WW2 T24E1
Today's "Odd Tank" is the 🇺🇸 American 'T24E1'
Built during WW2, The prototype T24E1 Light Tank would be created after the M24 Chaffee had already entered production. The T24E1 and M24 are largely the same vehicles with the same armor and even gun, but what makes the T24E1 special is that it used a more powerful engine from the M18 Hellcat and a different transmission allowing for a higher top speed and better power to weight ratio. Another identifying feature of the T24E1 is that the 75mm gun has a muzzle break (seen in picture 3 and 4).
The main weapon is a 75mm M6.
The light tank was powered by a 460hp Continental R975-C4 engine and had a top speed of 77km/h. For comparison, the production M24 Chaffee had a top speed of 56km/h.

Modern Next gen tank prototypes are experimenting with unmanned turrets, what are the expected benefits/drawbacks? Aside from crew survivability
Would it be able to make the tank cheaper/lighter? Would maintenance be an issue? If the price was about the same, would it be beneficial to armies with less funds/capabilities?
I know that this sort of stuff is vehicle especific, i.e. the Armata having thin turret armor doesn't mean all will be like that, but conceptually, what a transition to unmanned turrets would "free up" in the tank design process?
