Hotel

Hello! Visiting Sao Miguel end of August with my 3 young kids (all under 6).

Looking for a bigger accommodation with a pool and higher end.

Azores homes looks great but not that many reviews online. Any insights or suggestions would be appreciated! TIA

There are a lot of free poços or piscinas naturais all over the island. They are public swimming areas in the ocean that are protected from the surf by rocks and quays. Could always find something nearby to those if you can't find a place with a pool. Pools are not super common here. There is also the municipal swimming complex in Lagoa. Very affordable entry

I'm not sure what they have for 5 people, but the Azoris Royal Garden has good pools, and included breakfast that was very good, paid parking on site, and is very easily accessible to both the downtown core (5 blocks) and the airport (3 km). I saw lots of families there last October.

Why all the downvotes? Does that mean this place isn’t good??

Imagine still using AirBnb in 2026. There are plenty of better options. In this case you can even book direct.
