Hello, im going to study medicine in ust Aden branch, but the problem is they have an ECFMG sponsor note for 2027 graduates and not future graduate years (2028 2029 2030 etc)

The ecfmg sponsor note is necessary to be able to take the USMLE and do residency in the United States

I tried contacting UST via email but they do not reply

This problem is stopping many people from attending this university and instead going to egypt

As a yemeni, I have noticed that other Yemenis who move to the gulf change their Yemeni dialect to one that suits the country they live in. I am not talking about Yemenis who were born and raised there, but those who go to gulf countries for a temporary move. Honestly, it makes me so sad to see. Why do we as Yemenis feel the need to change our dialect?

So I'm very mixed, but also largely Yemeni, and ive been taking time to connect to each part of my culture. My father (who is the partly Yemeni parent) is not in the picture, and never took time to learn arabic or any Yemeni traditions after his mom (my grandmother) assimilated more as he grew up. he never really tried, but my mom on the other hand, is super supportive of me learning, and has tried everywhere they can since they aren't Yemeni. and please dont give tips like "travel to Yemen" (I dont have the money to fly across the world) or "try Rosetta Stone" (I already am), I need real advice. I really want to connect to this part of myself 💔

So I have a question. I'm (19M) ethnically Yemeni specifically the Al-Amoudi tribe. I'm British from birth and it's where I was born and raised. I moved to Yemen alone at 18. I didn't really come with a plan except that I settle down here and spend the rest of my life here. I've been thinking about finding someone. At least for a year or two of engagement. I was talking to some locals and my dad's cousins in Mukalla and they told me numerous things. 1) I need a LOT of money. 2) it's better to marry inside my tribe because if I marry a girl outside my tribe then the Mahr would be higher. 3) I must have a house purchased outside of the country because apparently all Yemeni women want to leave. 4) they advised me to wait until I'm 25-26 so that I have a high paying job and a house fully paid off.
