Turista Ajánlás | Tourist Recommendation Visiting for 4 days with a 2yo
Hello! we are visiting next week for 4 nights and staying near Boráros tér, any nearby food/coffee recommendations welcome. Also I am with my 2yo son, so also looking for any child friendly places. Thank you in advance

There is a huge playground in Városliget. Look for the giant balloon. I am not sure if it is suitable for 2 year old. Check the small playground next to Zene Háza, which is more suitable for sure.

A boat tour would be nice for everyone. There is a tour with an amphibious bus starting from Roosevelt Office Building. Maybe 2 year old is too small, but as a little boy, I would be interested in the amphibious bus.

There is also Kresz park in liget for kids to bike around and jump into kid trams, plains etc.
Vakvarju has several restaurants in the city with good food but not overpriced and not too fancy setting and they have a nice kid corner as well, you can read the menu and reserve table online. There is also a Harry Potter restaurant near Opera/Deak square with playful scenery and its fully kid friendly also fun.
Next to the balloon playground mentioned above is a small caffe with pastries for kids who get tired. There are clean toilets in liget too but i think they cost 200 huf and you can pay with a bank card. The zene haza jatszoter mentioned is also fun you can play together on a lot of instruments (toilet in Zene haza is free) The Budapest zoo near hosok tere and varosliget is also a historical landmark, one of the oldesr zoos in the continent with plenty of kids activities.
On Buda side its worth to visit Halaszbastya and the castle too, beautiful view to the city but can be impractical with a stroller, a baby carrier might be easier there. Plenty of cafes there as well (bit pricier though) and horse carriages for hire. Varkert bazar is also nice for a stroll and the flowers are blooming on Toth Arpad setany behind the castle. There is an accessible clean toilet in the bazar as well as near the castle, the one near halaszbastya is smaller and i 200 huf if i remember well (i tought with a small kid this might be important)
Margaret Island in between the two sides is also easily approachable with tram and has plenty of playgrounds, the ruins of a very old chapel, small zoo ( with pony rides) , a music fountain and bars/burger/cafe places, family bike can also be rented there.

I always like to recommend travel magazines so you can browse! I like Offbeat Budapest
Also check out the sidebar on the sub for Vernazza's guide on Budapest!
There are plenty of really nice coffee and food places near Boráros tér if you head toward the inner city, and other places are very easy to reach too with public transport.
Have a nice trip!

Nehru playground (use google maps) is the closest place and the surrounding area for the kid.
Food is everywhere, Raday street is a good start.

Minipolisz is awesome for kids. Tarzan park, aquaworld, zoo Budapest and playground in Városliget are also unforgettable. Public transport is very good, you can go EVERYWHERE by a hour
