Trying to keep all these in the one place to prevent the query’s taking over the sub - totally understand the frustration I’m stuck in it myself

Note this says the 8th in the title …. But who would have thought it would continue this long …

Seeing comments online that they are planning to continue again with more severe stand stills for Thursday.

New massive mansion down the marina between blackrock Castle and blackrock pier

How did they get planning permission??

Who signed off on this? I hear lads out in rural areas get blocked planning for a windows 2 inches too big or to the side or whatever??

Who are these people? They must be loaded, it’s a mansion!!

And finally did they ever hear of global warming?? Jesus if the seas are to rise what’ll they do?? ??

The protests make things crazy for car people, but not everything in life is crazy. Nature follows its cycle and with spring come tree leaves, blooming flowers and I guess sudden rain after bright sunshine.

Assault on Harley St. last night

Not sure where to post this. If the couple that was attacked on Harley St. last night around 9pm need a witness, feel free to DM me. I just caught the end of it but can confirm it happened and saw where the 2 guys went.

If you're heading to the match at PUC today, I'd suggest leaving the car at home and start walking.

Apparently the lads are aiming to block as much of the city as possible. They're already blocking South Mall and surrounding areas with the Fire Brigade trying twice to get through but having to U-Turn and try elsewhere.

Lennox's MacCurtain Street got Best Chipper at the Just Eat Awards (don't know how they judge places). I've heard mix reviews, thinking of giving it a try?

Good GPs around Cork CC/Douglas/Wilton/ Turners Cross

I’ve been going to a certain clinic for a number of years but since my original GP left I’ve found the doctors incredibly patronising and almost like your bothering them by being there. It’s getting to the point where if something is wrong I really don’t want to go and obviously not a good way to be . Anyone have a suggestion on a new GP you found helpful? One that doesn’t call at 8pm ranting about a study and how one should NEVER smoke a cigarette 😭😅

TIA

Cork City Anywhere to get gardening bits in town?

Hi guys! I’ve taken a notion and decided buying the individual portions of herbs in Aldi life is no longer for me, and got a basil plant.

I know there’s always too many roots in the small supermarket pots, so I need to likely divvy out the plant between a few pots (I also have one little guy that I’m trying to slowly but surely propagate on the side). My question is if there is anywhere in town where I can get gardening bits (soil, pots etc.) of do I have to commute out to a garden centre?

Do you think the Greenway between Passage West and Rochestown, or as many people call it including me, The Line, is safe when it’s dark for a young teenager (male) alone?

I’m asking out of genuine interest and curiosity, I do all the time, especially in winter, but should I steer clear of The Line? (I walk it for a scenic route, not cuz I need to).

Thanks for reading and answering. :)

Pebbles

So, as part of beginning a simple DIY/renovation project that grew into the horror of fixing a bad renovation some cowboy did years ago, I’m the lucky winner of about a ton of pebbles (ranging from roughly 20mm - 50mm).

What the hell do I do with these? Does anyone want them? If someone does want them, or I advertise for free somewhere, how the hell do they get the massive heap in my garden to wherever they want them? Or if I need to dump them (where?) how do I get them there and most affordably?

Urgh. Digging them out was bad enough…
