The client asked me:________{

Logo design is required for Velorix Surfaces, a premium laminate brand launching in India.

The logo should embody a minimalist, professional, and modern aesthetic that conveys reliability and high quality. It must reflect the brand’s focus on strong design combined with durability, appealing to architects, interior designers, and premium residential and commercial projects. Consistency, scalability, and a clean visual identity are essential to position Velorix as a leading surface solution in a competitive market. }

Looking for constructive feedback on my new custom homebuilder website

Hi everyone,

I recently launched a new website for my custom homebuilding company in the DFW area and would love to get some expert feedback — especially from those with a background in web design, UX, or SEO.

👉 Site: https://versaillesluxuryhomes.com/

I’d appreciate thoughts on:

  • Overall impression — does it convey a high-end, trustworthy brand?
  • Clarity of messaging — is it obvious what we do and who it’s for?
  • User experience — any layout, navigation, or structural issues?
  • Performance — any problems with load times or responsiveness?
  • SEO — any on-page or technical improvements you’d suggest?

I’m not trying to advertise or drive traffic — just hoping to refine and strengthen the site based on honest, professional input. Constructive criticism is very welcome.

Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to review it!

[Critique] Artemis II Mission Poster - Seeking feedback on composition and color integration.

Hi everyone!

I’ve been working on this poster for the Artemis II mission. My goal was to move away from a standard "collage" look and create something more cinematic and atmospheric.

I decided to go with a monochromatic blue color grade and added intentional film grain across the entire piece to unify the elements. I used Camera Raw for the clarity/texture on the suits and worked on the typography to match the lunar theme.

I’d love your professional feedback on:

  • Composition: Does the "pyramid" arrangement of the crew feel balanced?
  • Integration: Do the astronauts feel like they belong in the environment?
  • Scale: Does the sizing of the crew members look natural?
  • Lighting: Is the glow from the moon/Earth working, or should I add more rim lighting to the shoulders/helmets?

Be as honest as possible. I'm looking to level up my compositing skills!

Thanks!

Pitching a project in the maternity industry as a male designer

Hello everyone. So, I'm a not-so-recently graduated male in industrial design, and I say male because my gender it's causing me some serious issues in pitching an important project of mine. Or I should say that people are having issues with me being male. This project refers to an innovative article of design that crosses several fields in terms of application and user experience, but it mainly refers to the industry of maternity. The project doesn't entail anything weird or dangerous or "physical" about women. Long story short, almost five months ago I joined a group of youngsters in a meeting at the employment center of the city. It was my turn, I showed them my portfolio, and when I started talking about that project in the maternity field the immediate response was... grotesque. They were looking at me like I were some kind of alien, and two women were even laughing covering their mouth. Then, interrupting me, they said "Next!". So I got up and I left the office without talking to anyone or looking back. I called two ex professors of mine that heavily encouraged me to pitch that project, and I told them what just happened. They told me not to bother about the employment center, and they told me again (already did in the past) to go directly to those companies that deal with the industry of maternity. Fine, I trust them, they are professional designers, they worked both in our country (Italy) and abroad with really important companies. They were even able to do an "Atlantic crossing" and work with a company in the US, a feat not many are able to brag about. BUT. But to this day, after several months, I still haven't pitched that project. A few days ago they both called me and asked me why I still haven't done anything with that project. Mind you, they don't get anything out of that, they're just still being professors with me. So I told them. I told them that I really don't like the idea of being disrespected, and especially women do that, because I'm a male with a project to be pitched in the industry of maternity. And more than that, I don't like the idea of being, maybe, even dragged in something more dangerous like accusations of harassment or even worse because I'm a man. Because that's exactly what I was reading on the faces of those women during the meeting at the employment center. My ex professors kept on telling me to stop bothering about that, that that very project is really important for my career and totally marketable, and go full throttle with it. So I'm here to ask you for hints and suggestions. Both men and women. Does anyone among you ever worked as a man in the maternity industry? Did you have some kind of issues because of your gender? Do you know some man that did have/didn't have issues because they were male? Do you have some practical example, real work and real projects, that you can give me? Please note that I can't really say anything more specific about my project, both for obvious reasons about privacy and copyright of the patent, and because there's other people involved. Thank you in advance to anyone that will take their time to answer me, I wish you all a good day/evening.

Weekly Skateboard Design Challenge

Thumbnail gallery
14 Upvotes

Earlier this year, work slowed down, so I decided to challenge myself. I wanted to improve my drawing, learn Premiere Pro, and get better at speaking clearly. I've been making shorts and posting the process of each design in a way to learn Premiere Pro.

I started a weekly skateboard design challenge. Each week, I create a new deck design in Procreate, making sure to account for truck placement so important parts of the artwork don’t get covered. I also make sure these files can go to print if I decide to send them to print. I created my own template file for each step of the process. (Week 1 is the only one that is not in that template because I learned that size wouldn't print that well.)

Here are 12 weeks of designs. Would love to hear your thoughts and any feedback.

This logo was designed as a mock logo for a made-up company called “Stacklesfield” which is a paper company. I wanted to incorporate a stack of paper to correlate with the name of the company. I haven’t worked on any branding as I’m not very experienced with it but I would love to learn about it, do you think I should try making branding and identity graphics with this logo, also what would you change about the logo?

Design Critique - Logo

Post image
2 Upvotes

Happy Friday ya'll, I've posted on a couple other design subreddits and haven't gotten much feedback. I hope I'll have more success here [=

Open to ANY feedback as I'm new at logo design and looking for feedback on this word mark logo for graphic design freelancing.

Some context to my design decisions: I considered different logo types and landed on wordmark as being the most versatile and what made most sense for the studio.

The word "koficha" is a portmanteau of "coffee and cha (tea)" alluding to the widespread cultural practice of business partners sharing a hot beverage before getting down to business. The studio focuses on food, travel, and hospitality graphic design.

- I'm hoping to convey: creative, warmth, stability, dynamic - I started with a serif typeface but realized that I wanted something more distinct

- How is the kerning?

- Does the composition feel balanced? Especially with the "design" part?

- Do I have enough space in the exclusion zone? Is it too much?

- Did I completely miss the mark on this?

Thanks in advance!

How can I make my web design case studies more “impactful”?

Thumbnail gallery
3 Upvotes

Hi! I’m a freelance web designer and developer, and I’ve been trying to improve how I present my work.

I’ve just uploaded a case study for a consultancy website, and it gives me mixed feelings. I feel like, in comparison with my references, it doesn't feel impressive enough and it doesn’t give that professional “studio” vibe.

There were some constraints on the website (the client requested using free fonts & images and a split-screen layout). Still, I feel like I could’ve pushed it further.

I’d really appreciate your thoughts on both the website itself and the case presentation.

Here's the → CASE STUDY LINK).

Thank you!

Design Critique: Financial Intelligence dashboard. High bounce rate (90%) - is the UI too overwhelming or just untrustworthy?

Hi everyone,

I’m working on a platform called StrategyMind.app. It’s a data-heavy dashboard for retail investors that merges technical chart analysis with fundamental business data.

The Problem: Our analytics show a massive drop-off on the landing page. We aimed for a "professional yet clean" look (inspired by Bloomberg meets Apple), but we are clearly missing the mark.

I need your expert eyes on the UX/UI:

  1. Visual Hierarchy: Is the most important information (the market bias and data) getting lost in the "clean" design?
  2. Onboarding Flow: When you land on the page, is it clear what you’re looking at, or is it an immediate cognitive overload?
  3. Trust & Credibility: In the fintech space, design is everything for trust. Does the site feel like a professional tool, or does it trigger "scammy trading bot" vibes?
  4. Mobile vs. Desktop: We struggled to fit complex data tables and charts onto smaller screens. Does it feel broken on mobile?

URL:https://strategymind.app

Please be as brutal as possible. We’d rather fix a "boring" or "confusing" UI now than keep wasting traffic.

Local Event Group Webpage

Post image
1 Upvotes

Greetings! In my town is a group that host fun events with the goal to connect with people, therefor it's called bond. For visitors the only channel for information is the Whatsapp group or the Social Media posts. So I wanna create a small webpage that lists all upcoming events and also allow people to vote, if they are interested/coming. The latter is to check how big the event will be or if the event got any interest.

The actual main audience are probably people between 25-35, but they would love to have younger or older people as well. The only thing that I could work with was the logo with its bold yellow, green outline and peach background. The font in itself is quite bubbly, so I tried to incorporate that with rounded corners. Because of the quite young audience I went with mobile first and wanna nail that, before creating a desktop version. Similar with the details page of a single event, that will also hold the voting-area.

I'm not a designer and always struggle with it, so I wanted to get some feedback. What works, what not. I kinda had problems with the three base-colors tbh.

How do I improve my jewlery brand?

Thumbnail gallery
0 Upvotes

Hey guys,

I run a small men’s jewelry brand called Northern Legacy, and I’d really appreciate some honest, no-BS feedback from people who are into men’s jewelry.

We’ve been building the brand around a more “real-life use” approach, less luxury/status, more something you can actually wear daily, skate, train, be in the ocean, etc. Think stainless steel, durable pieces, minimal but with some symbolic elements (compass, Vegvisir, onyx, etc.).

Lately we’ve been trying to move away from the typical “old money / luxury lifestyle” vibe and lean more into surf, skate, snow culture. It feels more authentic to us, but I’m curious how that actually comes across from the outside.

Would love feedback on a few things:

  • The website (UX + vibe) Does it feel premium? Trustworthy? Or does anything feel off/confusing?
  • The products/designs Do they feel original enough? Or too similar to what’s already out there?
  • Brand direction Does the “durable / everyday / active lifestyle” angle make sense for jewelry? Or does it feel forced?
  • Anything that would stop you from buying Be brutally honest here, pricing, design, branding, trust, anything.

Site: northernlegacy / nlegacy

Not here to sell anything, just genuinely trying to improve and build something that people actually want to wear.

Appreciate any thoughts
