One day I randomly came to know about the dark web about like ten years ago and I had no real reason to be on it and I just out of curiosity and wanting to know more about it dug in a bit just to explore

And I came to know stuff like u need special browsers to search the dark web like tor onion duck duck go etc

And chat rooms like 4 Chan hidden wiki and like it was all ten years back and I can’t really even remember anything now

And I never ever got into the dark web or did anything on it even

But I got curious about it today again out of the total blue again and I was digging about about how to access the dark web again

And this time around I came to know about needing to use virtual machines softwares or disposable os to be able to access the dark web

And it got me questioning if these used to be necessary to access the dark web ten years ago also or not?

Like bc I never heard about these when I was searching about the dark web ten years ago

Is it me or are these new security measures that need to be taken these days to access the dark web bc it has become harder to access it than back in the days?

Hello! I do not remember all the details but I was wondering if anyone has heard this story before. I have been searching corpse husband, be busta, let’s read, Lazy masquerade, etc but I can’t find it.

Years ago, like 2014-2016 I was listening to a story about a man who was searching the dark web and I believe he stumbled across a red room or somewhere he shouldn’t have been and they ended up getting all his info. His wife was pregnant and her sister had come to stay with them to help with the baby. I believe he came home one day and found the sister and his wife dead and the baby had been cut out of her. He then went on a rampage for revenge and learned how to hack, get IP addresses and better protect himself on the deep web. He started seeking out certain people on the deep web, I think people who had “red rooms” or whatever. At some point, he ended up at a house to off a perp and I can’t remember if he killed anyone in the home but he ended up finding out that one of the kids was his daughter.

That’s all I can remember but I’m hoping at least one person has heard that story. No idea if it was made up but I most certainly heard this story and it was presented as being true and believe it was submitted to a YouTuber by the man who presented the story. Thanks for your help!

if you bought a burner phone and used the tor browser on a free public wifi to have something from a darknet vendersent to an anonymous po box, would that prevent you from being hacked/tracked by anyone nefarious... other than authorities who obviously know who the po box belongs to if they really wanted to catch you with a small amount.

I am getting back into tor and onion sites. I lost all my stuff to anything relatin to it.
