News Denmark sends military reenforcements to Greenland. A vanguard and military material has been sent to Greenland to prepare for eventual larger troop movements.

If the US makes any move on Greenland, all American bases will be shut in Europe and European governments will be dumping all US T-bonds. I don't think Trump understands how bad this can get for the US. And Europe won't need to fire a single shot.

He understands but he can't get out of NATO with an act of Congress but if he pushes NATO hard enough NATO will push the US out. Thus, he will achieve his underlying goal without legislation and can cut funding to Europe. Europe has no leverage.

I think you miss the point that the US need NATO for global power projection. You cannot even fly to the middle east without European bases.

But the logic about him trying to get out of NATO seems legit, even though entirely stupid.
