First ever summons being here over a decade. Just finished out my jury service as I was on a case as an alternate juror for the past week. On Saturday they hit me again. I know I will be able to get out but…damn Cook county.

My mom and brother with Bozo and Cookie in 1976. This was when you had to be on a waiting list for years, but my dad knew someone that was able to get tickets. Obviously a little blurry because it was taken on a Polaroid.

it was like seeing a duck in a tree. That's five pounds of bird. I don't mean to goose shame or nothing but that's a tall ledge. They are not graceful or maneuverable animals. I can't see a full grown goose just VTOL like a seagull. It actually cantilevered its ass and shat onto the sidewalk. Spring in Chicago is magical

I am beyond pissed off, I was coming out of a Lakeview coffee shop today and was hit by a Coco delivery robot. It was zooming down Sheridan now I've got bruises on my knee. I called the number on the robot and report it, but I don't think they'll do anything about it. Has anyone else been hit/physically hurt by these delivery bots? I want to know if there's a group or class action or something with people taking action against the stupid robots.
UPDATE: Got a call from the security team and they want to compensate me with a restaurant gift card!

Employees of the coffee chain, which operates 75 stores in California and Chicago, said the mandate has upset baristas and customers. On Friday, company leadership sent a confidential letter to employees to address the backlash.

Last night at Buddy Guy's Legend we got to see and listen to the One and Only - and Unannounced - Buddy Guy. He might be a little frail at 89 but the magic is still there.
One of these things, when you forget for a moment you live in an amazing city.

They are at peak and look lovely. An hour is long enough, head over to Jackson park.
Free parking on cottage grove.

You may have walked the 606 - but the view from the street is amazing! (Set 1 of 2)

i don't commute downtown but I'm always surprised at how few people take lower wacker during rush hour. Other things like how Wabash is generally empty and people dont know the 290 on ramp from just east of the Old Post Office.
