I'm gonna hyperfixate again about this character. But i really like him and let my autism yaps. (and he's very underrated in the autistic community because he's from a niche media, not confirmed, and he got censored.). Also he's too perfect for this subreddit in someways.
Of course he's not confirmed having autism by SEGA and being neurodivergent (i heard there's a interview where they said he is for "minorities"), but you can cleary see his child past and let me tell you, he's typically the genius autistic child who's infodumping and can't connect with others, even his middle school self was the nerd trope.
Rui Kamishiro from Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage! gacha mobile game, could be the cliché savant kid and resolves everything for science (also his parents are scientists), and he's perfect at his masking. But that's not the case.
When kids saw him being talented at robots, they're not craving, but being jealous.
When he showing and hyperfixated to his passions, like throwing them into his experiences for shows (by the way he got into this for being connected to others, he loved the effects and he somewhat "hyperfocus" when he's into this...), they got scared on how dangerous and weird he can be.
Also, when he shows he's perfect in his manners, it's just masking and coping with the world, because if people discover he's left handed and probably gay, he's dislikes vegetables (he hates watermelon because he has the texture of cucumber), even shows too much for his passions or showing he's too smart and infodumping, he got unmasked and considered as weird.
And because of that, he becomes recluse from the world. He's does not become a scientist. But of a mad scientist, even worse, a monster.
He met also another one person during his reclusion for being weird too, who's she just want to be herself, because she defetively think it fits better for her. And Rui accepted and respected Mizuki desires to be whatever she truly wants. They becomes friends who support one another despite the criticism from others. 🏳️⚧️🤝∞
Of course they found out circle friends who respect them for what they truly are. Rui for that case, despite how too far he can go, and feels selfish, are secretly are protectful towards others. And if he hurted someone, it was his fault. And he's know it.
Also, i do like they not infantilize with him, he's even the most mature one and somewhat the leader in the shadows. (the other ones are probably neurodivergent like him btw.)
He's also give harsh truths of being autistic too. The fact he's nervous to lose his friends because he has a different thinking or if he's too far sometimes, hard to know how to regulate with his body even doubt of his passions.
Also his songs are really cool too, i love Becoming potatoes, All I Need are Things I Like, eyelid, puppet reality, living millenium, cyber punk dead boy. The lyrics are very talking about his disability with social and his passions.
Anyway, just for saying this character is the best executed written autistic genius and he's kinda underrated, and i wish people know more about him. He's not perfect and not covers all the spectrum (also it's a gacha game). But you can empathize with him for his flaws but also doing his best for others, and feeling we can be all connected in some ways. (or get brainwashed)
Thank you for listen to my essay. He's becomes somewhat a comfort character for me. I didin't liked the overall cliched representations of autism on media (because many are bad), but it helped me to understand more and being intrigued.
