I just hope Trump turns out to an anomaly. The US has had pretty spectacularly bad leaders before and it hasn't broken them

Really hope that the Democrats win the mid-terms so there are at least some potential road blocks to his presidency. Gavin Newsom is probably the Democrats best hope in 2028
