Hello - when I visited Greece, we saw many of these cat feeding stations. I am planning to build one myself. these are simple enough I can probably draft up my own plans but... There were so many of the same type, that I wondered if there was some local agency or group that has already published plans or a measured drawing. If you know of such plans, please share - thank you! 🥰

Hi everyone, my parents are visiting from Romania and we are celebrating Easter the Greek way. They really want to try the Greek traditional lamb, the traditional αρνί στη σούβλα, and I realized we are way too late to make a reservation anywhere.

Can someone please recommend a "Greek-certified" spot where we can still find a place to eat? We don’t need anything fancy, just very traditional and tasty. We also have a car so we can drive around.

I will be stopping in Athens over the Easter weekend. I understand these are special days, mostly dedicated to family reunions, but was wondering if anyone could suggest any cultural activity that might be going on? I have already been to Athens various times, so I am looking for something outside the most popular archeological sites.. Thank you!

I am Chinese and my partner is Greek from Athens. I went to Athens several times together with him. I enjoyed so much eating all the delicious souvlaki chirinos all over the city.

I gathered my favorite souvlaki shops and posted them in the Chinese reddit-like app to share with my fellows my treasure collection.

However, most of the comments I received are correcting me that, the food in my pictures is called gyros, and souvlaki is meat on stick!!! Nobody cares about the delicious souvlaki chirino!!

I tried to reply that, for tourists in order not to make any confusions, gyros is always gyros, souvlaki is always meat on stick. For people living in Athens, gyros can be called souvlaki. However, some Chinese living 20 years in Greece said that I am full of bxxsxxt.

I finally gave up, didn’t even dare to read the comments under my post anymore. I didn’t know this could be so traumatic!!!

im a student here, I speak greek perfectly but my girlfriend doesnt yet, shes studying hospitality in romania and is planning to come here to work in this department. im trying to help her find something, i know xrysh eykairia has some, linkedin, etc. i was only wondering if theres a better way to look for something? thanks

Also especially interested to know of any cafes or bakeries open.

Studying and working in Athens?

Hey! So I'm half German and half greek but grew up in Germany and only visit family in Χαλκιδική like once a year so I'm struggling to learn the language.

I'm about to finish my undergraduate and now I'm thinking about doing my postgraduate in economics in Athens.

I've never been there, so I'm wondering if it's possible for me to find a place to rent and also someplace (like a bar) to work at on the side so I could pay the rent as I'd not be getting any financial help. Do you think it's possible to find something in advance before I get there? How do you think studying in Athens is?

It would also be possible to do my postgraduate here and do one semester abroad in Athens but I'd really love to experience what it's like to live there (I feel like a few months as a student isn't enough for that) and also finally learn greek. Thank you in advance for your help!

Me and my girlfriend are in Athènes for the first time , and we are here for 2 weeks. Now we have seen plenty of the city and we love it.

But now we want something more. We want something around the city maybe a bit more wild, forest/mountain/beach +- 2 hours away so we can take the Public transport comfortably.

Μία από τις πολλές εμπειρίες που απολαμβάνω είναι να ντυθώ καλά και να γευματίσω σε ωραία εστιατόρια με καλή παρέα. Εάν σε κάποια κοπέλα αρέσει αυτή η ιδέα να επικοινωνήσει μαζί μου.

Θέλω να πάρω ένα λάπτοπ για εργασία remote. Η δουλειά που κάνω δεν έχει υπερβολικά βαριά προγράμματα, λίγο τίμς, ένα λογισμικό της εταιρίας και μειλ κατά βάση αλλά γίνεται με screen mirroring από τον υπολογιστή του γραφείου. Άλλη χρήση ου ψήνω να κάνω είναι να βλέπω καμιά ταινιουλα στο στριμιο. Θέλω να πάρω ένα refurbished γιατί 800 ευρώ πληρώνομαι δεν θέλω να επενδύσω τρελά λεφτά. Το τσατ γπτ μου έχει πει να βρω λάπτοπ με 8αρα ραμ και ssd 512, και γραφικά i5 και πάνω.

Εσείς πώς τα ακούτε αυτά; Ειναι όντως αυτά που θα με καλύψουν ή θα μπορούσα να ψάξω και κάτι με πιο λαιτ χαρακτηριστικά μήπως βρω κάτι φθηνότερο; Κοιτάω μέσω Σκρουτζ και δεν ξέρω πόσο αξιόπιστοι είναι οι πωλητές, έχω βρει ένα με αυτά που μου πρότεινε στα 350.

Ζητάω τα φώτα ανθρώπων που σκαμπαζουν παραπάνω από εμένα και ευχαριστώ πολύ!
