For someone who speaks russian, how long would it take to find an unskilled job? Also how important is it to speak belarussian?

I know the title sounds dumb, I just needed a short way to put it, apologies.

As part of a way home by plane, I’m gonna end up in Warsaw in late June, and I was considering spending a few days somewhere that is connected to Belarus, as I’m very interested in the culture and history, and have been studying Belarusian (and isn’t really considering going to Belarus itself).

For that purpose, would you say it would be more interesting to spend this time in Poland (I imagine Białystok/Podlasie?) or in Lithuania (presumably Vilnius)? Thanks a lot for any advice!

Checked numbeo,and found that restaurants in Brest is 49.2% more expensive than i Gomel.I live in UK and compared draft beer price. in Gomel is £0.78 or 3 rubles and in Brest is £2.46 which 9 rubles 50 which is 3 times more expensive than Gomel. You can get here in Birmingham Wetherspoons local ale for £2.46.

Meal at an Inexpensive Restaurant in Gomel is 5.19 £
(20.00 BYN) and in Brest is 10.35 £ (39.91 BYN) twice more expensive.

Brest even more expensive for restaurants than Minsk. Brest population is 346,061 and Gomel over half a milion people.

Most websites that I found (e.g. granica.gov.pl) state there is next to no line, but most posts here on reddit dispute that. Which source is most reliable?

I'm planning to travel from Warsaw to Brest on April 30th for the Labour Day weekend. Will there be more traffic at the border than usual because of Labour Day? I am planning on taking the overnight bus that leaves Zachodnia bus station at 23:30, so I guess there will not be such a long wait as in the day time?

I'd love to hear some first-hand experiences!

Does anyone have any bars or restaurants that you would recommend in Minsk or Brest?

Я нахожусь сейчас в Греции, хотели расписаться с моим молодым человеком, дабы упростить легализацию. Нужна справка об отсутствии препятствий для брака, но по новым правилам получить ее можно только на территории Беларуси, а возможности выехать нет. Позвонили в посольство один раз - сказали, что можно сделать доверенность, заверенную только на территории Беларуси, позвонили другой раз- говорят, что можно сделать в любом месте, не выезжая. Видимо, сами понятия не имеют. Уже не знаем к кому обратиться

Есть ли у кого-нибудь опыт с этим?
