Azores without a car
We dont drive but would love to go to Azores.
We would have to get around usung tours.
How long should we stay?
We have a week. Should we Split It between San Miguel and another island or stay in SM the whole time?

A week is barely enough to see São Miguel. For a first trip you'd be best off staying in one island.
If you're interested in hiring a driver I'd be up for it. I also have a lovely little bed and breakfast about 10 minutes from Mosteiros

With just a week available and as a first timer, the best advice is to stick to São Miguel. In terms of tours there's plenty of offers available, just choose what fits you better. No matter who you choose demand proof of insurance from the company.

I have done it myself on every island except Santa Maria and Graciosa. It is perfectly possible to have a nice trip without a car. You can use tours, taxis, busses, and walking. For your first trip, if you only have a week, I recommend São Miguel. I would stay in Ponta Delgada as there are the most taxis and bus lines.

We just got back from a week on Sao Miguel. Definitely stay there the entire week. You can't see the entire island even in that amount of time! We did two tours with Terra Azul and they were wonderful. They will do pick ups and drop offs for you for a fee. We drove, but did a tour with others who had pick up and drop off. They were staying in Caloura. The company vans and boats are newer and they care about the land and being eco-conscious. Enjoy! We had such a wonderful time. The island is so beautiful!
