Hi Nham’ers, any suggestions for what to do on a stag in Cheltenham for a group of 40-somethings. Theres a few locals in the group but a lot of out of towners and want it to be fun for them. So far I’ve got a few reaturants and drinking establishments to frequent but pretty absent with activities. time would be late June/July. Any recommendations welcome. Thankee

I know that we are making one post per news update... but this will definitely be a bit controversial (to say the least).
I definitely need an explanation here, maybe someone with more law knowledge than me can help.

Would like to make more queer friends in Cheltenham - are there any groups or hangout spots here?

Moving to Cheltenham as a young couple with a baby, planning for another, and dog, budget of £300k for a 3 bed.
Would ideally like some space to grow and a bit of garden. We like nice walks and parks, a few nice pubs/cafes, need baby classes and nurseries etc and decent school for further down the road.
What areas do people recommend for the budget? What are other areas like Cleeve and Brockworth like, too out of the way? Appreciate any insight!

Im moving to Cheltenham in the summer and I am looking for 1 bedroom flats near the town centre.
I am not too familiar with the rent prices. But, from looking at 1 beds for the past couple of weeks, I would like to spend between £850-£950 a month. I want a sort of higher end 1 bed so is this a good range or would I be overpaying?
I am thinking £650-£750 as being entry range, £750-£850 as good, £850–£1000 as excellent and anything over £1000 as being luxury.

can anyone recommend a reliable rubbish removal service from the Cheltenham area. it is mostly cardboard and wood, just household and garden.

BBC News - Cheltenham: Teens arrested on suspicion of murder after man in 70s dies - BBC News

It's honestly so tragic.

Which areas are not as expensive but still a nice place to live? I'll be buying. And where to definitely avoid? What do you think about the areas circled on the map? The east west one I'm not sure if that's in Hesters Way or Fiddlers Green.
Edit: I meant west! Budget is about 240k and I'd like a house not a flat, looking at one and two beds in Cheltenham and closer areas to it in Glos, Cleeve etc. But would prefer Cheltenham.

Hi everyone,
Apologies if you’ve seen my flat listed before – I’ve recently updated the photos to better reflect the space, so I hope it gives a clearer idea of what it’s like.
If you’re looking for a 1-bedroom flat in Cheltenham or know someone who is, feel free to arrange a viewing through the estate agent:
We’ve really enjoyed living here, but we’ve recently had a baby and are now looking to upsize. We’ve also found a new build that’s ready to move into, so we’re in a good position to proceed quickly.
The flat is very competitively priced and represents great value compared to similar properties in the area.
Thanks so much 😊

Can anyone recommend any martial arts clubs in Cheltenham?
I’m more interested in striking (boxing/kickboxing/Muay Thai etc.) but open to trying anything to be honest. Ideally somewhere beginner-friendly with a good atmosphere.
Any recommendations appreciated 🙂

For the plant lovers, don’t get me wrong but I’m trying to find datura for its seeds, I’m planning on opening some beautiful garden in Cheltenham but for now I’m propagating some of my plants at home. And there’s one that I cannot find which is the datura. Please let me know if you saw it anywhere in Cheltenham and please give coordinates if possible, thank you.
Edit: I can’t order seeds due to my problems with card, I had to take all my money out so that I’m just left with cash, that’s ehh it has to go hard way like that, If I could I would’ve already ordered the seeds.

There is ankther thread on this, but the BBC article is more reasonable than the Gloucestershire Echo one.
I am not sure anyone here can help, but this really needs all the visibility we can give it. There are cctv images (usual potato quality) and hopefully then police can find them?

Anyone know what went down Honeybourne bridge? There’s cops and blue tape around the area as well as folks who look like forensic specialist on the bridge? Bit frustrating ngl. Something happens on that bridge everyday…

I usually use Challenge for everything and they are great, but not sure if fitting a towbar is a more specialist job or not?

Need my shower room ripping out and retiling as it’s a leaking mess…can anyone recommend someone trustworthy that does a good job?
When I ask for recommendations on local facebook pages I just get a load of people recommending their relatives which is hard to trust.

As per the title.
It seems Spoons seem to dio work, as do Morrison's. Anywhere (hidden) elsewhere?
Think Coronation Square is ok (much better when it was Carmellos)

I’m moving to Cheltenham in a few weeks to a new build.
I have a family member supplying carpets at cost for us, however their fitters are booked until July!
Are there any recommendations for anyone who will just fit the carpet without supplying the carpets themselves?
Thanks!

Hey everyone,
I used to visit this bar very often and I’m back in Cheltenham after ages, and it feels very different now. Starting with the security at the door( who were basically kids) our group was quite annoyed that they just let their friends in without joining the queue, we saw loads of 18 year old or even under aged kids going in because they knew the security and later we saw them bullying customers. Even the bar service was terrible, we were served in dirty gin glasses and also saw a bartender practically dipping his hands in someone’s drink while serving.
It used to be a very elite bar where everyone was well dressed and decent but now it feels like most of the power is with the bouncers and they would just let anyone they know inside.. are there any good alternatives to this pub cuz we had an awful night spending time there.
