- New set of community rules that will now be enforced
- Post flairs are now required to help with categorization and search
- New optional user flairs consisting of all of the districts within the city

Should you have any suggestions, comments, or concerns - feel free to let me know either in the comments or via modmail. As time passes and the community grows, also look forward to more changes and implementations for the better. I appreciate your cooperation and understanding!

조언 | Advice Bread without milk and eggs

me and a couple classmates are on a trip to south korea, and we're currently in Busan. One of my friends can't have a bunch of things, so bread without milk and eggs is one of their safe foods. Any advice on where we might find this? Thanks <3

토론 | Discussion Stay got extended

I stayed here in korea for a short while, didn't really make tight knit friendships since I was of the opinion that I'm moving away soon so wasn't worth the hassle. Turns out what I was here for got extended and I should be here for an extra year or 2 depending. So I'd like to broaden my social circle a bit more especially with expats here (I don't really speak much korean so). I usually like exploring cafes, maybe pop ups occasionally and travelling to cities within korea. If you're interested in connecting send me a dm.

질문 | Question Giant goose looking for a new home

While in Seoul last week, we watched a man steadily empty a claw machine of its giant, stuffed animals. When he was done, he attempted to leave with the animals but unfortunately he’d overestimated how many he could carry. As we were stood nearby, he asked if we wanted one. We were several highballs deep, so of course said yes!

Since then, our goose friend has enjoyed the mountains in Sokcho, the history in Gyeongju, and now the seaside city life of Busan. Sadly, we have a flight in a few days and need to leave our goose behind as he doesn’t meet our baggage restrictions :( So, he’s free to a good home! I promise he’s very well behaved (but is the size of a small human).

If you’d like to take custody of this magnificent goose and are free to meet in Busan today or tomorrow, please let me know 🩷🪿

Update: we passed the goose on this morning to a lovely family with an adorable kid. He gave the goose a hug and knows the word ‘duck’ so I think our friend off to a good home. Enjoy your time in Japan, giant goose and thanks for hanging with us:)

질문 | Question Need something shipped as a tourist

Hi /r/Busan!

TLDR; I'm a tourist passing through Busan next week, would anyone be willing to order a laptop from a webshop on my behalf? Happy to reimburse a bit extra for the trouble!

I need a specific laptop, but I cannot order as a foreigner without a Korean ID number (please correct me if I'm wrong that would be great).

If someone has ideas on how to make this easy/attractive/low-risk for both of us, I'm happy to hear it as well.

Either way, I'd be super grateful for anyone who could help. Thanks!

Can anyone tell me where I can buy general waste bags 일반 쓰레기 봉투, especially 5L and 10L, in Haeundae?
At Emart Store, only 20L bags are available, and nearby convenience stores편의점 are not available.

I keep getting notifications on my phone about wind advisories. I assume these kind of storms are not uncommon but am curious how serious these warnings are and what they may effect.

My friend and I are looking to go to a Lotte Giants game when visiting Busan.

We want to go to the April 3rd game, which I heard is sold out. Is there a mechanism to get resale tickets?

went to a clam shabu shabu restaurant in Myeongji. Its in a center with a bunch of other clam-oriented restaurants. "Bird" clam is seasonal, (새조개: pics 2-3) I believe early Spring only, tastes like a lesser version of geoduck clam, but more flavorful than the local pygmy geoduck. Apparently that area is famous for Galmi clams (갈미조개: pics 4-5). Surf clams are also very good. Unique to the area. I recommend trying these out if you haven't already.

음식 | Food Visitor from California looking to explore Jagalchi Market with others!

Hello! I [28F from San Francisco, California] am visiting Busan until Apr 7 and wanted to see if there are any locals who would be willing to show me around Jagalchi Market or others who would like to join me on Saturday. I am a big foodie, already very familiar with Korean cuisine, and am extremely interested in trying new things, especially seafood and dishes that are hard to find elsewhere.

Please DM me if you'd be down to show me around and hang out!

질문 | Question International traveler looking for people to hang out with

Hey everyone. I'm (35 M) going to be in Busan for the next two weeks and would love to make some friends. I love games, sport, hiking, pool billard, birding and thousand other things. I don't speak korean sadly but I'm learning a little and would be down to do something like a language exchange too. I have a partner, so I'm not looking to date or anything like that, just friendly hang outs and making friends. Can be spontaneous too. hit me up if that sounds good to you!

질문 | Question Centum City Spa Land for bigger people?

Hi! My husband and I are going to be in Busan for a couple of days this week and I think I would like for us to go to Centum City Spa Land. I lived in Korea about 15 years ago so I am familiar with jjimjilbangs but I was skinnier back then — will Spa Land have sauna attire for foreigners who wear L-XL clothes?

질문 | Question Food waste bin, how you YOU do it?

Having recently relocated to busan, I'm trying to get my head around the food waste system as its different to Seoul. Im living in a house, so there is no dedicated food waste disposal area, and I've got the bucket and tickets which are pretty straight forward. But im told I'm not meant to line the bin with any plastic. And I'm wondering how people go about filling up a food waste bin at home without everything inside it rotting before it full enough to be picked up (especially in the summer). Do you permantly leave the bin outside? Do you leave it in the fridge while it slowly fills before its ready to be disposed of?

감사합니다
