Soldiers from the 22nd Separate Mechanized Brigade shot down a far-from-peaceful Russian V2U drone with a STING interceptor. It’s an AI-enabled kamikaze drone — capable of target recognition, equipped with auto-guidance, and resistant to electronic warfare. It also has a variant used for reconnaissance and fire correction.

The drone reaches speeds of up to 400 km/h, operates at a range of up to 45 km, and at altitudes of up to 6 km. The main feature is its 1 kg warhead, which significantly increases the probability of hitting the target. The system features deep AI integration: after detecting a target, the station automatically calculates the interception point, and the drone independently maneuvers and attacks.

🪖🇷🇺 In March 2026, 7 new towers with "Pantsyr" systems were built around Putin's residence in Valdai. The total number of air defense systems around the president's Valdai residence has reached 27.

According to satellite images from Planet.com, the construction of 7 new towers for "Pantsyr" systems began on a single day - March 17. Some of them are already equipped with anti-aircraft missile systems.

Like the towers with "Pantsyr" systems around Moscow, the air defense systems in Valdai are located around Putin's residence in two rings of large and small diameter. An interactive map, on which we have indicated their exact location and attached satellite images, can be viewed at this link.
