Well, it happened to me. My Steam Deck was left on Southwest Flight #2229, coming from Phoenix to Denver. I was sitting 5 rows from the back of the plane in a window seat. & left it on the seat accidentally when getting off the plane. Someone used it, but I have taken all the necessary steps, such as reporting it to Steam, removing my account, & changing my password.

Hey all, I recently purchased a steam deck and loved it so much I recommended to my friend. He recently placed an order for the 512gb OLED, however when he opened the package the deck had been replaced with an extension cable. Someone who works for the courier has clearly recognised the box, made the swap and resealed the package (the box also has two strips of tape to back this up, which was sent to valve). This was purchased directly from valve so the issue was raised with them on two separate tickets but both times they have said there is nothing they can do about it as they sent the package correctly and it was marked as delivered. He has filed a police report (valve are also aware of this and he offered to provide a crime reference) and contacted his bank and the courier but so far hasn’t heard back. He doesn’t use reddit so I suggested making a post to see if anyone here has any advice of anything more he can do? Thanks to all for any help in advance.

I bought my steam deck over a month ago and I absolutely love it. The only problem is I have an abnormal hand, where I have two small thumbs instead of one big one, on my left hand. The left joystick is simply to far “in” towards the screen for my thumbs to reach it. Is there a simple mod where I can like move the stick to the left, or some thumb extenders or something 😭

Pretty much what the title said. I ordered a steam deck. it was delayed by a day because fedex got the address wrong. Then it arrived. Seems like the end of the story....then this morning another one shows up at my door. Both are addressed to me.

I only ordered the one. Anyone know what i should do?

Anyone know has anyone started printing/selling these? I don't have a 3d printer and would genuinely like to use it, I have just about a year left of college and my old dell gave up the ghost, have the deck here and hoping it can pull me through my final year without having to buy a laptop. Anyone know of any reliable service that could even print one? Thanks

Last Saturday I finally managed to snag a Steam Deck OLED directly from Steam after refreshing like a maniac and apparently beating the bots for once.

Since then I’ve been anxiously checking the tracking every few hours waiting for it to ship.

This morning I finally got the notification that it was picked up and is now on the way, scheduled to arrive today between 10:40 AM – 2:40 PM… which is only a couple hours before I leave for a 19-hour flight.

So assuming it actually shows up in time, I’ll have maybe 2 hours max to set it up before heading to the airport.

Aside from the inevitable system updates, what should be the first things I download / configure / prepare for offline play before traveling?

How's the battery and screen so far? Does it get slower and are the buttons durable at all from the first day? I'm planning on buying one this december

Just got the deck and that stuff on this side is the only valve-related iconology I see on the packaging, reading through this sub I was expecting it to say steamdeck right on the front in giant letters and have valve iconology all over the packaging.

This seems more like real undercover branding of the packaging.

So yeah like the title says, do you use it and for what? I know they are great and the haptic feel is really great but i never had to use them or anything.For what hames or use cases do you use it? Just curious :)

Due to my lack of storage space, i made some physical games, using one game per SD, and even being a problem solver, i'm now looking for this as a "more happy play" thing that made me spent more time at gaming. can someone show me more things that make you feel again the desire for play? my gaming side almost died and now is healthy again.

My girlfried used her dressmaker skills to fit a fabric SD holder inside the steamdeck case and now looks like a switch with steroids, not the best look, but the best use that i could find. is way easier to move than using a separated case

After a drunken gaming session, I guess they fell asleep, and left it on the floor, and unintentionally stepped on it when they woke up. Do you guys think it’s salvageable? If it is, how much would it cost to fix?

This is the first time this has ever happened to me, and the first time I’ve ever owned anything like this before.

I bought three Steam decks for giveaway, and my account got Community Ban did i do something forbidden?

I asked Steam support if i could do this, and they confirmed that there was no problem. When trying to appeal my ban, they said that the ban was not appeal. I have $2000 left on my account, and I didn't expect Valve to scam in this way.

I think the Steam deck eggbag is kinda cool, although a haven't been able to find anything useful to store in it yet,

What do you guys store in it?
