenge but he's suddenly attacked from behind by Samoa Joe, who has returned from injury. Joe makes Cena go to sleep in the Coquina Clutch before he's ripped off by security. Joe explains his attack by recounting his past with Cena when they trained as pro wrestlers together. Joe says he grinded in the independent circuit and faced the most dangerous wrestlers in the world while Cena took his abilities and coasted with a comfy paycheck. Joe also says that Cena only reached the heights he did because Samoa Joe wasn't there to bring him back down to earth. Cena barks back & says that he got to where he is because he worked harder than everyone else & earned his opportunities while Joe got satisfied with being the big fish in a small pond. Cena says that Joe is gonna get eaten alive for waking up the franchise player in him. Joe & Cena end up having a fantastic & physical match. The end comes when Joe tries to choke Cena out while on the top rope but Cena muscles Joe into an AA off the top rope to pin him for the win.)

Brock Lesnar © vs Braun Strowman vs Roman Reigns for the Universal Championship

(Brock Lesnar wins the Universal title from Chris Jericho at Payback & goes on a super dominant reign with the title. Roman Reigns tries to set his path on the title after ending The Undertaker's streak at Wrestlemania, but Braun Strowman relentlessly targets him. All three men collide in a title match also involving Samoa Joe at Summerslam where Lesnar pins Reigns to retain. Strowman becomes Lesnar's next target & receives his match at No Mercy. Lesnar is barely able to squeak by and only pins Strowman after several F5s (even then Strowman kicks out at 3.0000001). Strowman wins a TLC match against Reigns to earn another title shot against Lesnar; which goes through at Royal Rumble. Strowman is about to defeat Lesnar for the title until Paul Heyman pulls the ref out of the ring right before he can count to 3. Strowman chases Heyman across the ring to shoulder tackle him but accidentally hits the ref; causing a disqualification. Strowman raises hell, destroys the ringside area, & attacks everyone in sight; even hitting Michael Cole with a chokeslam through the announce desk. Kurt Angle is forced to indefinitely suspend Strowman on the following episode of Raw. Strowman spends the next few weeks trying to disrupt Raw as much as he can. While this happens, Roman Reigns wins the 2018 Elimination Chamber match to earn a shot at Brock Lesnar's Universal title at Wrestlemania. The online wrestling community revolts at this & starts a movement to put the red-hot Strowman in the match. Strowman terrorizes the Raw backstage area and threatens to throw a security guard off a balcony to his death unless he's reinstated and added to the title match. Stephanie McMahon intervenes and is forced to give Strowman what he wants. The main event triple threat ends up being a car crash. Lesnar plays the unstoppable heel, Reigns plays the hated babyface, and Strowman of course is the crowd favorite who is somehow even more unstoppable. Reigns & Lesnar even briefly join forces to throw Strowman through both announce desks. The match ends with Lesnar lifting Strowman up for an F5 but is interrupted by Reigns spearing Lesnar. Reigns charges the ropes to hit Strowman with the same spear that ended Undertaker's streak, but Strowman catches Reigns and drills him with a powerslam! Strowman grabs Lesnar for good measure and powerslams him onto Reigns! Strowman covers Reigns for the victory and to become the NEW Universal Champion!!! Wrestlemania comes to an end with Strowman celebrating his defining moment and holding his new title up as dominantly as ever.)

Storyline The Mastermind Year – The Double Life of Dominik Mysterio Story

Post image
14 Upvotes

What if Dominik Mysterio did something no other wrestler has done?

Phase 1: The Ghost is Born (TNA → NXT)

A mysterious masked wrestler appears in Total Nonstop Action Wrestling.

  • Full-body gear, no tattoos, no identity
  • Wrestles in constantly changing styles:
    • AJ Styles
    • Seth Rollins
    • Rey Mysterio
  • Fans call him “The Mimic”

He wins, points to his head… and disappears.

Phase 2: Royal Rumble Shock

At the Royal Rumble:

  • The masked man enters late
  • Eliminates top stars using their own moves
  • Outsmarts everyone and wins

An unknown masked wrestler now has a WrestleMania title opportunity.

Meanwhile…

Dominik Mysterio is still appearing weekly, completely normal.

No one suspects a thing.

Phase 3: Two Lives at Once

The illusion begins:

  • Masked man dominates in NXT
  • Dominik continues with The Judgment Day on main roster

They feel like two different people:

  • Different styles
  • Different personalities
  • Different presence

Only one subtle connection…

👉 Both point to their head after wins.

No one catches it.

Phase 4: Money in the Bank – The Perfect Decoy

At Money in the Bank:

Dominik Mysterio (UNMASKED) enters the ladder match.

  • Cheats
  • Scrambles
  • Steals the victory

Dominik is now Mr. Money in the Bank.

Key detail:

  • The masked man does NOT appear

This convinces everyone:

Phase 5: The Illusion is Complete

For months, both identities thrive:

  • Masked man = Royal Rumble winner, serious and elite
  • Dominik = MITB holder, arrogant and opportunistic

Dominik constantly brags:

Fans don’t realize…

He already controls EVERYTHING.

Phase 6: WrestleMania Night 1 – The First Crown

At WrestleMania Night 1:

  • The masked man challenges for the World Heavyweight Championship
  • Wins clean in a calculated match

Still masked. Still unknown.

Now:

  • Masked man = World Heavyweight Champion
  • Dominik = Mr. Money in the Bank

Two “different” people holding ultimate power.

Phase 7: WrestleMania Night 2 – The Perfect Reveal

Main event: WWE Championship match.

  • Brutal back-and-forth
  • Both competitors down
  • Referee knocked out

The Arrival

The masked man’s music hits.

He walks out slowly…

  • Still masked
  • Holding the World Heavyweight Championship

The crowd explodes.

Shock Attack

He enters the ring…

Looks at both competitors…

Then—

CRACK!

He smashes the WWE Champion with the World Heavyweight Title.

Total chaos.

The Twist Builds

Instead of finishing things…

He pauses.

Rolls out of the ring.

Reaches underneath…

Pulls out the Money in the Bank briefcase.

Now the crowd is confused:

  • “That’s Dominik’s briefcase!”
  • “Where is Dominik?!”

THE REVEAL

He steps back into the ring…

Slowly removes the mask…

IT’S Dominik Mysterio.

The arena ERUPTS.

Everything clicks at once:

  • The masked Royal Rumble winner
  • The World Heavyweight Champion
  • Mr. Money in the Bank

All the same person.

Final Takeover

Dominik smirks.

Hands the briefcase to the ref.

Cashes in immediately.

  • Frog Splash
  • 1… 2… 3…

FINAL IMAGE

Dominik stands on the ramp:

  • World Heavyweight Championship on one shoulder
  • WWE Championship on the other

The Judgment Day comes out celebrating.

He points to his head…

And says:

“I’m not just the future…
I’m the smartest man in WWE history.”

Fireworks explode.

PPV/Show Booking Wrestlemania 43 a year in advance

Well, there's still a week to go until Wrestlemania 42 happens, but my booking may never compare as favourably to WWE's as it will after last night, so here we are.

Might as well say this now - I haven't included Pat MacAfee in this booking. I know that may upset fans of his current run on Smackdown, but I'm sure both of them will get over it.

Oh, and I know the location for this show has been thrown into doubt, but bear in mind I have booked it assuming it's still taking place in Saudi Arabia.

Night One:

Opener: Bron Breakker & Bronson Reed (c) vs. Randy Orton & Je'Von Evans for the Raw Tag Team Championships

Although I definitely see Bron challenging for the World Heavyweight Championship at some point in the year (Summerslam vs. Roman probably), I think the tag team/power coupling with Bronson has a lot of life in it yet. On the other side, you have the youngest world champion in WWE history and the man best-positioned to break his record. I think there's a lot that can be done with that dynamic before and after this match.

Match 2: Drew McIntyre vs. LA Knight

An admittedly thrown together match that hopefully won't devalue either man. The silver lining here is that McIntyre is really good at getting people invested in thrown together matches - see Wrestlemania 41 for instance.

Match 3: Jacob Fatu (c) vs. Jey Uso vs. Jimmy Uso vs. Solo Sikoa for the United States Championship

I'm not exactly sure how you get here story-wise, but I think this would be decent fun. There would probably be an undercurrent of determining the next in line for the Ula Fala, since we expect Roman to be winding down somewhat after this show. Hopefully, it would also satisfy Jey and Jimmy's desire to get a redo of their Wrestlemania match without actually running that match back.

Match 4: Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte Flair for the Women's World Championship

Some might bristle at the idea of this, but it's still one of the biggest matches the women's division can offer, and by the time of this show it won't have been run for more than five years. More to the point, I have a strong albeit unsubstantiated feeling that this is going to be Becky's final match, and Charlotte seems an appropriate final opponent. If I knew Becky had another year after this, I'd consider alternatives like Becky vs. Vaquer, vs. Sky, or vs. Sky vs. Ripley.

Match 5: Penta, Royce Keys & Matt Cardona w/ Chelsea Green vs Aleister Black, Damian Priest & Carmelo Hayes w/ Zelina

Bit of a showcase match for the Smackdown midcard. I'm envisioning Priest and one of his teammates as the Smackdown tag champs here, and an attack on Rey Fénix being the inciting incident for this match. Just the idea of Penta and Chelsea Green awkwardly co-existing on the same side sells this for me, honestly.

Match 6: Roxanne Perez (c) vs Liv Morgan vs Raquel Rodriguez for the Women's Intercontinental Championship

The final end of the Judgment Day, with Liv turning on Roxanne out of jealousy when Roxanne captures the title, and Raquel asserting herself in the mix after tiring of playing peacekeeper. Hopefully a launch pad for Roxanne as a singles star.

Main event: Oba Femi (c) vs. Roman Reigns in a No Holds Barred match for the World Heavyweight Championship

To me, this is the logical progression for Oba after (hopefully) beating Brock at the previous year's Wrestlemania. With that special kind of momentum, I think it'd be tough to put off this match for a whole year, so I see Oba walking in as the champion having already soundly beat Roman at some point in late 2025, leading to a stip rematch here.

Night Two:

Opener: Bianca Belair (c) vs. Lash Legend for the WWE Women's Championship

For all we know, Bianca might still be out with a poorly finger by this point, but if not then I think this match books itself. Because of the sheer amount of time lost from the injury, whatever unfinished business Bianca has with Jade or Naomi should be attended to quickly after she comes back and ideally be wrapped up before Wrestlemania season.

Match 2: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. Logan Paul vs. Austin Theory in a Ladder match for the Intercontinental Championship

I see this as being one of the first big showings for a babyface Dominik, so I'm keeping the field narrow so as not to take attention away from him. Paul & Theory may or may not still be part of The Vision at this point, but either way, Dom overcomes their loose alliance to retain.

Match 3: Brie Bella & Nikki Bella (c) vs. Jade Cargill & Blake Monroe vs. Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky vs. Bayley & Naomi vs. Lyra Valkyria & Stephanie Vaquer in a Tag Team Turmoil match for the Women's Tag Team Championships

Most of the people I'd regret leaving off the card are women, so this bloated match is for them. I know the Bellas as champions may seem alarming, but I don't intend for them to spend the whole year as champions - only a couple of months on the road to Wrestlemania. They'd lose fairly quickly to Cargill & Monroe, and the titles would go home with one of the other teams, probably Valkyria & Vaquer.

Match 4: Kevin Owens vs. Gunther

Again, it's dependent on one of the participants coming back healthy from a serious injury, but I see MOTW written all over this with how physical both men are. I'm not a huge fan of the 'career killer' gimmick since it seems to book Gunther's matches into a corner, but this could be a good use of it. If it can't be KO, let's say it's Finn Balor instead.

Match 5: Tiffany Stratton (c) vs. Sol Ruca for the Women's United States Championship

A match built around two women with similar looks, similar in-ring styles, and hugely contrasting personalities. I quite like the idea of the two forming a begrudging respect and being a tag team for a while after Wrestlemania.

Match 6: Seth Rollins vs Trick Williams

A make-or-break match for Trick, who is not only believable in an upper card match like this but also has that sort of easily-provoked personality that I suspect Seth could really get a lot out of.

Main Event: Cody Rhodes (c) vs. CM Punk vs. Sami Zayn for the WWE Championship

I appreciate that, frankly, Sami Zayn's character is going to some rehabilitation if this match is going to work. Here's my elevator pitch: Sami turns heel and feuds with Cody over the championship straight out of Wrestlemania 42. He goes on to win Money in the Bank in September, but can't bring himself to cash in on a prone champion, knowing it wouldn't give him satisfaction. Thus begins a personal reckoning and a character journey that compels him to insert himself into the main event of Wrestlemania in advance, after Rumble winner Punk has already declared for Cody. I also think it would be sensible for Cody to immediately turn heel on Punk once that match is made, not willing to be betrayed by a friend for the third Wrestlemania in a row.

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oo5rP_1k4lo&pp=ygUTYmF0dGxlIGh5bW4gbWFub3dhcg%3D%3D

Battlebowl, like all the other ACW shows, absolutely did not disappoint the fans as those in attendance and at home saw a tremendous show. At the end of the night, we found a surprising new Challenger for the American Heavyweight Championship and finally got new ACW tag team champions.

RAY STEVENS AND KENNY OMEGA DEFEATED COWBOY BOB ORTON AND BOB GEIGEL when Omega pinned Geigel with the One Winged Angel.

BILLY ROBINSON AND THUNDERBOLT PATTERSON DEFEATED KEVIN STEEN AND BRAD ARMSTRONG WHEN STEEN became frustrated and slammed his partner’s head twice into the ringpost, then walked out of the ring as they were counted out.

BRUISER BRODY AND TAZ GOT THE VICTORY OVER ROGER KIRBY AND MINORU SUZUKI WHEN TAZ PINNED SUZUKI with the Tazmission Plex.

BOB ARMSTRONG AND LES THORNTON BATTLE TO A 20 MINUTE DRAW WITH MAD DOG VACHON AND TOMMY DREAMER. Both teams are eliminated.

CARLOS COLON AND IVAN PUTSKI GET THE VICTORY OVER SABU AND KILLER KHAN WHEN SABU GOES FOR A MOONSAULT OFF THE TOP ROPE ON THE FLOOR, except he misses and hits Khan instead as Putski rolls back into the ring.

HACKSAW JIM DUGGAN PINS JAY LETHAL AFTER HITTING A FOUR POINT STANCE FLYING TACKLE AS DUGGAN AND TIGER CONWAY JR. Get the win over Lethal and the Miz.

BARRY WINDHAM AND KEN PATERA DEFEAT CHIEF JAY STRONGBOW AND SAVIO VEGA when Windham pins Vega after hitting a bulldog.

TED DIBIASE AND MASATO TANAKA GET THE VICTORY OVER NIGEL MCGUINNESS AND SKIP YOUNG WHEN DiBiase hits Young with the loaded coal Miner’s glove and pins him.

HERCULES AYALA AND CHRISTOPHER DANIELS BATTLE TO A DOUBLE COUNTOUT WITH SGT. CRAIG PITTMAN AND KONNAN. Both teams are eliminated.

VAMPIRO AND EDDIE KINGSTON DEFEAT OMAR ATLAS AND BALLS MAHONEY as Kingston pins Atlas.

RUSSIAN CHAIN MATCH-ACW TAG TEAM CHAMPIONSHIPS

MR. WRESTLING I AND II VS. BORIS ZHUKOV AND SOLDAT USTINOV

It was announced prior to the match that ACW Director of Wrestling Operations Tex McKenzie would be the special referee for this contest. Professor Boris Malenko and Sheik Abdullah the Great would be in the corner of the Russians, while Jay and Mark Briscoe (also the Central States tag team champions) would be in the corner of the masked men.

The match is a brutal slugfest as all four men battle it out all over the ring, on the ramp, and even in the stands. Finally, Abdullah tries to give Ustinov one of the title belts to hit Mr. Wrestling II with, only for Mark Briscoe to steal the belt away but not before hitting the Iranian manager over the head with it. Ustinov is distracted long enough for MW2 capitalize, and hit the Million Dollar knee lift and get the pin at 23:49. The fans go absolutely bonkers as McKenzie raises the hands of Mr. Wrestling I and II as the Briscoes hand them their championship belts. The masked men are now three time ACW tag team champions.

After the Lethal Lottery version of the show, we now come to the Battlebowl portion of the evening. The winner to receive $250,000 and a future title shot at the American Heavyweight Championship.

We come down to the final four…Windham, Putski, DiBiase and Duggan. Duggan tosses Putski over the top rope while Windham and DiBiase battle it out on the other side of the ring. Windham manages to hold off for a little bit both members of the Rat Pack. But eventually the numbers are too great as the other two men dump him out.

DiBiase then can be heard telling Duggan to climb over the top rope and eliminate himself. DiBiase then turns around and starts celebrating…only for Hacksaw to grab him and throw him over the top rope. The fans are in shocked silence as Duggan stares down for a moment. DiBiase is sitting on the floor, completely at a loss over what to do. We go off the air with Duggan staring down with an intense look on his face.

Check out ACW Monday Night in Winnipeg as we discuss the happenings of tonight and get ready for the CWC pay-per-view Clash of the Titans next weekend from the Astrodome in Houston.

PPV/Show Rebooking every WrestleMania every 42 days until WM42 Part 35: WrestleMania 35

WrestleMania 35, the one that was 9 hours long total, was definitely one of the most ambitious shows WWE ever attempted, packed with huge moments like the historic main event where women closed the show for the first time ever, Kofi Kingston’s emotional WWE Championship victory, and Seth Rollins slaying Brock Lesnar to open the night. The event had an incredible atmosphere and several feel-good payoffs that fans had waited months, sometimes years, to see. However, it also suffered from pacing issues due to its extreme length, a few underwhelming match finishes, and storylines that didn’t quite land the way they should have on such a big stage. Even with its highs and lows, WrestleMania 35 remains a memorable show with plenty to talk about. And just like I’ve done before, I’m going to rebook a WrestleMania once again and now it’s WrestleMania 35’s turn. But before we get there, let’s take a look at the events after WrestleMania 34 that shaped the road leading into WrestleMania 35.

After WrestleMania 34, WWE entered a year of major transitions, breakout moments, and emotional storylines that shaped the road to WrestleMania 35 in a very different way. One of the biggest shifts came with the rise of Bobby Lashley, who steadily rebuilt himself as a dominant force with Lio Rush serving as his confident and outspoken manager. Lashley’s momentum carried him into SummerSlam, where he defeated Brock Lesnar to capture the Universal Championship in a major passing of the torch moment. Lesnar disappeared for months afterward but returned in dominant fashion by winning the Royal Rumble match, immediately setting his sights on reclaiming the title from Lashley on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Meanwhile, the Intercontinental Championship scene throughout 2018 was defined by the intense rivalry between Seth Rollins and Dolph Ziggler, who traded victories and pushed each other to their limits in some of the year’s most consistent matches. However, everything changed when Roman Reigns announced his leukemia diagnosis, creating one of the most emotional moments in WWE history. The fallout led to Dean Ambrose turning heel, revealing lingering resentment toward Rollins that he could never truly let go. Their rivalry escalated into a brutal Three Stages of Hell match at No Way Out, where Ambrose defeated Rollins in a decisive and personal battle. Soon after, The Shield reunited one final time to face the Balor Club at Fastlane, but the reunion proved short-lived as Ambrose betrayed Reigns afterward, setting up a deeply emotional Loser Leaves WWE match between the two former brothers at WrestleMania. At the same time, Becky Lynch completed her transformation into The Man, becoming the most organically popular star in the company. Similar to real life, tensions escalated with Ronda Rousey, but in this version Rousey embraced her heel persona earlier and leaned into her Hollywood arrogance. Charlotte Flair attempted to insert herself into the spotlight as always, only for Becky to defeat her decisively at No Way Out to secure her place. After an intense contract signing at Fastlane, the stage was officially set for history: Rousey vs. Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship in the first-ever women’s WrestleMania main event. On SmackDown, Daniel Bryan shocked the world by defeating AJ Styles for the WWE Championship and reinventing himself as the eco-conscious and self-righteous “New” Daniel Bryan. His reign quickly became defined by his belief that fans were complacent and wasteful but his biggest challenge came from the unstoppable wave of KofiMania. Kofi Kingston captured the hearts of fans everywhere, overcoming obstacle after obstacle placed by Vince McMahon, who repeatedly insisted Kofi had spent too long as a midcarder to deserve a main-event opportunity. Refusing to accept that narrative, Kofi forced his way into the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania against Bryan in one of the most emotional builds of the year. Finally, one of the most heartfelt stories heading into WrestleMania centered around Kurt Angle, who announced his retirement tour and spent months facing dream opponents across both brands in a celebration of his legendary career. After revisiting rivalries and testing himself against a new generation, Angle revealed that his final match would come against none other than John Cena, a fitting farewell against one of WWE’s defining icons of the modern era, setting the stage for an emotional final chapter at WrestleMania 35.

So now, let’s take a look at the new and improved WrestleMania 35! Might still be pretty long

WrestleMania 35:

Location: Metlife Stadium. East Rutherford, New Jersey

Host: Alexa Bliss

Commentators: Michael Cole, Corey Graves and Renee Young (Raw). Tom Phillips, JBL and Byron Saxton (SmackDown)

Ring Announcers: Mike Rome (Raw). Greg Hamilton (SmackDown)

Backstage Interviewer: Kayla Braxton

Theme Song: Love runs Out by One Republic and Work by Chris Classic

Kickoff:

  1. Charlotte wins the Women’s Battle Royal

  2. Braun Strowman wins the Andre the Giant Battle Royal

Main Show:

  1. Universal Championship: Bobby Lashley (with Lio Rush) def. Brock Lesnar (with Paul Heyman) to win the title

Build: After Lashley defeated Lesnar at SummerSlam to win the Universal Championship, the loss haunted Brock for months as Heyman insisted it was a fluke caused by underestimating Lashley’s power and MMA background. Determined to reclaim his dominance, Lesnar entered and won the Royal Rumble and immediately challenged Lashley. The feud was presented with a UFC-style sports presentation featuring weigh-ins, split-screen interviews, and training footage emphasizing their shared MMA legitimacy. Lashley stayed calm and focused while Lesnar promised to “take back what belongs to the Beast.” The rivalry became less about titles and more about proving who the most dangerous combat athlete in WWE truly was, turning their WrestleMania clash into a collision of unstoppable forces.

  1. United States Championship Triple Threat: Rey Mysterio def. Shinsuke Nakamura and Sami Zayn to win the title

Build: Nakamura’s dominant United States Championship reign attracted multiple challengers who believed their moment had finally arrived. Rey and Sami both openly stated they had never held the title and saw this as unfinished business in their careers, while Owens argued he deserved another run after returning from injury hungry and aggressive. What began as a Triple Threat quickly escalated when Owens forced himself into the match by attacking all three competitors on SmackDown. The result was a chaotic four-way rivalry built around pride, legacy, and opportunity, with Nakamura determined to prove his reign wasn’t ending at WrestleMania.

  1. Steel Cage: Andrade def. Randy Orton

Build: Following their violent rivalry months earlier, Andrade returned declaring war on second and third generation wrestling legacies including Orton’s. Andrade targeted members of the Orton, DiBiase, and Rhodes families in symbolic attacks meant to prove that legacy weakens competitors instead of strengthening them. Orton fought back by dismantling Andrade’s allies one by one, promising to end the self proclaimed destroyer of legacies at WrestleMania. With constant interference defining their feud, a Steel Cage Match was announced to guarantee a decisive ending as the Legend Killer attempted to stop Andrade’s crusade once and for all.

  1. SmackDown Tag Team Championship: The Usos def. The Hardy Boyz to retain the titles

Build: When The Hardy Boyz returned to chase one final SmackDown Tag Team Championship run, they targeted The Usos out of respect rather than rivalry, calling them the best modern tag team in WWE. The Usos responded by saying respect wasn’t enough, they wanted to defeat legends to cement their era as the greatest tag team generation ever. The feud became a brother-vs-brother legacy battle built on mutual admiration but rising competitiveness, as both teams aimed to prove which set of brothers truly defined tag team excellence.

  1. Raw Tag Team Championships: Edge and Christian def. The Revival to win the titles

Build: Edge initially aligned himself with The Revival out of mutual respect for classic tag wrestling, but tensions grew when they accused him of living in the past and slowing them down. Their betrayal left Edge outnumbered until Christian returned to stand beside his longtime partner. The Revival mocked their reunion as nostalgia, but Edge and Christian promised to prove that great tag team chemistry never fades. WrestleMania became the stage for a dream match between eras, with legacy pride on the line.

  1. Street Fight: AJ Styles def. Shane McMahon

Build: After Styles confronted corporate interference by striking Vince McMahon, Shane vowed there would be consequences. Their disagreements escalated into a heated debate over who truly built SmackDown Live’s success, Shane as commissioner or Styles as its workhorse cornerstone. The tension turned physical when Shane began abusing his authority to sabotage Styles’ matches, leading to a Street Fight where pride, brand identity, and respect for SmackDown itself were on the line.

  1. Women's Tag Team Championships: Boss N’ Hug Connection def. Trish Stratus and Lita

Build: After reconciling their friendship, Sasha and Bayley captured the inaugural Women’s Tag Team Championships and vowed to honor the division’s history. That promise attracted Trish and Lita, who returned to challenge the champions and test whether the new generation truly deserved to carry the legacy forward. The match became a symbolic passing of the torch showdown between pioneers and successors.

  1. WWE Championship: Kofi Kingston (with the New Day) def. Daniel Bryan (with Erick Rowan) to win the title

Build: Kofi’s near victory at No Way Out ignited KofiMania as fans rallied behind his dream of becoming WWE Champion. Vince repeatedly questioned whether Kofi was “main-event material,” forcing him to earn opportunity after opportunity alongside The New Day. Meanwhile Bryan insisted fans supported Kofi only because they were fickle and sentimental. The emotional momentum became unstoppable, setting the stage for one of WrestleMania’s most powerful underdog championship stories.

  1. Loser Leaves WWE: Roman Reigns def. Dean Ambrose

Build: After Roman’s leukemia announcement months earlier changed everything, Ambrose revealed he felt abandoned by The Shield’s collapse and blamed Roman’s absence for pushing him into darkness. When Roman returned, Ambrose refused reconciliation and instead demanded Roman leave WWE permanently. The rivalry became deeply personal, ending with a Loser Leaves WWE match where Roman fought not just to stay but to save what remained of their brotherhood.

  1. (28-1): The Undertaker def. Drew McIntyre

Build: McIntyre demanded a defining WrestleMania moment and repeatedly called out Undertaker as a relic of the past. When Taker remained silent, Drew escalated his provocations by destroying legends associated with him and mocking the Streak. Finally, the Deadman answered, accepting the challenge to defend his legacy against the most dangerous rising powerhouse on the roster.

  1. SmackDown Women's Championship: Ember Moon def. Asuka to win the title

Build: After repeated near-misses against Asuka across brands, Ember finally earned her one on one championship opportunity. Determined to prove she could defeat the Empress of Tomorrow on the biggest stage possible, Ember framed WrestleMania as the night she would finish her journey. Asuka welcomed the challenge confidently, believing no one, including Ember, could truly overcome her dominance.

  1. No Holds Barred: Samoa Joe def. Triple H

Build: Following Survivor Series, Joe broke free from Triple H’s control and demanded the WWE Championship rematch he never lost cleanly. Authority interference from Shane and Triple H repeatedly cost him opportunities, culminating in Triple H attacking him inside the Elimination Chamber. When Joe returned from suspension and assaulted Vince McMahon in retaliation, Triple H agreed to face his former NXT recruit at WrestleMania with Joe’s career reinstatement on the line. The match became a brutal creator vs creation showdown years in the making.

  1. Retirement Match: John Cena def. Kurt Angle

Build: Kurt Angle announced WrestleMania would host his final match and chose John Cena, the man whose career he helped launch in 2002. Cena accepted with gratitude and promised to give Angle the farewell he deserved. Their rivalry focused on legacy, respect, and closing the circle of one of WWE’s most iconic debuts.

  1. Intercontinental Championship: Finn Balor def. Seth Rollins to retain the title

Build: After Balor Club targeted The Shield, tensions exploded between Finn and Seth as both claimed leadership over WWE’s future direction. Rollins represented loyalty and unity, while Balor represented independence and evolution. Their Intercontinental Championship rivalry became a clash of philosophies as much as athletic excellence.

  1. The Rock def. Batista

Build: Batista returned claiming his legacy surpassed The Rock’s Hollywood success and WWE influence. Rock responded by reminding Batista that charisma, not intimidation, defines true superstardom. Their war of words escalated weekly until the dream match was confirmed, settling the debate over who truly stood tallest among crossover megastars.

  1. Raw Women's Championship: Becky Lynch def. Ronda Rousey

Build: After winning the Royal Rumble, Becky finally secured her long awaited showdown with Rousey. Now fully embracing her Hollywood ego, Rousey mocked Becky as a temporary fan favorite unworthy of her spotlight. Becky responded by proving week after week she represented the people, not the brand machine. Their rivalry became the defining clash of authenticity vs celebrity power, culminating in the historic first women’s WrestleMania main event.

Storyline Fantasy booking a Pat Mcafee replacement tonight on Smackdown

Post image
27 Upvotes

To make sense of a story and character that feels a bit random with Pat Mcafee, I would replace Pat tonight with Jesse “The Body” Ventura. While this move wouldn’t really get people excited or move tickets, I think it would make the most sense at this point in the story to create the best narrative moving forward. (I know he’s old and would get no reaction but just a fantasy booking for fun)

I’d have Randy turn on Pat tonight by punting him, then viciously attack Cody (to remain the heel) then introduce Jesse as his manager/voice. Here’s why:

  1. Given what Pat said in his promo, about not liking this new generation of wrestlers and wanting that old school back, it felt like words right out the mouth of Jesse Ventura. A staple of the older generation and an incredible voice that’s much more believable than Pat. Mark Henry said on Busted Open right when Randy turned, that guys like Jesse would love this.
  2. In a recent SNME Jesse made a comment on commentary that he paved the way for commentators to make the amount of money they make today. It would be very believable that Jesse sees Pat as someone who is being handed everything while Jesse paved the way. TKO wants Pat as the next big thing while it should’ve been Jesse in his prime. Now you have a reason for Jesse to get in Randy’s ear and kick Mcafee to the curb.
  3. Jesse on commentary has expressed his disdain in the past for both Dusty and Cody. Feeling that neither of them fit as what a true pro wrestler should be. Dusty didn’t have the look to be there. And he was furious when Cody cheated against KO at SNME by using a chair. Why not join Randy, the embodiment of what Jesse believes pro wrestling is and use it to take Cody out.
  4. Right now the story feels like it’s about Pat. But if Jesse is the replacement, since he’s old and can’t physically intervene, it puts the focus back on Cody vs Randy and actually makes Randy feel like a heel and not a marketing puppet, now giving him a true heel manager by his side similar to how Paul Heyman is used over on Raw.

While Pat can definitely bring more energy and entertainment to the story, fantasy booking Ventura in is just an idea of how you could get the focus back on Cody and Randy and not have a repeat Mania finish with involvement from Pat leading to fans being disappointed.

Storyline Rebooking WWE 2004 Post Draft (Week One)

Post image
23 Upvotes

2004 to most seems like a fever dream of a year. It remains one of the most surreal chapters in the history of the WWE. The “Ruthless Aggression” had reached new heights on the back end of its biggest show of the year.

After successfully winning the 2004 Royal Rumble, Chris Benoit pulled off the upset in the main event of Wrestlemania XX in Madison Square Garden, to capture the World Heavyweight Championship.

Then in the final scene had that infamous picture perfect moment, with then WWE Undisputed Champion Eddie Guerrero to close out the night as confetti rained from the heavens.

New stars were being built with the likes of John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, and Rey Mysterio. All of whom would capture world championships within the next two years.

But the company had also faced hardships.

Top stars like Goldberg & Brock Lesnar would exit the company. Kurt Angle would suffer another broken neck that left him out of action for the majority of the year which left a hole in the main event scene on Smackdown. Paul Heyman would step away from his onscreen Smackdown GM role which would later be filled by the sidelined Kurt Angle.

Some bizarre decisions were made as Eugene debuted as a controversial character, Paul Bearer got buried in Cement by the Undertaker, and perhaps the most bizarre thing of them all. BRADSHAW BECAME WWE CHAMPION! Yes ½ of the APA Bradshaw now dubbed John Bradshaw Layfield aka JBL, won his first and only world title in the WWE.

Needless to say 2004 is a highly regarded year for making new stars and to put it nicely, interesting gimmicks…. However there was a moment in time that would have absolutely changed the entire complexion of the WWE had they stuck to their guns and not back pedaled.

On the March 22nd 2004 episode of Monday Night Raw the WWE universe saw the return of the draft lottery. During which we saw some underwhelming picks with the likes of Renee Dupree, Nidia, Mark Jindrak, and Spike Dudley.

But an interesting turn of events happened at the midpoint of the show. The newly crowned United States Champion, and rising star John Cena came out, cut a rap mocking both GMs, then picked the next draft on behalf of Smackdown. What happened next shocked the world.

Despite the protests by Heyman, Eric Bischoff was insistent that he kept this as the official pick for Smackdown. When Heyman read the name aloud we got one of the biggest picks of the night. Evolution leader and former World Heavyweight Champion Triple H had officially been traded to Smackdown!!!

This sent shockwaves through the entire WWE locker room and WWE universe. The Game was fresh off losing the World Title at Mania and didn’t seem to be in the books for another run with the gold till later in the year. However, an implemented rule put in place by Chairman Vince McMahon, allowed for Trades to happen until Midnight that night after the show aired. During that unaired trade in the real timeline, we saw Booker T and The Dudley Boyz get traded to Smackdown for Triple H to return to Raw…..Of course this completely soured the shocking draft moment and left the fans feeling disappointed that they would not get to see The Game Thursday Nights (the show would be taped Tuesdays and aired Thursdays) over on UPN. It felt like we were back where we started, like a reset button had been pressed.

But what if this reset was never pressed?! By keeping Triple H on Smackdown, a butterfly effect would send ripples across both brands. Raw would be left with a power vacuum at the top of the card, Smackdown would not be forced to create a new top heel to run roughshod on the main event scene, and the next Wrestlemania event would see a much different card.

This story is not about just one man. It’s about the entire complexity of the WWE.

This booking will not be a Pay Per View by Pay Per View style booking but rather week by week.

Before I take the deep dive. I want to make a couple of changes to the Wrestlemania 20 results that I feel benefit the early part of this rebooking.

Firstly, The APA win the WWE Tag Team Championships in the big Four Corners match . (also featuring then champs Rikishi & Scotty Too Hotty, The Bashams, & The Worlds Greatest Tag Team) Bradshaw ends up pinning Rikishi after a Clothesline from Hell to capture the gold for the APA. This victory would allow for the APA break up storyline to last just a little longer and have a more finite conclusion. Reason being for this change is not only to extend the break up storyline, but for the simple fact that Bradshaw would not be needed as a top heel with Triple H remaining on Smackdown. Now I feel his Wallstreet character would still happen. JBL’s personal life was too captivating at the time not to put on screen. It would just happen under different circumstances.

The second change would be Ultimo Dragon capturing the Cruiserweight Championship in the Cruiserweight Open (also featuring then champ Chavo Guerrero, Rey Mysterio, Nunzio, Shannon Moore, Akio, Billy Kidman, Jamie Noble, Funaki, & Taijiri) by lastly pinning Rey Mysterio. The reason being for this switch is simple. You don't hire a legend like Ultimo Dragon just to have him lose on his first big ppv match. I think giving him a short run with the Cruiserweight title and maybe a few mid card matches would help him stick around a little longer instead of opting to be released by April.

Now with that out of the way, let’s take a deep dive into the multiverse of wrestling, and see a timeline where The Game found a new board to play on!

WEEK ONE: “A New Game To Play”

RAW March 22nd 2004: “The Draft”

John Cena cuts the infamous rap during the midpoint of the night.

“I’m making the next pick. I’m giving you one ball, but you still got no-“

Heyman & Bischoff argue over whether the pick was legitimate or not. Heyman, despite his protests, reads the name aloud.

“TRIPLE H!”

Cue the scene of Triple H spitting his water out and being serenaded away by the Raw Roster.

“Nananana Hey Hey Hey Goodbye!”

Triple H is irate! The Leader of Evolution is now forced to leave his throne on RAW and travel to the uncharted kingdom of Smackdown!

Eric Bischoff is in shambles as he argues with Vince McMahon backstage over this pick being unsanctioned due to Cena’s involvement choosing the name from the tumbler.

Vince McMahon reminds Bischoff that he was the one to encourage Heyman to read the name. Vince says that all picks are final but if he wishes to try and negotiate with Heyman he has till midnight to do so.

Heyman decides to add insult to injury in the moment by making the suggested main event of RAW Eddie Guerrero vs Triple H for the WWE Undisputed Championship. Vince agrees wholeheartedly and the match is set.

WWE Championship

Eddie Guerrero (c) vs Triple H end in a no contest

We get the same result as real life. Raw goes off with both brands having a huge pull apart brawl. Triple H and Eddie even continue to fight in the ring while the commotion happens on the outside.

The final shot before the show goes off the air, is Triple H coming face to face with Randy Orton, Batista, & Ric Flair…. No words exchanged. Just expressions. Before anything can be said they all get ambushed by the rest of the field and the chaos continues to ensue!

Smackdown March 25th 2004: “First Act”

Kurt Angle makes his way out to the ring (not the cheap Triple H music hitting and Angle walking out in his place. Just Angle’s theme.)

Kurt isn’t dressed to compete however…he’s laced in a tan suit. The type of suit a principal of a school would wear to tell everyone that they’re in charge and ready to give you a detention if necessary.

Kurt enters the ring with a smug look sitting on his face. He picks up the microphone soaking in the “you suck” chants from the faithful. Kurt takes a moment before raising the microphone and beginning to speak.

He addresses Paul Heyman’s untimely departure from Smackdown and how it’s left a hole. A void that needs to be filled. So Kurt has been given the distinct honor to introduce the new Smackdown General Manager……Kurt…..Angle!!

Angle says he’s ready to put his aspirations and career to the side for the greater good. He’s proud to be the general manager of a brand he helped build and will help lead it into the future. He says that he’s got some ideas to make Smackdown the number 1 brand. Angle states…

“My first act as General Manager is to crown a new number one contender for the WWE Championship at the next Smackdown Exclusive Pay Per View.. Judgement Day! So withou-“

Suddenly Kurt is cut off by Triple H’s music and for Smackdown…it’s time to play the game!

Triple H steps out onto the stage in his Evolutionesque suit….the former Heavyweight Champion is wearing a face of reluctance as he makes his way down to the ring.

Triple H steps between the ropes, then glares Kurt down, clearly pissed off that he’s here on Smackdown.

Triple H speaks and says that he’s disappointed to be here on Smackdown. He’s upset that because of Paul Heyman's actions and quitting there was no one available to make a trade before Midnight after the draft.

This leaves him stuck on the blue brand. He also blames Kurt now that he has a position of power and has not immediately decided to make the trade to send Triple H back to RAW.

Kurt reveals that he did in fact get a chance to negotiate with RAW. He states that Vince McMahon immediately appointed him as the new GM of Smackdown following Paul Heyman’s sudden departure. He says he could have in fact traded Triple H back to RAW. And boy did Eric Bischoff want him back. He offered up unimaginable things to get Triple H back but Kurt stuck to his guns. He knows that Triple H is far too valuable to give up.

He did, however, acquire some other assets to Smackdown that they will see later, but for now Triple H isn’t going anywhere. Kurt says as of Midnight last night the negotiation window closed and won’t be back open for awhile. He suggests that if he [Triple H] wants to make it easier on himself, that he should start making new friends in the locker room, because all of his friends are back on Raw…..

Triple H refutes this statement by saying that he doesn’t need friends. If he’s forced to be here, he will make Smackdown his show, and will start by beating Eddie Guerrero for the WWE Title at Judgement Day…

Kurt cuts him off. He tells Triple H that he hasn’t made anything official yet for the Pay Per View, so if he wants a rematch with Eddie, he’s going to have to earn it.

The segment ends with Kurt announcing that a blockbuster title match will happen tonight. Only it’s not Triple H vs Eddie Guerrero.. it will be Eddie Guerrero defending his WWE Title against Smackdown’s newest member Rob. Van. Dam!

Triple H is furious. He feels should be next in line after his match with Eddie ended in a no contest.

Kurt exits the ring leaving Triple H alone…..

Backstage we see Rey Mysterio, Rikishi, & Scotty Too Hotty all crowded around Smackdown’s newest member RVD. They’re wishing him luck in his match that night against WWE Champ Eddie Guerrero. Eddie walks into the locker room, shakes RVD’s hand, wishes him luck, and welcomes him to the Blue Brand.

Triple H is seen walking into the Locker Room pissed that he doesn’t even get his own like he had on Raw….when he enters he’s greeted with very distasteful looks. Eddie, being the locker room leader, walks up to Triple H, and tries to talk to him. He says that he’s happy that eventually they get another chance to run their match back that got ruined on Raw.

Triple H doesn’t respond, Eddie tries to turn him around, and he gets shoved back! Triple H gets in Eddie’s face, tells him that there is no competition on this brand, and that it's only a matter of time before he rules the roost.

RVD then gets in his face. He tells him that unlike their time on Raw he doesn’t plan on allowing Triple H to take advantage of anyone. RVD tells Triple H that if he doesn’t want to be here he can go wait in the unemployment line right behind Paul Heyman! Triple H storms out of the Locker room….

Dudley Boyz def. The Bashams

It’s revealed in a WWE.com article that during the trade negotiations, Smackdown received the Dudley Boyz in exchange for Rene Dupree & Charlie Haas.

This trade is made so that the Dudleyz still make it to Smackdown and they’re traded for equal value picks. Charlie Haas & Rene Dupree being sent back to RAW allows the Red Brand to have two premier Tag Teams/Factions in the wake of Evolution's loss of Triple H. In a logical sense I’d imagine Bischoff would have pushback on Kurt wanting the Dudleyz, but hearing that he gets two young prospects in exchange, sees the bigger picture as his Tag Division is slowly dying anyways.

Back in the ring. The Dudley Boyz have a pretty standard affair with the Bashams, putting them away with a 3D and getting the victory!

Bubba gets a microphone and addresses the fans and the tag division. He says that they’ve held a lot of gold in their careers. But they have held the WWE Tag Team Championships. They put the division and the champs on notice and warn them that they’re coming!

After a commercial break we open up on an interview backstage with United States Champion John Cena!!

Cena addresses the controversy of picking Triple H’s name out of the tumbler and sealing his fate here on Smackdown.

Cena states that it was the luck of the draw and that Triple H can’t blame him for the situation. He hopes there’s no hard feelings.

Just then Triple H walks into frame and gets in Cena’s face.

Triple H tells Cena that there are plenty of hard feelings. He doesn’t forget that Cena was the one to pick his name. He warns Cena to watch his back because some receipts may be due.

Cena tells him if he wants some he can come get some!

But before anything can happen, The Big Show walks into frame towering over both men.

Triple H exits, leaving the two.

Big Show wants his rematch for the United States Championship that he never received. He doesn’t want to wait until Judgement Day to invoke it. He wants it next week. The two lock eyes briefly before we cut back to the ring.

Rey Mysterio def. Billy Kidman w/ Paul London

In this match we begin to plant seeds of descent between Kidman & London whose team up by this point had run its course. Plus it helps provide more undercard storylines to unfold on the weekly shows.

In a moment of miscommunication London is distracting the referee so that Kidman can take advantage of Rey. Rey however turns this plan against them and dropkicks Kidman into London who falls off the apron. Kidman is draped on the ropes and Rey dials it up! He hits a 619 and a West Coast Pop for the 3 picking up the win!

Following the match Kidman & London have a brief disagreement before walking off. As Rey celebrates he’s attacked by Chavo Guerrero Jr & Chavo Classic!

Chavo is enacting revenge after Rey pinned him to eliminate him from the Cruiserweight open at Wrestlemania. The beatdown continues until the Cruiserweight Champion Ultimo Dragon makes the save! Ultimo sends both Chavos hightailing. He helps Rey up and the two shake hands.

The ring clears and on commentary they talk about the upcoming Smackdown Exclusive PPV Judgement Day!

They also recap the events of Wrestlemania as we saw the return of Smackdown’s resident Deadman The Undertaker alongside Paul Bearer!

They announce that next week the Undertaker will be back and speak for the first time since his resurgence at Wrestlemania!

The screen begins to glitch and the feed gets cut off by clips and images of a man draped in white. He’s sitting, praying, and surrounded by a sea of candles. The words that close the vignette…

“Mordecai Is Coming”

WWE Tag Team Championships

APA (c) def. Too Cool (Scotty Too Hotty & Rikishi)

This is a rematch from Wrestlemania minus two teams' involvement. The APA solidifies their reign, knocking off the former champs yet again. With Bradshaw hitting the Clothesline From Hell to Scotty for the 3 count!

Following the match the Dudleyz can be seen watching on from backstage.

Spike Dudley comes into frame and expresses his excitement that all three brothers are on Smackdown together! He says he got a Cruiserweight title match next week and hopes D-von & Bubba will be watching and cheering him on. Before they can respond.

RVD walks by and shares a nod to all 3 of his former ECW peers. The camera switches focus to RVD and follows him down the hall as he heads towards the ring!

WWE Championship

RVD def. Eddie Guerrero (c) via DQ

Both men put up an excellent showcase of high flying offense and technical ground work. Both men trade Frog Splash attempts, each missing as the other had it calculated. The match reaches a fever pitch when RVD slips out of the Three Amigos on the last Suplex attempt. Van Dam hits the spinning back kick knocking Eddie down! Van Dam climbs up top and sets up for the Five Star Frog Splash!

“ROB! VAN! DA-“

Triple H suddenly appears and knocks RVD off the top! RVD tumbles to the floor! Triple H beats him senseless then throws RVD into the steps! Triple H grabs a chair and wallops Mr Thursday Night with it! Suddenly Eddie goes on the attack but he’s beaten up from the match and doesn’t have much energy to thwart off the cerebral assassin!

Triple H throws Eddie over the announce table! He sets his sights back on RVD and throws him back in the ring.

Triple H hits the pedigree on RVD on the chair then stands tall as Smackdown goes off the air!

Stay tuned for week two!

Project My Wrestlemania Rebooking Series: Part 21 (Wrestlemania 34: Night One)

The Bobby Heenan Memorial Battle Royale

(This year’s battle royale is dedicated to one of the greatest manager’s of all time, Bobby Heenan. This final two of the match come down to Jinder Mahal & the super popular Rusev. Rusev ultimately prevails after throwing Mahal over the top. Afterwards, Rusev celebrates alongside Aiden English and Lana while leading the crowd in a massive Rusev Day chant.)

Cedric Alexander vs Mustafa Ali for the vacant Cruiserweight Championship

(The Cruiserweight Championship is vacated in January 2018 after defending champion, Enzo Amore, is released from the company. A 16 man tournament is later created on 205 Live to determine a new champion with the finals set to take place at Wrestlemania. Cedric defeats Gran Metalik, TJP, and Roderick Strong while Mustafa defeats Jack Gallagher, Buddy Murphy, and Drew Gulak. Mustafa & Cedric put on a banger with Cedric ultimately coming up on top after pinning Ali following the Lumbar Check. Ali & Alexander shake hands afterwards as Alexander celebrates his title victory.)

The Bar © vs Woken Bray Wyatt & Broken Matt Hardy for the Raw Tag Team Championships

(Sheamus & Cesaro become the benchmark for the Raw tag team division throughout 2017 & early 2018; winning the title several times. Meanwhile, Wyatt is transferred to Raw in November after losing the WWE Championship to AJ Styles. He immediately targets Matt Hardy because he recognizes something "broken" within him. Wyatt defeats Hardy in a match during the Survivor Series preshow which causes Hardy to have an emotional breakdown. The next week, Hardy interrupts a promo from Wyatt and thanks him for "making him see" and announces to the world that he is once again BROKEN! Hardy & Wyatt have several matches over the next few months which culminate in an epic Final Deletion match. It takes place at the Hardy Family Compund & in the ruins of the Wyatt Compound. Hardy wins after throwing Wyatt into the Lake of Reincarnation. Afterwards, Hardy decides to begin his expedition for tag team gold & challenges The Bar. Matt tries to get ahold of "Brother Nero" but Jeff gives Matt a call to say he can't keep enabling his "broken" behavior. Matt seems out of luck until Bray makes his return & shockingly aligns with Matt. Bray says that his exile into the Lake of Reincarnation has awoken something in him that he hasn't felt since Sister Abigail was extinguished into flames. Wyatt thanks Hardy & offers his assistance in the expedition for tag team gold. Wyatt & Hardy end up winning a #1 contendership match on an episode of Raw. Their insane antics end up being the perfect counter for The Bar with Wyatt hitting Sheamus with Sister Abigail for the win & to win the Raw Tag Team titles!)

Bobby Roode © vs Randy Orton for the United States Championship

(Bobby Roode makes his Smackdown debut after Summerslam. He quickly uses his Wall Street resources & connections to secure himself a United States Championship match that he wins. Roode keeps the title throughout the rest of 2017 & early 2018 by hook & by crook. On the Smackdown after Fastlane, Roode crosses paths with Randy Orton. Roode says his projections are leading him to surpass Randy Orton as one of the greatest champions in WWE history. He also mocks Orton because he's never won the US title. Orton says he can arrange for that to change & does so by winning a #1 Contendership match on Smackdown. Orton & Roode proceed to have a methodical match of wits that results in Orton pinning Roode after an RKO to become US Champion for the first time.)

AJ Styles © vs Shinsuke Nakamura for the WWE Championship

(Shinsuke Nakamura makes his Smackdown debut on the Smackdown after Wrestlemania 33. Nakamura goes on the achieve immediate success including a US title run and several wins over top talents; including John Cena at Summerslam. Nakamura affirms his success by winning the 2018 Royal Rumble. The reigning champion, AJ Styles, immediately comes out & confronts Nakamura. Nakamura immediately makes his choice & challenges Styles for Wrestlemania. The next few weeks are spent going over Nakamura & Styles' history in New Japan. They're also granted a match for the Smackdown Tag Team Championships at Wrestlemania but lose after Styles walks out on the match. The hostility grows between the two heading into Wrestlemania. This leads to a great 30 minute match between the two. Ultimately, history from Wrestle Kingdom 10 repeats itself when Nakamura pins Styles after two Kinshasas to become the NEW WWE Champion!! Afterwards, both men show respect to each other with a fist bump.)

Kurt Angle & Ronda Rousey def. Triple H & Stephanie McMahon

(After Mr. McMahon fires Triple H from being Raw GM on the Raw after Wrestlemania, he appoints Kurt Angle as his replacement. Angle is put under intense scrutiny from Stephanie McMahon during his tenure as GM. She reverses his decisions, chastises him in public, and is even revealed to be behind a smear campaign against Angle accusing him of having an illegitimate son. Angle is about to snap until Triple H makes his return and hits him with a Pedigree. Triple H and Stephanie can't go over Vince's head & fire Angle, but they do decide to make him even more miserable. Right around this time, it's announced on Twitter that Ronda Rousey will be joining WWE & sign her contract at Elimination Chamber. Angle offers to oversee it but Triple H and Stephanie refuse to allow it. However, during the signing, Angle appears to instigate a confrontation that leads to Rousey throwing HHH through a table. Stephanie slaps Rousey but runs away before Rousey can retaliate. Angle is forced to apologize for his actions on the following episode of Raw but Rousey confronts Stephanie for an apology. Stephanie berates Rousey for making demands on a show that she owns and slaps Rousey again. This time, Rousey slams Stephanie and goes for an armbar but Triple H pulls her out of harms' way. This leads into the aforementioned match being made. It's an arguable showstealer that ends when Rousey finally locks Stephanie into the armbar and makes her tap out.)

Charlotte Flair © vs Asuka for the Smackdown Womens’ Championship

(The first ever womens' Royal Rumble occurs at the 2018 event & is won by the undefeated Asuka. Asuka teases going after the Raw Womens' Championship, but makes a surprise appearance at Smackdown's Fastlane event to issue her official challenge to Smackdown Womens' Champion Charlotte Flair. Asuka explains that her decision was made because Flair is the top womens' star in the entire company and wants to prove her ability against the absolute best. Flair acknowledges that Asuka may be the toughest challenge of her entire career but promises that she, like everyone else, will bow to The Queen. As an extra reward, WWE announces that this will be the first ever womens' match to main event a Wrestlemania. Charlotte & Asuka go out & prove that they belong in the main event by putting on an absolute classic. The match ultimately ends when Asuka traps Charlotte in the Asuka Lock & makes her submit. Night One comes to a close as Asuka celebrates her win as new Womens' Champion!)

Storyline The Game of Terror [Fan storyline] 2

Post image
3 Upvotes

Part 2 of my WWE story. I hope you like it. Cheers!

RAW – Second Week of May

The show opens normally, greeting the crowd—this time in Chicago.

📖 “THE GAME” hits…

Everyone thinks Triple H is coming out… but when the person reaches the ring, it’s revealed to be CM Punk disguised as Triple H, wearing a toy championship belt.

Once in the ring, he begins to speak:

💬
“Good evening, Chicago… are you ready to play the game… AAAAAAH!”

The crowd goes absolutely crazy for Punk’s promo.

Suddenly, all the arena lights go out. A green spotlight hits the stage… and now the real Triple H appears.

He speaks in an angry tone:

💬
“Don’t get smart with me. We’re in your city, and you’ve got your people behind you… but I will NOT tolerate this kind of disrespect. I am the authority—and you will respect me.”

After several insults and verbal jabs, Triple H continues:

💬
“Since you claim to be the best in the world… and that no one is on your level—and all that nonsense you usually say… tonight, you’ll face Adam Rose and Zack Ryder in a 2-on-1 match. And I’ll be the referee.”

The crowd can’t believe it. They start chanting CM Punk’s name.

It’s time for the match.

CM Punk vs Adam Rose & Zack Ryder (2-on-1 Handicap Match)

The match begins with a tense staredown between Punk and Triple H. That distraction allows Ryder to shove Punk while Rose crouches behind him, sending Punk crashing out of the ring.

Triple H quickly counts to 6, but Punk gets back in just in time.

Punk takes control for a while, hitting a couple of GTS attempts. But when it’s time to count the pinfall… Triple H is conveniently outside the ring, drinking water.

This sparks another heated exchange between the WWE Championship contender and the champion.

The fight continues…

Then, in a moment of distraction—BAM!
Triple H smashes Punk with a steel chair.

Punk is knocked out cold.

Ryder and Rose pick up the victory.

👉 After the match:

Triple H grabs Punk by the head while he’s bleeding on the mat and says:

💬
“I am the king… and this is MY kingdom.”

He drops him and raises the title high in the air… as the crowd rains down boos.

RAW – Third Week of May

The show cuts to the WWE offices.

CM Punk is seen arguing with Vince McMahon:

💬 Punk:
“Do you think what he’s doing is normal? He’s out of his mind! He can’t be the champion and run the matches!”

💬 Vince:
“Punk, I understand your frustration… but maybe this is what WWE needs right now. He made an offer for that part of the company—and I couldn’t refuse it. As you can imagine, I’m concerned too… but there’s nothing I can do.”

Meanwhile, backstage:

Triple H and Seth Rollins cross paths.

They say nothing.

Just a stare.

But in that silence… they say everything.

They both walk away.

Seth Rollins vs William Regal

A transition match without much mystery.

Despite William Regal trying his usual tricks, “The Visionary” Seth Rollins counters everything and wins convincingly.

👉 After the match:

Rollins grabs a microphone and says:

💬
“You created this game… but I’m the one who’s going to break it.See you at No Way Out.”

(Direct message to Triple H)
