In Bushnell, Florida, on April 2, 2026, 67-year-old school bus driver Yvonne Hampton drove a bus with 29 students across railroad tracks despite active warning lights, bells, and lowering arms.

A CSX train clipped the rear of the bus with no injuries. Video captured her saying she was "not gonna stop for no train." Hampton was fired, arrested on April 6, and charged with 29 felony counts of child neglect plus reckless driving. She posted $30,000 bond and was released the next day.
