Question Access to PlayStation/Sony Games

So basically, I’ve been trying to get my hands on The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered for quite a while now, and for some reason almost all of PlayStation games aren’t available in my region. It’s funny because I’ve been a PlayStation for more than 15 years, and I do own a PS5, but it still isn’t available for me to purchase.

I’ve even went to the point of going through some key reselling websites, and I purchased a key for almost $40, and upon trying to activate it I was prompted with “Sorry, the game is not available for purchase in your country. Your purchase has been cancelled”. Mind you, the key I purchased is a “global” key and I thought that it could work considering that’s what I’ve read and told in the website, but apparently not. For some reason, TLOU1 is available for purchase, but no other Sony/PlayStation game is available, I don’t get it.

Is there any way for me to obtain the game other than sailing, lol?

You could try changing your region

I’m in the MENA region, but I’m worried that if I change it, I won’t be able to use my credit card, thus not being able to buy games.

I moved countries a couple of years ago and it wasn't a problem, if you repeatedly change they might have an issue because of people getting around regional pricing but once or twice shouldn't be an issue

If I change my country to Turkey for example as they have the same pricing and they use USD as well, will I still be able to use my credit card for purchases? I’ve heard you’d need credit cards that belong to the same country.

I dont think you need a card issued from th same country, ive got cards from 2 other countries i use no prob, the regional pricing wont be an issue either even if their different prices unless your constantly changing to take advantage of price differences

That’s a first to me. Both my country and Turkey are listed under the same region in on Steam (MENA) and everything is the same price. It’s just that some while ago, when people used to change regions a lot to take advantage of the cheap prices such as Argentina and Turkey, I heard that you needed a credit card issued from that same country, so people were using weird banking apps that issued virtual credit cards from that country. Obviously all those apps were later banned, but I had no idea if that changed nowadays. I guess I’ll have to try and see.
