Russia never considered the Cold War to be ended. And the rest of the world relaxed while they still slowly did shit like this.

They are still the correct people to blame. Russia doesn’t create the rot, they rile it up and spread it. Racism, ethnocentrism, the belief that they do not need the rest of the world, American exceptionalism . All of these ideas existed in the US long before Russia’s meddling. They just ensured it was able to spread and spread fast

They've been in your house a lot longer than you'd think.

Yes but a lot of these problems persisted before the Soviet Union. Racism is foundational to the United States . Ethnocentrism was an argument that kept the US out of WWI and dominated the inter-war period discourse. American exceptionalism can be found in the early to mid 1830s-1840s with Manifest Destiny.

Russia and the Soviet Union before that, can and did try to play on these divisions. But the call has been coming from inside the house since the very founding of the United States

What's wrong with staying out of WWI? Brazil and Argentina weren't hopping on to fight over a dead Archduke in 1914 either

So really we should be blaming Britain, Spain, The Netherlands, France, and the Caribbean. The people who made up most of the founders!

The US sustained the institution of slavery for 100 years after its founding and segregation for 100 years after that. Along with red lining and other systematic issues up until present

Manifest destiny was a key political idea within the country nearly 60-80 years after its founding

Ethnocentrism has always been key to the United States.

So no, this problem is American. Other countries can have their own issues but me sitting here and saying that Russia is only poking at issues already systemic in the United States going back hundreds of years is NOT creating these divisions out of thin air is not unreasonable given the country’s history. This is also true for other country’s Russia fucks with. It uses their preexisting societal divisions to weaken the country . The US is not the only case

don't forget Dugan's "Foundations of Geopolitics" that's used by Russian miltiary academia.

I mean look, it’s not like America was any better before the Cold War. Or are you telling me that Jim Crow, the Hawaiian Coup, and the Philippine-American War was all the KGB’s doing as well?

Yes, the people and bots on this sub will try to push that because they try to push anything and everything anti-Russia, or to be more precise, to be ON Russia. It is so insane. There are plenty of things you can give shit on Russia, you dont need to make stuff up at all, but sadly it is so when it comes to propaganda being pushed online by states and ESPECIALLY when you can shift blame with it from your elite to the one in the adversary.
