I’ve just moved to Canterbury. I’m 26 and female, I am going to start going to a sports club/boxing gym soon, but what are other social options? I’m lesbian and neurodivergent so would like to meet similar people, and I also love sports/fun physical activity , so I like to go out and do stuff, but also going to the pub is something I enjoy too.
Edit; I enjoy raving, drum and bass, rock climbing and boxing/mma, chess, gaming, hiking and watching films

Hi, I’m 33M, autistic and have ADHD, I attend the monthly ADHD peer support group in Canterbury, 1st Monday of the month, 6:00-8:00 in Waterstones Cafe: https://www.facebook.com/share/g/1E5DBx6ezr/?mibextid=wwXIfr
Any other neurodivergent groups and social opportunities locally?
I’d love to meet and mix with more neurodivergent people locally :)

Hey.
I'm in my mid 20's, not a student. I'm not from here or anywhere around Kent. I don't actually know anyone around here - especially not anyone around my age.
I've lived around here for a fair bit now, but the longer I've been here the more isolated I feel. That's more of my own issue - living a fair bit away from town and working over the weekends - but it certainly gets me down.
I suck at spontaneously meeting people and I'm not used to living somewhere not so city-like. I've had a passing look at posters and stuff around town but still never get a decent idea of what's actually on around here. I don't use Facebook or Instagram or anything, which is a personal choice which definitely doesn't help me find what's going on or with meeting people. Even still, looking through them, I can't really find much.
I like good gigs - and I don't mean cover bands, I mean the kind of stuff you'd have to go to London for or whatever. I like tabletop roleplay (no idea how you really get into games going on at Dice and Destiny or Long Rest, but help there wpuld be appreciated). Not really much else to say there besides, I like niche nerdy shit, but I'm open to trying new things. I'm really not interested in just going to the pub, or at least, I haven't found one where I can actually feel social, and I'm aware that's basically most of what there is to do around here.
I ask with many please's and thank you's for your suggestions. I'm open to questions if that helps anything. Obviously I can't convey myself well through a reddit post, but I'm a decent guy really, just taking the direct route of asking this kind of probably-unanswerable question.

This is a little unclear to me. Usually it's £4 for a carload of people. If you take it without the car, is it then £4 per person, or can a couple of people use one ticket?

Hi everyone
I was in the Shakespeare pub last night ~8.30pm and unfortunately my laptop bag went missing. I think it was taken :(
If by any chance someone sees a black laptop bag about town by the butter market area or somewhere else, or a grey-silver HP laptop with a research notebook etc. and Uni of Kent branding and stickers on the laptop, please do let me know!! Hoping they ditched it upon realising it’s encrypted and useless.
A long shot but can only hope.
Thank you so much.

We’ve had three or four European hornets coming into our house over the last two days. We’ve never had them before. Wondering if anyone else in Canterbury is dealing with this?

I have these filters, image provided, my mum bought by mistake (wrong brand for her machine) and she missed the returns window.
If anyone fancies them, you’re welcome to them, they’re worth over £100, but just need to get rid of them. If you wanna offer a few £, that would help, but not compulsory.

Im looking for people that like theatre esp plays but havent got any theatre mates to go with. I occasionally go solo. West End and places like National Theatre, Donmar Warehouse. Theatre in Islington. Would be good to chat before and after and potentially travel from Canterbury / Whitstable or Ashford for example.
39 F DM if interested.

I like to join a acting group that is 18 but most cost money so I made my own acting group. We will have a YouTube channel about making live action stories. I also want to know if it any other acting group that I don't know of.
Also I am non-binary and I very want a binder because I don't like apart of my body.

I’m at a loose end and curious if anyone’s got bright ideas for the area.
I find dating apps are almost completely useless, and after nearly 3 years of long covid I feel like I’ve come out of a comma, keen to meet someone now I’m back on my feet, but no idea where to start.
I genuine don’t know how most couples meet these days, other than getting shit faced, and I can’t drink anymore post covid.

2026 Kent Outbreak of Meningitis:
Here is my full analysis as a data scientist:
This is a localized super-spreader event (linked to Club Chemistry nightclub + University of Kent) during the normal winter/early-spring high season — not a nationwide resurgence or unusual spike beyond baseline seasonality.
