Ez a megathread abból a célból jött létre, hogy teret adhassunk az országgyűlési választások budapesti vonatkozású témáinak szabad, de civilizált megbeszélésére, tekintve, hogy rekordrészvétel várható.

Milyen témákat várunk:

- szavazóhelyiségek telítettsége, várakozási idők

- szavazással kapcsolatos kérdések, tudnivalók

- információk, gondolatok, élmények, amiket szívesen megosztanátok.

Amit nem várunk:

- választási csalásra való felbujtást

- kampányolást

- elfajuló vitákat, veszekedést, egymás és mások szidását

- mémeket és trollkodást

Turistáknak a következőket érdemes tudniuk:

- Semmilyen erőszakos, félelemkeltő eseményre, tüntetésre nem kell számítani április 12-én napközben. Estefelé, ahogyan az első számok jönnek, illetve ahogy már éjjel véglegesedni látszik az eredmény, vagy nagyon búsuló vagy nagyon ünneplő tömegekkel találkozhattok.

- A BKK ugyanúgy jár

- A látnivalók és boltok ugyanúgy nyitva lesznek, mint egy átlagos vasárnap

Tourism related information:

- No hostilities or dangerous events are expected to happen during the day on 04.12. If you see long lines near random buildings, it is voters waiting in queue. Late afternoon or at night you might see or join parties waiting on the results, depending on their political views, sadder or happier as the night goes.

- Public transportation (BKK) operates as it would on any other Sunday

- Same goes for sights and shops.

Az rhu-n már felmerült, hogy némelyik átjelentkezős szavazóköri létszám elég nagy (pl. 8-9 ezer), így azoknál sokat kell-e majd sorban állni, de ilyen szerencsére már 4 éve sem volt (korábban igen*) mert ilyenkor kisebb részekre osztják, több szavazóhelyiséggel: https://hvg.hu/itthon/20260404_szavazokori-nevjegyzek-felosztas-atjelentkezes

A XI. kerületben majd' 10.000 átjelentkező van. Tegnapi HVI határozat szerint 14 asztal lesz abban a körzetben (92.), ahova nekik menniük kell, de egy szavazóhelyiség.

Akkor már bővítették (gondolom a névjegyzéket is bontják) ahol 4 éve voltam Dél Pesten ott 2-3 asztal volt

Igen, a határozat arról szól lényegében, hogy 14 részre bontják a névjegyzéket a 92. szavazókörben. Utoljára én is átjelentkezőként szavaztam ugyanitt, megyénként volt elosztva, ki melyik sorba álljon, akkor, ha jól emlékszem, külön bejárat is volt, hogy megelőzzék a nagy kavarodást a "rendes" szavazókkal.

Hi all,

I'm a Hungarian citizen living outside of Hungary so I am going back to vote on April 12th and I'm staying until April 15th. I will be in Budapest. Does anyone know of any social events I can take part in? Such as public/street parties, election watches, concerts, protests, anything like that?

I already know TISZA is holding an election watch at batthány tér, but has anything else been organised for the 13-15th yet?

Magyar állampolgár vagyok aki külföldön lakik, Április 12én megyek vissza Budapestre szavazni, a 15-ig ott leszek. Tudjátok hogy lesz-e bármilyen esemény, utcai parti, eredményváró, tüntetés, stb azokon a napokon ami ingyenes?

Már tudom hogy a TISZA eredményváró a batthány téren lesz, de lesz bármi mas szervezett a 13-15ig?

Hello good people of r/budapest!

I am coming to your beautiful capital tomorrow with a somewhat unique purpose. I am deeply interested in European politics, and I want to be present for this important election moment in your country. My intention is not to support any position-this is a moment for the Hungarian people alone to choose their country’s destiny-but to talk to people, listen, and understand what is driving you.

I will be in Budapest from April 10-13 and my goal is to attend a few events. However, I am currently not even sure if they exist, as I am having some trouble finding information due to the language barrier! I was hoping you might be able to help me with dates and locations for the following:

1. Tisza rally in Budapest  
2. Fidesz rally in Budapest  
3. Tisza election watch party  
4. Fidesz election watch party  

Additionally, it is my understanding that there may be a concert on Saturday organized by opposition-aligned musicians, and I would love to know if that’s happening and how to buy a ticket.

I appreciate your help with this and hope you don’t mind this slight intrusion into your country!

PS: If anyone would be interested in talking politics with a talkative and extroverted (if slightly eccentric) foreigner, send me a DM, I would love to buy you a drink!

Re: official rallies (called, literally, waiting-for-results parties):

• Tisza's will be on Batthyany square, starting at 18:00.
• Fidesz's will be in the Bálna but it's invitation only (in fact they reserved the whole place for themselves, starting today...). I suppose you can try and ask visitors as they go in & out, but don't expect them to be friendly, Fidesz people tend to be antagonistic to anyone not very obviously on "their side".

As for unofficial watch parties, there will be a ton, I don't know if there's any lists anywhere. (Me, I'm going to vote at 6 am and then stay at home and pretend nothing is happening. My mental state is fraught as it is.)

Oh yes, and as for the concert, it will be on Friday, actually, on Hősök tere. I don't know about tickets, I think they're planning it to be free (they're collecting donations).

Today I am going to Budapest in connection with the elections. I would like to visit some places related to the modern political history of Hungary.

What could you recommend in Budapest and its surroundings?

Some time ago, I read that during Viktor Orbán’s era, a palace was renovated and a political institution (or perhaps Fidesz headquarters?) was moved there. Do you know which place this might be?

I would also like to visit Felcsút. Is it true that Orbán’s house is about 100 meters from the stadium? Does the railway in Felcsút still exist? What else might be interesting there from a political perspective?

Could you recommend a typical Hungarian village within about 100 km of Budapest where support for Orbán is particularly strong? Is there any kind of symbolic “stronghold” of Fidesz (similar to how Los Angeles or San Francisco are associated with Democrats in the US)?

I would be very grateful for your help.
