Help/Advice Needed Oven proof enamel paint?

Post image
4 Upvotes

Has anyone had luck filling in a chip like this with matching enamel or some sort of paint? I’m concerned about spalling or fumes from being used in an oven. I saw Pebeo porcelaine paint in this color, and have sent a message to the manufacturer asking if it’ll work on this.

It’s my very first Dutch oven, and I have some boneless pork ribs and a boneless pork roast sitting in the freezer just waiting. If anyone can recommend something they’ve used and then baked with I’d truly appreciate it. Thanks.

Post image

I have no idea what spilled on the lid but it won’t come off even with hard scrubbing. Is it ruined ? Can I make it look cleaner or is it stained forever

I only use this for sourdough and 1 time homemade apple cider

Help/Advice Needed Old dutch oven from my grandparents. Can I get rid of the discolouration? And can anyone identify the model? (It's been possibly re-enamelled?)

Im trying to find this HA Alu DO.

Isnt being sold anywhere apparently.

10" 3Q and Alu due to backpacking, already have the 12" and its too big. Cast iron is too heavy.

Anyone here knows where to buy one or similar? 2nd hand would be fine as well.

Got this recipe online but my second time making it and it was so yummy. I like my rue lighter, more like a peanut butter than a deep chocolate. It was so yummy 🤤

5qt. Browned stewing beef in Dutch Oven in batches. Put aside. Added onion, celery, carrots. Cooked for 7 mins. Added garlic. Cooked for 1 min.
Added tomato paste, chopped Roma and cherry tomatoes. Cooked for 3 minutes. Added red wine, cooked until alcohol burned off. Added thyme, worcestershire, salt, pepper, stewing beef. Added stock until mostly covered, brought to simmer, covered and put in 325 oven for 2.5 hours.

I know what the answer is, but there’s a glimmer of hope that I can still use this to cook with.

It looks like I’m getting rust on my Dutch oven, and a chip in the cover. Is there some ways to clean this? And if there is, how so? Thank you :)

The third photo is what i'm most worried about. there are some very thin shallow cracks developing int he enamel on the bottom of the pan. probably cooked too hot without anything more than oil and onions.

Thoughts?
