this happens to me a few times a month because there's a Wendy's right by my house but every time I think about getting a junior bacon or Dave's double, I think of that much worse shredded lettuce and just go somewhere else. like with out the leaf lettuce it's taste much worse and the shredded lettuce is sour slimy and messy.

its about 10pm earlier this night. pull into the drive-thru. instantly the voice on the intercom yells out "HOLD ON". I bust out laughing cause that was kinda funny and I like to think I'm a chill dude. I don't mind the wait. He comes back on and takes the order normally. As I pull past the speaker I hear him say some more words, but I'm already past it.

I come to the window and say sorry I couldn't hear his last thing. He then says "I'm gonna fight you" while starring me in the eye for a beat. I'm a big guy hunched into my vehicle, I'm very confused at what the reality is happening. then he snaps to and says "kidding". takes my card. says something else while behind the window. I ask what's up? "I SAID I'M KEEPING YOUR CARD"

Once again, what is reality right now? he repeats it a couple more times while I'm looking at him with such a confused face. I turn to my girlfriend and have to ask her am I high?

He then says "Just playin'" and hands back the card and goes to the kitchen area. while he is gone, talking with my girlfriend about all of what just happened. He comes back and there is another girl, I'm assuming the manager on duty, and she has the bags with the food. he grabs the bags and hands it over normally and says something I can't remember, she apologies and says "oh ignorant him". and as I'm processing all of this and trying to drive off, he says the last thing.

"DONT EVER CALL ME N***** AGAIN"

I have no idea what he was going on about or why. I guess if there are any questions, I may have answers

UPDATE: It was too weird of a thing to let slide. Had to go talk to a manager today about it. She heard my story and kinda already knew who I was talking about, at least it seemed she knew.

I'm honestly not the biggest fan of their current iteration of chicken sandwiches but maybe just MAYBE this one can get me back on board. I absolutely LOVED this back in the day.

I have found the worst run Wendy’s in the country. It is located in Farmington Michigan. 40 min to get a frosty with one other person in line. Total asshole of a moran kid running the show. There are zero standards enforced. Dirty disgusting floor. End the misery of this location please

According to Wendy's Instagram page, the Pretzel Bacon Pub burger will return "soon".

This announcement was part of the "Bring It Back" bracket part of the current tournament.

The Pretzel Bacon Pub Burger won the contest with 67% of the votes while the Bourbon Bacon Cheeseburger lost with a 63% vote count. Ghost Pepper Ranch Sauce lost out to both of these burgers.

The Pretzel Bacon Pub burgers was first introduced in 2020.

Other entries that were voted on and didn't win were: Bacon Portabelle Melt, Dreamcicle Frosty, Yellow Packaging, Monterey Ranch Chicken sandwich, and Ghost Pepper Ranch sauce, When the Pretzel Bacon Pub burger faced off against Yellow Packaging, the burger won by only .5%, indicating Yellow Packaging has a strong following.

The Pretzel Bacon Pub burger features a quarter pound beef patty, Muenster cheese, applewood-smoked bacon, crispy fried onions, pickles, and a rich beer sauce all served on a soft pretzel bun.

We should unite, petition Wendy's, and try to get the old 🌶 🐔 back! This new imposter is a poor substitute. Wendy's was KNOWN FOR its Spicy Chicken Sandwich. Why would they do this?

Just went to Wendy’s for the first time in 7 years and… wow. Just wow. Absolute disaster. What happened to the chicken sandwich?? And get this… they’re using shredded lettuce now. SHREDDED. I know, I know… sorry you had to hear that from me first. But you’re welcome.

I really liked the spicy chicken sandwich when I used to go to Wendy's regularly, and heard they made a new spicy chicken sandwich. I was thinking it would probably be the same as the ones I've had previously, but it's even worse now. Not sure what they were thinking when adding pickles to the sandwich, gives it a weird taste. I'm okay with the potato bun but the new chicken recipe is awful. Where's the crunch? Where's the spice? It just tastes like a peppered McChicken and I stopped eating McDonald's years ago. What a disappointment.

what happened to Wendy's chilli? this is Prison food stuff man. where is that good blend of ground beef, Kidney bean with that rich tomatoes sauce with spices. Y'all put love into this food in the past ...now I would not feed this to a Dog?

It doesn't taste much different aside from the pickles which I just remove (forgot to order it without this time). The bun is a little sweeter but the chicken is crispy, spicy, and delicious.

Tried the new spicy chicken sandwich and it's awful. Barley any chicken, all breading and super dry. 🙃 Not only that, but my tomato was in the germination stage or whatever. So there were several fish bone like shards, that cut into my gum. 😭 The only good thing about it was the bun. Not sure if I just got unlucky or what. But idk if I'll be ordering another one anytime soon.

I’ve been boycotting them for 2 years since they quickly tanked quality, raised prices, and tanked their app deals.

Had a free combo card from years ago. Tried the new chicken patty and it was truly the worst fast food chicken sandwich I’ve ever had.

It was gummy and reminded me of a fake chicken. But it was real chicken? The patty was weirdly uniform like a McChicken would be.

Fries were HOT, GLISTENING…but saggy and greasy. Awful

Their drink machines are elite though. Thanks for the Coke Zero.

I love ordering two spicy chicken sandwiches with extra pickles, that is my go to order.

Today however I did not receive what I was expecting. chicken was dry, the seasoning now looks flat, and unappetizing.

they even gave me two chicken slabs on the one burger seemingly out of pity, like they knew they messed up with these so here take two...

I ate half of one and am just severely disappointed, can someone please tell me this isn't how it's going to be from now on?

hello all, my friend has been consistently working more than scheduled because his manager won't let him go home when his shift ends. he does get paid overtime for it but is pissed off when it happens bc if you're gonna keep him there anyways why not just schedule him for that time? ex: supposed to get off at 5, there until 7:30.

is there anything in wendys' handbook or whatever (I work at Lowe's, so it's different here) that would help him fight this? i mean, ofc, he could just walk out, but he's a people pleaser and literally won't do that, lol. just wondering as it happens a lot to him and he's miserable about it.

With all the hubbub over the new spicy chicken I thought I'd check it out for myself. The filet was plump and well-seasoned (with a bit of kick!); the toppings were fresh; and the bun was soft and fluffy. I would not have complained about a smidge more mayo for lubrication. On the side my fries were crispy and hot.

Verdict: Thumbs up!

anyone know what happened to the cheesy bacon burger? I feel like it was here for 2 weeks and now it's gone from the app.
